DOTA Madness

Chapter 118

“You are well informed.”

Furion nodded, confirming that he had once visited Southern Wilderness: “I went there half a year ago. After I returned, a map of the depths of Thunder Swamp was indeed drawn. ”

His words relieved Zhao Dingguo.

He had mentioned Southern Outpost, so he wasn’t afraid that Furion would make things difficult for him regarding the map. What he was most worried about along the way was that Furion did not make the map, and apparently he could finally rest assured.

“So, Lord Furion, can you give me the map?”

Furion smiled a little, and an inexplicable natural force permeated it, calming down some of Zhao Dingguo’s excitement and anticipation: “The map is in my study room. It cost nothing to show you, but I need you to tell me in detail all about the great vortex and its relationship with the Naga! ”

He was actually interested in the situation there.

This requirement was too easy for Zhao Dingguo. He immediately explained the situation before and after. When hearing Zhao Dingguo’s analysis that Naga might have a scheme in Southern Wilderness, Furion’s brow frowned slightly. He banged his fingers gently on the armrest of the rattan chair, groaned for a moment, and murmured, “Did those guys come for Decaying Ancient Wood?”

“Decaying Ancient Wood?”

Zhao Dingguo froze and didn’t know what it was.

“That’s right!” Furion was still pondering, ignoring him: “It is very possible! After the earthquake more than half a year ago, the Decaying Ancient Wood was exposed to the ground. I don’t know where they got the news, but it explains why the Naga would take action, and also the reason why the Southern Wilderness’s situation has only worsened since then. Although the reasons may not stop there, there is indeed something strange in it … ”

He talked to himself for a while before coming back to his senses.

Zhao Dingguo stood quietly in front of him and waited without interrupting him rashly, which was very impolite.

“Sorry!” Furion smiled apologetically and got up. “Thank you for telling me. I’m very satisfied. Come, I’ll take you to the study room!”

Following him, Zhao Dingguo arrived at a concisely furnished study on the second floor.

Furion searched inside the study room’s magical closet for a while, and finally pulled out a scroll made of inferior parchment. Obviously, the owner didn’t take it seriously: “Hey, this is it! I stayed in the Thunder Swamp for three days and shuttled hundreds of times. In order to record the terrain inside, I even had to fight against two elite Dragon Lords! ”

Zhao Dingguo took it carefully and looked at the scribbled map of this painting. The above notes were a bit messy and not very detailed, and a few places were a little blank, but the main terrain deep in Thunder Swamp was still recorded. As he saw, there were roughly three lakes connected to the endless sea at the southern end of Thunder Swamp!

Considering the large vortex in the middle of the lake, only these three larger lakes could meet the requirements.

“Let me print it for you!”

Just as Zhao Dingguo was preparing to rote, Furion thoughtfully offered to help. With his magic,  after a moment of effort, a brand new map was ready. He rewinded the scrolls unhurriedly and handed them to Zhao Dingguo.

“Sir, thank you very much for your gracious help!”

Anyway,  he was a plot hero of the Sentinel Corp. There was no harm in being grateful.

“It’s nothing, I want to contribute a bit to the safety of the Southern Wilderness.” Furion didn’t care, but there was a  slight slyness in his tone, ” but of course, I still have a small request! ”

Sure enough, there is no free lunch!

Zhao Dingguo’s heart tightened, and his hand catching the scroll also stopped in the air, and asked, “I don’t know if there is anything I can do for you Lord Furion?”

Furion smiled and said, “Young man, don’t be so nervous, just a small task.” Then, he pulled out another scroll from the closet and spread it out in front of Zhao Dingguo: “Look carefully at this. If you find it in the depths of Thunder Swamp, please inform me immediately. Of course, I will not let you do it for free. As long as you can find it, I will give you a generous reward! ”

Just help to find something?

Zhao Dingguo was relieved and looked in the past. The quality of this scroll was obviously higher than that of the map just now. There was not much pen and ink depicted above, but it was lifelike. If he understood correctly, it should be a dead trunk, except that the annual rings in the trunk were not round, but weirdly star-shaped. There were also a few lines of small print below the picture, which roughly describe the characteristics of this dead trunk!

“It is from a plant called the Sabbath Tree!”

Furion said: “This kind of tree only grows in the southern wilderness. After they wither, they are buried for ten thousand years in the extremely harsh environment, and then being exposed to the sun again. Decaying Ancient Wood is formed by a lot of coincidence. That’s why it’s a treasure. A magic ring made with this material will be able to shield all the breath of the user, so no undead creature can notice him! ”

Magic ring?

Undead?

Furion’s words no doubt leaked some information so that Zhao Dingguo had a faint understanding of something.

It seemed that Furion wanted to go to a place guarded by strong undead monsters. Even with his strength, he couldn’t rush into it directly, so he wanted this thing. From the fact that Furion had dispatched himself for more than half a year ago, that place must be very important to Furion. And listening to his words, it seemed that the reason the Naga tribe came to Southern Wilderness far away, also for this Decaying Ancient Wood!

This made Zhao Dingguo deeply curious.

According to a piece of news heard by him, Furion of this generation had cultivated to his peak 20 years ago. His manipulation of the power of nature was amazing. What kind of mystery or forbidden place could block his footsteps? Judging from the Naga’s interest in that place, perhaps there were some really incredible treasures in it!

This also made Zhao Dingguo pay attention.

“If possible, I really have to look for this so-called Decaying Ancient Wood. However, even a powerful plot hero like Furion who could freely teleport couldn’t find it. I’m afraid I’m no different.”

“That’s hard to say!”

As if the hero could read his mind, Furion explained: “The greatest function of Decaying Ancient Wood is to shield the breath. This is its value and the most difficult reason to discover. Because it does not leak the slightest breath, plus the color is dark black, it’s hard to find in a swamp. Even if you see it with your own eyes, you might miss it. So, after getting the prophecy of the Decaying Ancient Wood from the World Tree, I sent people to find it many times and even went out on my own, but I haven’t been able to find it. Finding it actually needs more luck than skill! ”

Furion said very clearly that the Decaying Ancient Wood was in the depths of Thunder Swamp, but whether it could be found depending on luck!

“That being the case, I will remember your words. If I find traces of Decaying Ancient Wood, I will come to inform you!” Zhao Dingguo promised generously, and his expression looked quite sincere.

As an elf, he had a long life. In addition, as one of the corp’s elders, Furion’s experience was ten or twenty times more than that of Zhao Dingguo. Seeing Zhao Dingguo’s slightly contrived movements, he only smiled slightly and urged: “I don’t know how you plan to enter the depths of Thunder Swamp, but I need to remind you that it’s very dangerous there, and there are some monsters which even I find it difficult to deal with. With your current strength, I am afraid that after entering, you wouldn’t return alive! If there is nothing to rely on, it is best not to go in!”
