Dungeons for the Devil, Dungeons for the Core

Earlier in the morning in the office were four completely regular faces: the King, the Chancellor, General Rover and Sir Warren.

"So the noise in Vazari was aimed at subhuman slave recapture?

"Yes, the noise in Lower Town was just a small fire (boya) as it was in Barren, and apparently the only smoke in the Lords' Hall"

"Just smoke?

"Yes, she couldn't even breathe in the fierce smoke, but later verification said there were no burning marks"

"I don't know if it's magic or magic props, but can you do that?

"I guess the other guy can at least do the thing about being hit. It's a very useful technique militarily, but at least I don't know how not to use fire."

The king pinches his mouth for the conversation between the three prime ministers.
