The line of mamas with slightly strong build came with buckets of steaming water followed by the little palace maids carrying wooden boxes and silk dresses. Tang-mama lead the procession and headed to a corner of Ning Lou's palace, probably the where the bath and dressing room located.

Ning Lou lost count of the number of people that passed by and just silently appreciated the marvellous privileges.

Being served by this number of people while bathing…

There seems to be something wrong when she repeated the words in her head.

Wait…bath….bath…n.a.k.e.d….bath…? The appreciation Ning Lou first felt turned into a complicated emotion. She unconsciously covered her c.h.e.s.t imagining things inside her head. The tip of her ears became red with such thoughts.

"What are you thinking?" The old woman asked after noticing her actions. Her eyes didn't even stare at the procession too long and had been on Ning Lou ever since and because of these she saw the minimal changes in the girl's expression.

Ning Lou let her hand down and shook her head too embarrassed to say the truth.

The old woman was going to say something but when she saw Tang-mama headed their way, she held it and just patted Ning Lou hands, "Don't worry, no one will hurt you, Grandmother is here."

Ning Lou's eyebrows twitched at the reminder. Their two minds might be on different planes sometimes making her want to laugh, nevertheless with a comforting feeling that words have brought to her, she nodded and plastered the second genuine smile she ever did since she transmigrated. She wished Madam Ling Shi of the modern world would also have a tenth of this sweetness.

"You Highness, the bath is ready." Tang-mama arrived in front of them and bowed to Ning Lou and the Empress Dowager.

Ning Lou glanced at the old woman once more before she stood up and made her way to the direction Tang-mama came from. Her eyes darted towards the tasteful furnishings, constantly estimating the value of each when sold in the modern world. What a pity! If she could bring these babies back, how good would that be?

Tang-mama stopped on her tracks in front of a door, "Your Highness, the bath is ready."

Along with those words, the door squeaked revealing the interior of the room. Ning Lou stepped inside and once again was thrown in appreciation for the creativity the ancient people possessed. The white muslins swayed creating an entrancing effect along with the steams rising from the pool. The jade steps under her feet felt cool soothing her from the heat. Phoenix beasts from the corners of the room filling the water like a faucet, pink and white petals, and leaves scattered everywhere. She couldn't help but scooped a handful of water and smell the fragrance coming from it. Despite being a crude person from her past life, she was still a woman who likes vain things.

"Your Highness, your dress." A palace maid bowed beside her.

"I would like to be alone." Ning Lou said without glancing at the little girl.

"But…" The little girl stuttered and couldn't believe what she heard.

"Yes.." The palace maid made a bow and retreated outside.

The palace maids that were inside the room checking the temperature of the water heard Ning Lou's words and exchanged glances. They had confused expressions on their faces when they went out.

The door was closed leaving Ning Lou to her fantasy.

Tang-mama was confused after seeing the girls she assigned to serve went outside, "Did you offend Her Highness?" Her voice had a pinch of anger.

The palace that interacted with Ning Lou answered, "Her Highness doesn't want us to serve her and ordered us stay outside and wait for her call."

The palace maids that came with her nodded their heads in agreement.

Tang-mama furrowed her brows after witnessing another strange thing. Normally, that little girl would asked a maid or two to help her bath because she was afraid someone would make a move in her inside, but now she was capable of being alone, this little girl had become more m.a.t.u.r.e and independent. Tang-mama gradually smiled but still reminded the girls to watch out and serve Ning Lou well.

The palace maids simultaneously nodded and gave their utmost best to assure Tang-mama.

Tang-mama left the place and headed to where the Empress Dowager was. By the time she arrived, she saw the other laying on the reclining chair and was dozing off. Sighing, she went to look for a blanket and covered the Empress Dowager. The matter of last night may have worried her too much and she couldn't have a good sleep.

Time flies past and Ning Lou forget that she had been soaked inside the pool for 30 minutes already. The palace maids were worried that something happened couldn't help but asked Ning Lou from outside, "Your Highness, Is there anything you need?" The palace maid chose her words wisely.

Ning Lou turned her head towards the door and realized that the steams inside the pool were long gone and the water was now cold. Cl.i.c.k.i.n.g her tongue, she reluctantly parted with the pool and went to look inside the room for some clothes to change to before calling the maids inside. In addition to the white muslins hanging in the ceiling, there was also a white partition at the corner where an incense burner was build similar to the room she was previously occupying.

She set the partition at the side and saw the neatly stack of clothes folded in the corner. Picking the supposed dried clothes similar to what she was wearing; she changed into it and called for the maids inside to start dressing her.

"You can come in now." Ning Lou said and sat on the stool facing the table filled with ancient cosmetics and copper mirror. Although it wasn't very clear compared to the mirror from the modern era, she could still make up her appearance. She could see the peerless look this body possessed.

Four palace maids came in and bowed to Ning Lou. Two of them went behind the partition and carefully pick up the clothes. Ning Lou stood up and let them put the on the clothes on her.

When they were finished, another palace maid did her makeup, and the other one styled her hair into a bun. The two palace maid came forth with boxes and presented Ning Lou what's inside. What she saw inside each boxes nearly blinded her eyes.
