“But you do know about his past self?” Li Qiye asked Water Emissary while glancing at Fog Emissary.

“I do feel a familiarity between us, were we acquaintances once?” Fog Emissary asked.

“Of course not, you are you and I am just an underwater ghost.” Water Emissary shook his head.

“I’m talking about my past self.” Fog Emissary pursued the matter.

“Your past self or external matters had nothing to do with me.” Water Emissary denied.

Fog Emissary didn’t buy it and gritted his teeth, thinking of a way to pry it out of him.

“Back to Old Pact, what happened next?” Li Qiye wanted to know the process.

“No one was left alive, perhaps only the guide who led them here. I do not know the details since I was hiding underwater. Nevertheless, a monstrous weapon activated, and in my opinion, it was strong enough to kill an overlord.” Water Emissary said with dread.

“Got it.” Li Qiye found out that the progenitors used their ace card and said: “It was blocked successfully, the only reason why your market is still around.”

“Yes, so lucky.” Water Emissary patted his chest before smiling brightly: “It’s nice to be alive, even for a ghost. And the power was the reason why I said the ghost market wasn’t involved, it was just too much to handle.”

“That’s not something I can answer, Sir.” Water Emissary smiled and glanced over at Fog Emissary: “He has the most knowledge out of anyone in the market so if he doesn’t know...”

“I’m too new of a ghost to know about it.” Fog Emissary responded.

“How did you become an emissary?” Water Emissary asked.

“Splash!” He dived into the water and the river disappeared.

“Where are you going?!” Fog Emissary had more questions so he also gave chase, leaving behind Li Qiye and Six-style.

“What should we do now, Young Noble?” Six-style asked.

“To Heavenfall to figure out the secret behind this.” Li Qiye looked ahead and said.

“We must cross through Forest of Thoughts first.” Six-style said.

“That’s fine, we’re getting close.” Li Qiye smiled.

The major ghost market could be divided into three sections - the market itself, Forest of Thoughts, and Heavenfall.

The market was the main region where transactions took place between cultivators and ghosts. Forest of Thoughts was outside - a mountainous and verdant area with no end in sight.

As for Heavenfall, it had nothing outside of perils. Therefore, even the grand ghosts refrained from visiting.

Li Qiye and Six-style entered Forest of Thoughts and saw no ghosts. This looked just like the regular world.
