“Your words are overbearing.” Witch King finally spoke, unable to handle the repeated insults.

“They’re kind reminders, that emperors such as yourselves should stop being idiotic frogs in a well.” Li Qiye said.

The crowd stopped yelling at Li Qiye. Some of them thought arguing with a madman was an exercise in futility.

Golden Flower shared the same curiosity despite not joining the show.

Witch King took a deep breath and said: “I have my reputation and status to think of but since you’re looking for a fight, someone else will fight in my stead.”

He murmured something unknown while forming a mudra with both hands.

“Devil Emissary, accept my summon.” He declared.

“Poof!” Black fog appeared next to him and made everyone tremble.

A few emperors and desolate gods knew the legend of Devil Emissary. He used to be a kind and virtuous man, shining as bright as gold. For some unknown reason, he sold his best traits to a devil and took on this new form.

Golden Flower and Witch King’s aura could crush someone to death, but Devil Emissary’s evil infection could follow them through the cycles.

Perhaps Devil Emissary was not as strong as these two apex emperors, but he was certainly more frightening.

“Devil Emissary will fight in my stead.” Witch King said.

“Anyone else?” Li Qiye glanced at Devil Emisarry before asking but no one else joined.

“Fine, the three of you then. Make your move first while you still have the chance.” Li Qiye said.

Ouyang Dragon God and Dragon Pond nearly vomited blood from anger. This was their first time being treated this way.

Devil Emissary didn’t react, looking like a venomous serpent looming in the darkness and preparing for a fatal strike at Li Qiye’s neck.

“Let’s do this.” The two cultivators exchanged glances, coming to an understanding of using their strongest move.
