Chapter 6129: Only One Chance

As the deadly attacks nearly hit Li Qiye, he simply took one step forward while turning, easily walking through both.

However, both attacks still struck two targets causing them to scream. One person was hit by the soulburn flames and screamed in agony. The other was cut into four pieces by the dual slashes; his dao fruits and anima tree became exposed and frozen.

Hoarfrost and Lightwatch ended up hitting each other instead of Li Qiye.

“No!!!” Hoarfrost activated her dao to its limit during this crisis but it couldn’t stop the flames from burning her soul and reducing her to ashes.

Lightwatch, on the other hand, couldn’t even scream. The dual slashes instantly dismembered him and froze everything. The remnant pieces, including dao fruits and the anima tree, shattered like ice afterward.

“Was that some cosmic reversal technique?” Li Qiye somehow shifted the attacks back at the two emperors, causing them to kill each other.

One desolate god came to a realization and blurted: “No, that’s not right. The flames could kill Hoarfrost Emperor, not the ice blades and Lightwatch Emperor.”

Others exchanged glances and agreed with this assessment. The soulburn flame was rumored to be from hell, famous for its deadly and unrelenting nature. Moreover, Hoarfrost was considerably weaker so her attacks shouldn’t have been able to kill him.

An eleven-fruit emperor killing an emperor at the stately level? Impossible.

The crowd held their breath, not wanting to disturb him. Normally, people didn’t dare to speak before an apex emperor but Li Qiye was on the other side of the spectrum. After listening to him, everyone thought these three were doomed.

“I don’t get it at all.” Someone shook her head and gave up on understanding the technique.

Witch King and Golden Flower stared at Ghost-matron Emperor. The former two weren’t from Phantom.

“How about asking Specter Ancestor to leave and come back another day for the dao enlightenment?” Witch King had to ask.

He had no confidence in stopping Li Qiye so the outcome would be the same.

“No, there is only one chance.” Ghost-matron shook her head firmly, prepared to fight to the death.

“If we can’t stop him, Specter Ancestor will still fail.” Golden Flower said.

“This is out of absolute necessity, Fellow Daoists, please lend me your strength to buy time.” Ghost-matron insisted.
