From Konoha's point of view, the protagonist's behavior of leaving Konoha can indeed be called betrayal.

But from the protagonist's point of view, he has never really joined Konoha, so why is he betraying this?

Don't look at the protagonist's problems from Konoha's point of view. From the protagonist's point of view, even though the Konoha system has many drawbacks and bad habits, it is a fact that it has the grace to nurture and teach oneself.

No matter how much I cover up, the protagonist has been blessed by Konoha, grows up in Konoha, and teaches ninja skills.
