“Okay,” Karin’s voice lowered, “Then, come back soon.”

……

"The alien beast codenamed Leviathan has become active again. Night Raid Team, please deploy immediately." CIC issued the combat order.

Three chrome Chester fighter jets took off from Freedom Fortress, their optical camouflage activated, and the aircraft disappeared into the night.

Lefria walked toward the campers.

"That's Orion. Do you see those three stars side by side? Keep going down. Here, take the telescope. If all goes well..."

The speaker made way for the person in the group, and the person in the group walked up to the binoculars and curiously pressed their eyes against them.

"After you see the three stars, you can look down and see the Orion Nebula, an object that is easy to find even for beginners."

The speaker noticed his companion's hand was shaking: "Huh? Did you see it? Even if you're excited, don't blur the camera lens."

Suddenly, his companion raised his face, which was covered in cold sweat.

"what happened?"

"Flowers... such big flowers..."

The person explaining the celestial bodies to their companion frowned and turned their head in the direction their companion was pointing.

"Ahhhhh!!!"

He never imagined he could scream at such a high decibel level.

A gigantic creature came into view; a monster with flowers on its face walked out under the moonlight.

Out of fear, he forgot about the binoculars, grabbed his companion who was frozen in place with fright, and ran down the mountain, stumbling along the shallow ground.

The others also discovered the sudden appearance of the monster, and the barbecue feast, which was halfway through, came to an abrupt end. There was no time for doubt or thought; everyone hurriedly fled for their lives.

But one person is different.

He stood quietly at the edge of the open space, the object in his hand gleaming silver in the moonlight.

The Evolution Truster is now flashing rhythmically, in sync with the frequency of its heartbeat.

“Faust will reappear,” Jun Himeya said, watching Lyfreya walk toward the crowd, as if speaking to someone, or perhaps giving himself a hint: “This time, I will not be swallowed by darkness again, absolutely not!”

As Chromium Chester flew to the battlefield, Kazuki Komon saw a reassuring light appear beside Lefreya.

Kira Sawa's instructions came to my ears:

"After the Ultra Warriors deployed the Meta Field, they rushed into the field in an assault formation and began the annihilation operation."

Before their eyes, the giant had transformed, raising his hand to unleash a blue beam of light, from which a golden ocean descended.

Samuel spotted two enormous figures on the battlefield in the distance, and the slowly falling light.

He had already thought it through. He was in poor condition right now, so the best course of action was to end the battle quickly.

Nexus happened to be there too, so he could take advantage of the fact that the alien beast's attention was on Nexus and deliver a heavy blow from behind!

Right in front of that petal-shaped head!

"That's it! The flower I saw that day!" Jun Sakuma wished he could pounce on it and transform into a raging inferno to burn that strange beast to ashes!

"That's what killed Sakura!"

Lefria has changed somewhat since I first saw her, but no matter how much she has changed, Jun Sakuma would never mistake the ugly yellow flower on her face!

His wife yelled at him to hurry up, as pollen slowly seeped into her skin from beside her hand, burning it. Jun Sakuma vaguely saw a huge creature hiding itself in the pollen-filled "mist."

The yellow flowers quickly approached the windshield.

What kind of thing is that? Knowing that there are alien beasts is completely different from being separated from them by only a pane of glass.

It was indeed shaped like a flower, but it was more like a fleshy flower, with extremely thick petals and stamens, and it was oozing disgusting mucus.

Later, he vaguely saw the Night Raid Team's blue-black uniforms emerge from the tunnel. Because of the presence of pollen, they dared not use powerful weapons easily, fearing that their flammable properties might harm the people in the car.

The freezing bomb drove the alien beast away, and the pollen concentration outside the car gradually decreased, but Sakuma Sakura was already...

This damned alien beast is right in front of him!

This is... absolutely perfect!

Samuel felt his reactions were much sharper due to the human host's anger.

His somewhat drowsy mind was now quite clear, and the energy within his body seemed to echo Jun Sakuma's anger, surging and flowing like boiling blood.

Samuel gathered his energy, and without touching the ground, the silver ball of light condensed into a human shape in mid-air.

The giant stood on flames, with moonlight behind him, and the wind howled overhead as he aimed at the slowly advancing alien beast.

"Boom--!"

Three chrome Chesters pierced through the dust kicked up by the kicks, executing a formation operation, and combined into an assault-type Chester in the giant's bewildered gaze.

"Eh?"

Jun Sakuma looked around, and Samuel looked around.

Nexus and Levia suddenly vanished, as if they had been wiped off the battlefield.

Jun Sakuma overheard that the kid named Kazuki Komon and his teammates seemed to be nervously preparing for something.

"Generation connection successful!"

Huh? The monsters have all disappeared, what are you doing?

"Approaching the critical point of the Meta signal generator, 89%, 95%, already reached!"

Meta, what?

"Confirm phase of contact with Metaspace, synchronization to begin!"

Phase what?

Immediately afterwards, he saw the three-in-one fighter jet seem to crash into an invisible wall and disappear into a white lightning-like "crack".

"..."

The wind still howls, and the moon still shines bright.

Samuel glanced down at the crowd who were running away in a panic, still not having realized what was happening.

And the forest that he had just kicked and destroyed.

Jun Sakuma then asked a question that even he couldn't answer:

"Where did they go?"

Chapter Thirteen: Meta Realm (Bonus Chapter for Recommendation)

"This is Meta Realm?"

As the assault-type Chester entered the same phase, the blinding white light passed, and what appeared before Saijo Nagi was a desolate land.

Occasionally, a light resembling the aurora would streak across the sky, beneath which howled winds carrying sand and dust.

The dust was reddish-brown, like a battlefield where blood had dried after a long battle.

The shimmering light on the lake reflected the ferocious and terrifying figure of the alien beast.

Nexus stood amidst this desolation.

It's like facing a large army, closing the city gates, turning around and cutting the drawbridge, and the soldiers holding out outside the moat.

The Meta-Tank domain is like a "moat" for human cities.

It isolates danger and carefully protects the peaceful life.

People are free to experience happy troubles, pursue their ideals, and feel everything that life has to offer.

There is no threat beyond our comprehension.

Alien beasts, demons, and the unknown darkness—Meta Realm encompasses them all.

A warrior cannot retreat, for he sees it as his duty, destiny, and redemption.

A soldier cannot afford to fail, for failure means the fall of the city and the death of his people, a nightmare far more terrifying than the wars he has documented with his camera.

When the battle ends and daylight breaks, everything will return to normal, as if the bloody battle had never happened—only the wounded warriors will look on with satisfaction at the peaceful lights of every home, and perhaps children will run past their doors with candy in their purses.

That was the happiness he longed for.

It would be even better if Sera were here too.

A mountain-sized alien beast roared towards them, and Nexus assumed a fighting stance, charging towards it with unwavering determination.

"You're really brave."

He kicked away the claws that Lefreya was trying to pry open, and the demon's voice echoed eerily behind him.

Dark Faust

.

Dark Faust wanted to see if this suitable candidate would actually fight despite his injuries, but to his surprise, the other party was indeed as he expected... inflexible.

"To fight me with a body like that is to dig your own grave."

Let him die here then, you overconfident genius. But before defeating him, we must first seize his light and use it for our own purposes.
