"Aren't you going to resist? That's so boring."

Kiana handed the donuts to Huihuo, indicating that she had plenty more in her arms and she could eat as many as she wanted.

"It's pointless to resist; you might as well beg for mercy sooner and save your energy to eat."

Hui Huo grabbed a donut, took a bite, and looked blissfully happy, as if he were eating some kind of heavenly delicacy.

Illustration.

“My name is Kiana Kaslana, you can just call me Kiana. What’s your name?”

"Colorless Radiant Flame".

The two chatted back and forth on a bench by the street.

Kiana bought a lot of donuts, intending to share them with Jiuxiao. However, Huihuo devoured them all, and Kiana, not caring whether she could finish them or not, ate as much as she could. In the end, with her little belly sticking out, she slumped on the bench, unable to move.

"Are you a pig? Next time I'll call you Colorless Fat Fire." Kiana patted Huihuo's belly, and couldn't help but recall how Jiuxiao would curiously pat his belly every time he was stuffed.

Hui Huo tried to argue, but found he didn't have the strength to sit up. He could only tug at Qiyana's clothes to signal her for help.

"Whatever. Just pull me up, I can't get up."

"Hahaha, Colorless Fat Fire, you're killing me with laughter." Kiana laughed as she helped Huihuo to his feet. "I'm so curious, you ate over twenty donuts, didn't you even realize you couldn't eat anymore?"

"I know. But donuts are delicious, so it's worth it. We should do happy things in our short lives, and eating sweets makes me happy. But after eating so many, I have to worry about my weight."

"Haha, Huihuo, you're really funny. Let's be friends!"

"There's no point in being friends with me because I won't go looking for you or play with you. I'm physically weak and prefer to stay in the classroom or at home."

"It's okay, it's okay, I can come to you."

Chapter 25 Cocolia Orphanage

One day in August 2013, at the Cocolia Orphanage, Cocolia was testing the children.

Cocolia was a high-ranking military officer in the former Soviet Union, who distinguished herself in the war. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, she married and had children in Siberia. She had a happy family and a lovely daughter. She also established an orphanage, taking in many orphans displaced by the dissolution of the Soviet Union.

Every time Cocolia saw the children's smiles, she felt as if she were being healed. But the Second Honkai Impact destroyed all of that.

In the early stages of the Honkai outbreak, Cocolia exposed her superior Colonel Alexei's arms smuggling activities, but Alexei and the military court conspired to imprison her for a month.

"In order to achieve the most important goal, some principles must be abandoned."

This was the last thing Cocolia heard from Alexei after being imprisoned for a month. The Honkai Beasts destroyed the confinement chamber, killed Alexei, and Cocolia escaped in the chaos.

Unexpectedly, she understood the meaning of Alexei's words as soon as she came out.

Not harming innocent people and children was her bottom line, a principle she had always upheld and upheld justice. But now she held a gun to Alexandra, a pregnant woman who had just lost her husband, threatening her to be quiet and obey her orders.

The children in the orphanage still need her, and she must escape from here at all costs.

On that day, the entire Siberia was engulfed by Honkai. The moment the Herrscher launched its attack, more than 50 Honkai Beasts appeared on the Siberian plains.

Unfortunately, including Cocolia and Alexandra, whom she "kidnapped," fewer than a hundred people survived in all of Siberia.

When Cocolia arrived at the orphanage, all she saw was ruins. Her husband, her biological daughter, the children in her orphanage, everything she owned had vanished. She collapsed in tears in front of what used to be the orphanage's gate.

At that time, she didn't know about Honkai, but she knew she had come into contact with the real world. On that snowy plain, she met Welt, understood what Honkai was, and joined Anti-Entropy.

Cocolia secretly made up her mind that she must defeat the Honkai, avenge her children, and ensure that they would never be displaced again.

Later, while leading her troops to exterminate Honkai Beasts in the snowfield, Cocolia encountered a baby. She found the baby's file in the house; Seele Vollerei was the baby's name. Her parents had been completely consumed by the Honkai, but she had survived.

This made Cocolia realize that many children were still displaced and dying on this snowfield. With the help of Anti-Entropy, she rebuilt an orphanage on the snowfield, naming it Cocolia Orphanage. Cocolia adopted many children who had survived the Honkai, giving them a home and hoping they could live well.

However, it is clear that fate has begun to work its magic. The children who survived the Honkai have good Honkai energy adaptability, and they all have the talent to become Valkyries.

So Cocolia separated them from ordinary people and taught them how to fight and use Honkai energy at the Cocolia Orphanage. She would not ask the children to go to the battlefield, but she still hoped that the children could master the power to protect themselves.

But people change eventually, and Cocolia has changed far too much in her quest for revenge against the Honkai. Although she can still maintain her original self in front of the children, treating them with the gentlest demeanor, she is a ruthless, unscrupulous, and merciless witch to others outside the home.

As a radical member of Anti-Entropy who conducts human experiments, Cocolia decides to sacrifice herself for the sake of the remaining children in the orphanage who are poorly adapted to Honkai energy. She conducts the X-10 experiment to find a way to make the body fully adapt to Honkai energy, so that the children in the orphanage can become a new kind of human who can survive in Honkai.

“Use your imagination, Seele. You can control it.” Cocolia stood in front of a group of girls, directing Seele, who had grown into a lovely little girl.

Seele closed her eyes, focused her attention, and began to use Honkai energy to shape mercury into a giant scythe in the air. But when she was almost finished, Seele opened her eyes and secretly glanced at Bronya Zaychek, who was still cheering her on.

Cocolia's mother loves herself very much, but she rarely praises Bronya. Let's give this opportunity to Bronya to shine! Cocolia's mother will definitely give Bronya a good compliment.

Seele quietly withdrew some of her power, and in the end, the scythe did not take shape and shattered on the ground.

"I'm sorry, Cocolia's mother..." Seele felt a little guilty and didn't dare to look at Cocolia.

"It's alright, Seele. It's just a test, don't be upset. Next."

Cocolia's insight was sharp; she saw right through Seele's thoughts. However, she wouldn't expose her, because she didn't want Seele to participate in the experiments. After all, Seele was very gentle and timid, always clinging to her or Bronya. But these were just excuses; it was simply because she had raised Seele from infancy, and Seele was her favorite child. Every time she looked into Seele's ocean-blue eyes, Cocolia felt a sense of peace, as if she had been redeemed.

"Seele is such a useless idiot."

Next up was Ann Mar. She immediately mocked Seele from before. Ann had heterochromatic eyes, one gray in her left eye and one golden in her right, and her hair was also heterochromatic, pink on the left and purple on the right.

Anzu then closed her eyes and began to concentrate on using Honkai energy. After a while, the mercury turned into an exquisite clock.

The children around him were full of praise, and our Grandpa Xing was also a little smug at this moment.

"Heh, this is a piece of cake for me from the Mar family, you idiot See?"

Anne Mar was born into a Russian noble family and lived a fairytale-like, blissful life in a villa. But one day, robbers broke into their home and murdered her parents in front of Anne.

In despair, Anzu unleashed the Eye of Sin residing in her eyes. In Anzu's vision, people no longer had human appearances, but instead became the embodiment of the evil in their hearts. The greedy became twisted banknotes, and the gluttonous became a greedy mouth, full of repulsive ugliness, just as hideous as the demons derived from the seven deadly sins.

The sudden shift in her vision drove Anzu into madness, and in her frenzy, she killed the robber in an even more brutal manner.

When everyone found Xing, there was no sign of the robbers, only Xing holding the murder weapon and her parents lying in a pool of blood. The police found no signs of a robbery, nor did they find the killer's body. The robber Xing described seemed to have vanished without a trace. Although people found it hard to believe that such a young girl could kill her parents, rumors had already spread. Xing was shunned. Finally, two distant relatives accepted her and enthusiastically took on the responsibility of raising her. However, although everything returned to normal, the original fairy tale was gone.

Chapter 26 Anzu and Bronya

When Anzu's eyesight was unleashed, the world she saw underwent a dramatic change. The world she perceived was utterly ugly. Over time, she came to perceive this as "normal," and all evil became the norm in her eyes.

Anzu could clearly see the evil in the hearts of the relatives who adopted her, who were only after their family's wealth. But the deaths of her biological parents and the gossip of others caused Anzu to become withdrawn; she didn't know who to tell her all this.

Xing spent a long time in a daze, her vision blurred. She always lived in solitude, even forgetting about emotions. Then, a girl named Bronya entered her world, a beautiful figure she had once forgotten, a human soul without any sin.

Anzu was drawn to her pure and innocent demeanor, and a heartfelt, healthy smile appeared on her face. At that time, Bronya was still an assassin for the army, the Ural Silver Wolf. While being pursued by the police, she fled into Anzu's home. Facing the tyrannical soldiers, Bronya protected Anzu, while Anzu, corrupted by darkness, used her powers to kill all the soldiers and save Bronya.

Three years later, Anne had grown into a beautiful young woman, but she still couldn't forget Bronya. By this time, Anne's adoptive parents had squandered all their wealth. Then, her parents heard that a philanthropic warlord had come to the city and opened an orphanage. In order to establish a relationship with the warlord, her adoptive parents took Anne to the orphanage, where they met Cocolia and hoped that Cocolia would adopt Anne.

At first, Anne didn't care and continued to be cared for by her adoptive parents, just like a doll. But to her surprise, Bronya, the assassin girl she had saved, was also in the orphanage.

Anne was happy to be friends with Bronya, but Bronya thought Anne was a monster and pulled Seele away from her.

She doesn't know how she got through that day; her world had completely collapsed. When she came to her senses, her adoptive parents had brought her home and scolded her for a long time.

Because Bronya rejected her, Cocolia did not agree to adopt her. Her parents blamed Anne for not getting along well with Cocolia's daughter, while Anne's attention remained fixed on the moment Bronya called her a monster, and her mental state gradually deteriorated.

After breaking with Cocolia, Anne's adoptive parents began looking for other ways out. They started to package Anne, taking her to various balls in an attempt to sell her or get her a rich man.

She looked at the growing guilt in her adoptive parents' hearts, and thought of Bronya's terrified expression and the word "monster".

"If I'm a monster, then what are they...?"

In the end, her adoptive parents decided to sell Annie to a local nobleman, but Annie, who had always been obedient to her adoptive mother, refused to marry her parents. She killed the nobleman and her adoptive parents, and a fire destroyed everything. Her teeth turned into shark teeth in the fire, and her long hair became short. Reborn from the fire, she came to the Cocolia Orphanage.

Cocolia left behind the severely injured Anzu and adopted her after learning about her situation.

After calling Anne a monster and seeing Anne collapse in despair, Bronya felt guilty and reflected on her actions for a long time. When she saw Anne again, she sincerely apologized to her.

But Xing neither accepted nor rejected; she would no longer reveal her inner thoughts to anyone.

Due to her childhood experiences and the distorted world brought to her by the "Sin Eye," her personality became quite wicked and twisted. When Anne first entered the orphanage, although her behavior was strange, she was very eager to approach others. She seemed determined to become someone else, striving with all her might to change herself. Although she admired Bronya, who was like an angel in her eyes, she refused to express it directly. She was also jealous of Bronya, who always had someone by her side. Mischievous, arrogant, attention-seeking, and extremely competitive—that's what the people at the orphanage knew about Anne.

She likes Seele very much, but is also extremely jealous of her. Unable to socialize, she resorts to pranks and bullying Seele to try and get her attention. However, it's clear that Seele only has eyes for Bronya and couldn't possibly understand Xing's "good intentions."

"Mom, let Bronya go next." Bronya couldn't accept Xing's belittling of Seele, and she wanted to prove Xing wrong with her actions.

At Cocolia's nod, Bronya quickly transformed the mercury into a beautiful and adorable Homu doll. A delighted Seele hugged Bronya from behind.

"Bronya is the best!"

As Xing watched the two happily embracing each other, her expression gradually turned ferocious.

After everyone dispersed, Xing called Bronya from the stairwell.

"Hey, Bronya."

"Is there a problem?"

"You bastard, you don't actually like Seele, do you?" Xing glared at Bronya, her face darkening.

Bronya looked at Apricot, then said expressionlessly:

"Yes, Bronya will always be with Seele. If there's nothing else, Bronya will take her leave now."

Anzu thought to herself, "Ugh, how disgusting." Just as Bronya turned to go down the stairs, Anzu reached out and shoved her hard.

Unaware that Bronya was being pushed down the stairs by Xing behind her, Bronya, as the Ural silver wolf, should have reacted and mitigated her fall. However, she glanced at Seele waiting for her at the turn of the stairs in mid-air, paused for a moment, and lost the time to change her posture.
