Ok?

Peter was slightly startled.

Then he pulled harder and pulled again.

bang.

A clip fell to the ground, the cubicle door opened, revealing a chubby, round face inside.

“Hi, hi,” Ned looked at Peter with suspicion, forcing a stiff smile, waved, and hesitated, “Who are you?”

"Shh—" Peter quickly held up a finger.

He knew that since Ned had been hiding here all along, he must have roughly guessed his identity.

The costume he was wearing was slightly different from his body type, but it made him look about 95% like a "real Spider-Man".

But precisely because of this, he's fighting while wearing this outfit and carrying a villain.

This practically exposes his identity!

Ned stared wide-eyed, pointing a finger at him, speechless.

Peter pointed helplessly at the Taskmaster in his hand, took a step back, turned around, opened another compartment, and threw the Taskmaster inside.

“Ned, keep an eye on her for me. Tony Stark’s men will be here to take her over soon.” Now that he’d been exposed, Peter had no choice but to admit it openly.

“Mmm,” Ned said, his eyes sparkling as he looked at Peter.

Peter was a little tired, but he still had to get back on stage as soon as possible to prevent the situation from escalating further before more people discovered his identity.

He had just stepped out of the restroom when he saw Flash in the face.

Flash glanced at Peter, then at the toilet, his face darkening: "What are you doing!"

"Uh, I need to use the restroom, what's wrong?" Peter said.

"You actually took it with you, my beloved Spider-Man suit, to the toilet!!!" Flash was furious.

Peter scratched his head, somewhat embarrassed.

He would be furious if someone did that to his armor.

So he chose to forgive poor Frye.

"Huffing and puffing—" Flash took several deep breaths to suppress his anger. "Now, immediately, right now, get on stage! And what about that other actor who was added at the last minute?"

As he spoke, Flash looked behind Peter.

Peter said, "That seems to be a little Easter egg that Spider-Man brought in, but he left right after his performance and asked me to tell you."

Taskmaster did come here because of Spider-Man, so there's nothing wrong with saying that, right?

"A last-minute Easter egg? Spider-Man invited it? Are you serious? Spider-Man really noticed my stage play and even personally asked someone to be an Easter egg?" Upon hearing Spider-Man's name, the gloom on Flash's face vanished, replaced by an expression of surprise.

“Yes, that’s right,” Peter nodded repeatedly. “Spider-Man said he was busy and couldn’t come to the scene, so this is the only way he can thank you.”

"That's great!" Flashy exclaimed, pumping his fist excitedly. "I knew Spider-Man would love it! I'll write a new one, and next time I'll make sure Spider-Man comes to see it in person!"

“Well, that’s not necessary,” Peter said quietly.

"Huh? What did you say?" Flash was clearly too excited to hear what Peter said.

Peter gave a vague answer: "It's nothing."

Flash's face darkened: "Stop standing there, get on the field, everyone's waiting for you!"

“Okay,” Peter said, turning to walk toward the stage.

“And another thing,” Flash warned from behind, “you better act well. If you mess it up and embarrass me in front of Spider-Man, you’ll be sorry!”

Peter: This fan's love is so complex that it's hard to understand what it's all about.

Chapter 105 The Kiss of the Black Cat

As they walked, Flash explained some of the last-minute plot changes to Peter.

When Peter returned to the stage, the play was actually nearing its end.

Spider-Man was originally supposed to have quite a few scenes.

For example, it was originally "Black Cat" who went to steal jewelry and was tracked by "Spider-Man," leading to a verbal argument between the two.

Then, the "jeweler" realizes the situation is going wrong and tries to sow discord between "Spider-Man" and "Black Cat".

Spider-Man discovers the problem and engages in another debate with the jeweler.

Interspersed throughout were some remarks by "Black Cat".

Finally, Spider-Man and Black Cat team up to fight the Jeweler and his two henchmen.

They defeated the "jeweler," obtained the gem, and returned it to the woman—that was the end of it.

Some people might think there are too few action scenes.

But this was originally a stage play, mainly consisting of verbal battles and reciting lines.

The gestures were merely symbolic.

However, due to Taskmaster's sudden intrusion and Peter Parker's absence as "Spider-Man," Flashy had to temporarily revise the plot.

So the current plot is: Spider-Man is lured away by the jeweler's mysterious henchmen.

"Black Cat" was no match for two opponents and almost got caught.

Spider-Man arrives just in time to save the damsel in distress.

Then the two of them together defeated the "jeweler".

The rest of the story is the same.

The changes weren't many, and Peter quickly memorized them.

When he went on stage, "Black Cat" had already been captured and was engaging in a verbal battle with "Jeweler," but because the dialogue was improvised, the two men's exchanges were very dry.

Both of them visibly breathed a sigh of relief when Peter came on.

The next thing is simple.

Peter improvised and made appropriate modifications to the original script, managing to complete this awkward yet unexpected performance.

But at the end of the performance, something unexpected happened to Peter.

The original ending should have been Spider-Man and Black Cat embracing and snuggling together, but at this moment, Betty, who was being held in Peter's arms, suddenly tilted her head up and kissed him on the corner of his mouth.

The soft touch instantly traveled to Peter's brain through his powerful tactile senses, leaving him completely stunned.

A chorus of jeers erupted from the audience.

As the curtain fell, Betty asked shyly, "Peter, are you going to hold me like this forever?"

"Betty, Betty, why... This part wasn't in the script, was it?" Peter was still incredulous, but he quickly let go of Betty.

Betty straightened up but didn't back down, remaining close to Peter, looking directly into his eyes. She blinked and asked doubtfully, "You agreed in the dressing room just now! I think that's more in line with Black Cat's bold and passionate personality, isn't it? And Peter, don't you like me kissing you?"

Peter scratched his head.

How should he answer this question?

It would be a lie to say I don't like it.

Betty is a host on the school's television station. She's sweet and cute, and many boys in school admire her. When there are parties, people line up to invite her to dance.

Moreover, wearing the black cat costume accentuated her already well-developed figure, adding a touch of sexiness and sizzle to her previously sweet image.

This is not only attractive to little boys like Peter, but also to older boys.

Who wouldn't like a girl who takes the initiative to pursue them?

Just why?

Is it just because he played Spider-Man?

Peter was completely baffled.

“Let’s go,” Betty said, lightly taking Peter’s arm, a wicked touch spreading through her.

Peter froze, feeling his body stiffen, and could only let Betty lead him backstage.

-

Peter saw Flash from behind the curtain backstage.

Frye was stunned by the intimate way Betty was holding Peter's hand.

Damn it, Betty is one of his types too!

Frye's hatred for Peter intensified immediately.

This guy not only stole the Spider-Man role he'd always wanted, but he also stole the girl he liked!

Flash thought to himself, if he were the one playing Spider-Man, then he must have been the one Betty just kissed, and he must be the one holding Betty's arm right now!

Ahhhhh!

Peter looked at the way Flash looked at him, and for a moment he seemed to see Flash transform into a chibi-style character, throwing countless knives and impaling the poor chibi spider on the wall.
