Luo Chen chuckled as he watched Sirin intently munching on her barbecue. It was strange, really; his Herrscher of Reason powers seemed different from Welt's. He could construct objects simply by looking at them, without needing to analyze them—a trait somewhat similar to Bronya's Truth Form.

"Brother Luo Chen, what are you thinking about?"

Xilin wanted to lick the wooden skewers clean. Before meeting Luo Chen, she basically made a living by picking up canned food and finding wild vegetables. She didn't even dare to think about eating barbecue.

Luo Chen handed the string of pearls in his hand to Xi Lin, but Xi Lin shook her head and pushed it back.

Luo Chen sat in the tent and put his arm around Xilin's small body, gently patting her back, not caring that his clothes were soaked with tears.

Luo Chen took off the necklace around his neck, channeled his Honkai energy into it, and put it around Sirin's neck.

“Cirin, this necklace is very important to my brother. Please keep it safe for him.”

Luo Chen carefully crafted his words. He knew he couldn't tell her the truth, but a lie that was too outrageous wouldn't do either.

"Well... how should I put it? My brother might have some health issues, and sometimes he might have to leave Sirin for a while, though I don't know exactly how long. But he can use this necklace to find Sirin, so he won't have to worry about her getting lost."

Luo Chen stepped out of the tent, threw the ingredients from the imaginary space onto the snow, constructed a pot, placed it on the firewood, and began to cook.

The aroma wafted from the pot, and Xilin swallowed hard, peeking her little head out of the tent to look at Luo Chen, curious about what he was doing.

"Cilin, dinner is ready, come over quickly."

Xilin skipped over to Luo Chen's side. Luo Chen handed her the bowl in his hand and told her to add more food to the pot when she was done eating.

"You eat first, I'll go check on those mechs."

I've been busy taking care of Sirin since I got back, and I haven't had a chance to put these mechs back in yet.
