Becoming a god by raising witches

He knew Hannah would agree to his request.
This concerns a child's future.
In short, Rebecca will never grow up, and the issue of her salary can be delayed for as long as possible.
What would a demon do with money? A demon certainly doesn't lack money!
As Locke was thinking this, he saw Rebecca on the stairs, looking displeased.
"What do you want me to do? You don't want me to go grocery shopping, do you?"
"No, I can do grocery shopping myself. I just wanted to ask if you have any clean clothes. If not, you can wear Hannah's old clothes. She's always very sentimental and keeps all her old things."
Locke said with a smile, "It's like a superior who cares a lot about his subordinates."
Rebecca rolled her eyes again. "No!"
Rub rub rub.
The sound of Rebecca running downstairs led her into the servants' quarters on the first floor, where she began to curse the heartless Locke incessantly.
In the afternoon, the water company came to reinstall the water dispenser and congratulated Locke on moving.
The young salesman never imagined that in less than a month, the siblings living in Old Tom's apartment building would achieve a leap in social class.
He even secretly guessed that the beautiful older sister must have become the mistress of a rich man, or the handsome younger brother must have become the lover of a rich woman; of course, it was also possible that it was both.
He envied Hannah and Locke for their beautiful faces, and thought that if he were as good-looking, he wouldn't need to go through the trouble of providing door-to-door services now.
This time, Locke still didn't give him a tip, because Locke didn't want to hear him recommending acquaintances for the job.
After seeing off the water company people, Locke was finally able to lie down and rest for a while.
Before that, you must take a shower in the bathroom.
He walked into the bathroom and saw the long-lost large bathtub, feeling as if he had been transported to another world.
The last time I saw a bathtub was in my past life.
Locke decided to splurge today and take a hot bath.
He turned on the tap, letting the warm water fill two-thirds of the bathtub, took off his clothes, and was about to soak in when he suddenly noticed an elegant black cat appearing in front of him.
"Xiao Ai?"
Locke nervously covered his private parts.
"This is mine, go to the second floor."
With a pounce, the domineering Eileen jumped into the bathtub and began swimming in it, her expression both serious and content.
Locke broke out in a sweat.
How did it become yours?
Okay, so you've made the master bedroom on the third floor your territory?
"It's too cold. Let me go in and take a shower first. Anyway, you're just a cat and you don't take up much space."
As soon as Locke finished speaking, Eileen transformed into a giant cat whose size matched the bathtub, and asked calmly,
"Human, what are you saying?"
Locke's lips twitched slightly. Helplessly, he put on his clothes and went upstairs grumbling. Fortunately, Hannah had already finished showering, otherwise he would have had to go downstairs.
After a relaxing hot bath, Locke invited Hannah to go out with him, mainly to help her buy clothes and some seafood ingredients for dinner.
There's a downside to buying seafood in the afternoon: you might not get enough fresh and plump seafood, but you can get seafood at a very reasonable price because it's all leftovers from other people. But Locke and Hannah don't mind. They're not financially independent yet, so saving a little is the only way to make a living in the long run. Besides, these ingredients are for Rebecca's experiments, and Locke is worried she'll waste them.
The two walked down the street and became familiar with its layout; there was only one newsstand at the corner of the street for 90% of the residential buildings.
Hannah approached the newsstand and saw a middle-aged man with a large belly; he was the owner of the newsstand.
"Hello, how much does a copy of the Tumen Times cost?"
"The kingdom has a fixed price: 2 mcg per serving."
The middle-aged man with a large belly said with a smile.
Hannah frowned. In Pete Street, it should only cost 1 mcg per serving.
"Beautiful lady, are you a newcomer? Our newspaper is available for subscription, and the postman will deliver it directly to your door every morning, saving you the trouble of making the trip. That would have cost an extra 1 meter. But since you're such a beautiful lady and this is your first time subscribing to my newspaper, I can give you a 0.5 meter discount."
"That's what the pot-bellied boss said."
“If you are willing to give us the price of 1 meter, we will order 1 copy of the Tumen Times for 1 year.”
Locke raised a finger.
Hannah looked at Locke in surprise. 365 days a year, that would cost 365 Micks. Hannah wasn't even sure she could stay there that long. She thought her brother had acted impulsively.
"Locke."
"It's okay, we'll stay here permanently."
Locke noticed Hannah's hesitation, and he placed his hands on her shoulders.
"You know, I'm the cook at the Sixth Sheriff's Court, my job is very stable."
"How about we order a six-month lease first? Maybe we'll find a cheaper place."
Hannah said in a low voice.
"There's no cheaper place than here, and we can't take advantage of the landlord and leave as soon as the free period is over, right?"
Locke countered with a question.
"Oh, that's not what I meant."
Hannah wanted to explain, but the newsstand owner had already planned their conversation.
"So you were a chef working at the Sheriff's Court. Well, for the sake of the Sheriff's Court, I'll give you a discount of 1 mcg, but you have to order for the whole year."
"Okay, it's decided then. Do I need to pay a deposit?"
"Of course, a 50% deposit is required; we're a small business."
The newsstand owner held up five short, stubby fingers and raised an eyebrow at Locke.
Locke paid 182 Micks to the shopkeeper, who noted down Locke's house number. "Dear customer, you will see the latest Tumen Times tomorrow morning. Believe me, our newsboys get up at 5 a.m. and deliver it to your door while you are still in the middle of a sweet dream."
"Thank you."
"I should be thanking you."
Locke and Hannah said goodbye to the newsstand owner and walked into another street, finally away from the residential area, where they saw a few scattered shops.
"Perhaps we should walk a little further to the Wells area, where there are many shops."
"Most of the Wells area is upscale, so it won't make a difference if we look around the shops here."
Locke nodded, agreeing with Hannah's opinion.
But the fact is, despite the fewer shops here, prices are still significantly higher than in the West End.
Locke eventually took Hannah to Sophie's clothing store in Wells and asked her to help him pick out some decent women's dresses.
"Locke, you didn't tell me your sister was so beautiful."
Sophie, who has many freckles on her face and a lively and cheerful personality, said.
"Miss Sophie, please don't praise her like that, she'll get arrogant."
Locke said with a smile.
Hannah glared at Locke, then smiled again.
"Thank you, Miss Sophie, but I still feel that this dress doesn't suit me very well."
Hannah hesitated to buy the clothes after seeing the price tag.
"Goddess, this lake-blue dress is simply tailor-made for you. If it doesn't suit you, then no one else will. If you don't like it, I'll have to return it and never let it appear in the store again, because no one but you can pull it off."
Sophie used her years of sales expertise to persuade Hannah to buy, making her feel like she would be letting the designer down if she didn't.
"Buy it, Sophie won't take advantage of us."
Locke glanced at the price: 1500 Micks. For the East District, that wasn't really expensive.
"If you choose three more items, I can give you a 20% discount."
Sophie raised an eyebrow and said.
Hannah shook her head. "We don't need that many."
No, we need it.
Locke then picked out three more items for Hannah: two coats, a skirt, and had Sophie give Hannah an elegant ladies' hat, a parasol, and a pair of small leather shoes.
At a 8% discount, the total cost was 4000 mcg.
Hannah felt like her heart was bleeding as she watched the brightly colored Mick leave her and slip into Sophie's fanny pack.
Sophie smiled and said, "Welcome to visit again next time."
Hannah and Locke left the clothing store and walked down the Wells Street.
Would you like a cup of coffee?
