Becoming a god by raising witches

Locke wholeheartedly agreed, as did Eileen and Renis.
Unexpectedly, Krista's desire to find the Witch's Book was actually to revive the Witch of Deception within her.
"This task is temporarily classified as Category A. I need you to put aside your other cases for now and work together to find Christa."
Renis looked at Angela and Dimo.
"You two are in charge of searching the entire city for the white carriage. If there are any other distinguishing features, ask Locke. Locke, work with the two of them in the search."
"Okay, Director."
Angela and Dimo nodded; they were almost finished with their task anyway.
"Why not just have Boyd use the object-finding magic?"
Sieg asked Locke the question.
"The witch will use interference; she will also lock onto you when you use magic to find her."
Renis answered their questions.
"Boyd, without a medium, can you find the Witch's Book?"
Renis looked at Boyd, who had a long face.
Boyd shook his head. "No, unless one of you here has come into contact with the Witch's Book."
Locke felt inexplicably guilty listening to Boyd's words.
He didn't want to cooperate with them to find the Witch's Book, because that would mean Eileen would be exposed.
"Locke, why did you bring a cat to the meeting?"
Renis looked at the black cat in Locke's arms and said.
“I’m sorry, my sister Hannah recently found a job and can’t take care of my cat, so I had to bring it with me.”
Locke explained, "If it affects the meeting, I'll take it away now."
Sieg gave Locke a thumbs up; he remembered reminding Locke not to bring the cat in front of the chief.
Angela and the others often saw Locke bringing his cat to work, and they were used to it. There was no rule explicitly stating that investigators could not bring their cats to work.
Angela had absolutely no objection to Locke keeping pets, because she herself had countless little pets perched on her head.
"Don't easily trust a cat."
As Rhaenys spoke, she snapped her fingers, and a pure white owl flew out from the inner room and landed on Rhaenys's shoulder.
The owl stared at the black cat, drooling.
"Oh, Renis, is this the little cutie you gave me as a reward?"
"Tucker, check if there's anything wrong with this cat."
Rhaenys spoke to the owl, then explained to Locke,
“Tucker can detect whether things have changed shape. If this cat is a witch in disguise, he can tell immediately.”
Locke opened his mouth, unsure of what to say.
He did seem a little guilty.
Tucker, the snow-white owl, sniffed at Eileen, who pretended to be scared.
The owl nodded in satisfaction.
"It's just an ordinary black cat, can I eat it?"
"No, Tucker, let's go back."
As Rhine waved her hand, the owl flapped its wings in displeasure and flew back.
Locke breathed a sigh of relief.
After confirming that the black cat Locke brought was fine, Renis continued the previous topic.
"Boyd, your main task is to protect your partner Locke. He feels he's being watched. Oh, and remember to keep an eye on Locke's family as well. Don't let Locke's family get hurt. If necessary, allow your family to take refuge in the church."
“But my sister is not a follower of the Life Church.”
Locke said.
"Then let her believe in the goddess."
Renis's words were beyond question.
Sieg shrugged. "If it's a beautiful lady, I'd be willing to be her knight."
“Alright, then the safety of the Locke family is in Sieg’s hands. If anything happens, Locke, you can seek revenge on Sieg.”
"Renes said calmly."
Sieg swallowed hard, feeling like he'd just landed a hot potato.
Locke turned to look at Sieg. "Then I'll leave it to you. I assure you, my sister is beautiful, but she would never fall for a playboy like you. You can maintain a pure friendship."
"Locke, you're questioning my charm."
"No, I just know Hannah very well."
"So my sister's name is Hannah."
"Chief, what do I need to do?"
The blond-haired boy, Robson, also wanted to participate in the operation.
Renis thought for two seconds, "Continue investigating the Red Shoes case and give me results as soon as possible."
"Ok."
Robson was somewhat disappointed, but he chose to follow the arrangements.
After the meeting, Locke was kept behind by Renis.
"Don't go into the kitchen during this time; try to stay outside as much as possible."
"Okay, Director."
Locke knew that Renis was using him as bait, hoping to lure Krista out.
But Krista didn't make a move against me the previous two times, which means she must have some concerns. Will she really take the bait?
Locke left Rainis's office and took the permit to Mrs. Freya's office to collect the guns.
Mrs. Freya handed him a revolver with 10 strange bullets and 100 ordinary bullets.
"These 10 strange bullets can pierce through the bodies of strange beings. You should know what strange beings are, right? Witches, werewolves, vampires, demons, and monsters all belong to the category of strange beings. I hope you don't encounter any."
Mrs. Freya said with a smile.
"Thank you, Mrs. Freya."
"For specific uses, you should ask your partner Boyd. He made all these bullets; he's an expert in this field."
"Thank you."
Locke thanked him again.
"Rebecca, what are you doing here?"
"Didn't you realize that I'm just a small clone? My main body is with Hannah. Don't worry, I haven't disobeyed your arrangements."
Rebecca said.
"I believe you came here not just to gossip with Mrs. Freya, but because you have something specific you want to tell me, right?"
Locke's expression suddenly turned serious.
Rebecca also dropped her nonchalant expression and said,
“Alright, Locke, I saw that red-haired woman. She seemed to want to get close to Hannah and learn about the Witch's Book from her. Fortunately, Hannah didn't have any trace of the Witch's Book on her, and I didn't notice her continuing to follow Hannah.”
Rebecca reported.
Mrs. Freya was slightly taken aback.
She hadn't expected Rebecca to be so respectful to anyone other than Renis.
"Okay, thank you for your hard work."
Locke said goodbye to Mrs. Freya and left the office with Rebecca.
“Return to your original form. I don’t want Hannah to encounter any danger, and you are not strong enough right now.”
"What an ungrateful bastard."
Rebecca snorted coldly and vanished in a wisp of white smoke.
Locke went to the investigator's office on the second floor and redescribed the carriage's appearance from memory to make it easier for Angela to find it.
Based on Locke's description, Angela drew a picture of the carriage.
"Is that right?"
"Yes, close to 90% similarity."
Locke gave Angela a thumbs up, acknowledging her artistic talent.
