"Wash these clean."

Locke pointed to the tomatoes, onions, and garlic in the basket.

"Don't you have any hands of your own?"

Rebecca glanced at Locke.

"Rebecca, are you sure you want to talk to your master like that?"

Locke looked at Rebecca with a meaningful gaze, like Tang Sanzang about to recite the mantra.

Rebecca shrank back, walked over, and angrily picked up the tomatoes, onions, and garlic to wash.

"After washing them, dice the tomatoes, mince the onions, and mince the garlic."

Locke took out "Fundamentals of Mysticism" and started reading while directing Rebecca to cook.

"Hey, hey, hey, I told you to cut it into cubes, look at what you've done! These pieces are so big, completely irregular, and not pretty at all. You need to make sure each piece is only this big, that's what you call a cube."

“Chop the onion into small pieces, not into cubes. Don’t you understand measure words, Miss Rebecca?”

Locke shook his head, supervised Rebecca as she chopped the side dishes, and then spoke.

"Cut the pork into minced meat, add an appropriate amount of black pepper powder and cooking wine, and marinate for ten minutes."

Rebecca picked up the cleaver and began to chop the meat.

"The pork needs to be washed first, Miss Rebecca. Do you want to quit?"

Rebecca's eyes widened, and she wished she could swing the cleaver at Locke's head.

Sieg stood at the door, dumbfounded, and silently gave a thumbs up.

He never expected that Locke would let a demon be the cook in his house and order him around. He felt that his colleague would soon suffer the consequences of fate.

Locke didn't let Rebecca do the next detailed steps, not because he felt sorry for Rebecca being a great demon, but simply because the food for feeding the witch had to be made by himself.

After Locke finished cooking the pasta, he served it on the table.

Sieg was surprised again. Looking at the five plates of noodles that looked and smelled delicious, he exclaimed...

"Locke, you're so thoughtful. You know one plate of noodles isn't enough to fill me up."

“No, you only have one plate. This is Ai’s, this is Hannah’s, this is Rebecca’s, and this is mine.”

Locke divided the pasta into portions and picked up his knife and fork.

Xiao Ai also sat on her throne and elegantly began to eat noodles with her paws.

Sieg was stunned.

Why doesn't your cat eat dried fish and instead eats the same things as you?

"This is a sign of respect for cats."

Locke said nonchalantly.

Rebecca snorted and, before Hannah could come down, whispered, "How could I, a mighty demon, possibly eat something like this?"

"Give it to me if you don't want it."

Locke reached out to take the pasta from Rebecca, but Rebecca stopped him.

"what are you doing?"

"Didn't you say you weren't going to eat?"

"Who says I don't eat it? I chopped all the tomatoes, onions, and meat myself."

Rebecca picked up her fork and stabbed the spaghetti hard, as if she were eating each piece of spaghetti with the same hatred she felt for Locke.

"Shall we wait for that lady?"

Sieg asked.

Locke knew that Sieg was referring to Hannah.

"No need, I'll take it up to her. She's probably not in a good mood today, so she won't come down."

Locke picked up a plate of spaghetti and went up the spiral staircase to the second floor.

Hannah was sitting in the study looking up information.

"Hannah, dinner is ready."

"Just leave it here, I'll eat it later."

"Didn't you resign? Why are you still flipping through grammar books?"

Locke placed the spaghetti on the desk in the study.

"Although Mr. Smith's behavior was disgusting, my resignation still hit Bonnie hard. Mr. Smith was wrong, but Bonnie did nothing wrong. She's still a child. I wanted to compile some materials for her, hoping it would help with her exams. Oh, poor Bonnie, how could she have such a wicked father?"

Hannah shook her head and sighed.

"Perhaps there are no perfect parents in this world."

Locke said.

Hannah paused, then suddenly looked up at Locke intently.

"Locke, don't blame your parents, they used to love us very much."

"What about the debts incurred?"

“I can’t explain this, but I believe they must have their reasons.”

Hannah insisted.

Locke nodded, agreeing to grant her wish.

"Okay, Hannah, eat dinner before you get busy. I reckon you'll be working all night."

"That's true. Bonnie is a good child in every way except for being too stupid."

Hannah said with a smile.

Only after watching her start eating her noodles did Locke leave the study with peace of mind.

After Locke went downstairs,

Hannah rubbed her reddened eyes and said softly,

"Mom and Dad, if only you were alive. Look how outstanding Locke has become. Even the princess praises him."

Locke returned to the restaurant and found that a third of his noodles were gone.

He knew it couldn't have been Sieg.

"Xiao Ai, you should lose weight."

Locke sighed.

Eileen licked her paws, raised her tail, and walked past him haughtily.

Sieg rested his chin on his hand, looking at Locke.

"I really envy you; your family atmosphere is so wonderful."

You must be laughing at me.

Locke poured Sieg a glass of fruit wine.

Sieg raised his glass, clinked it with Locke's, and laughed, "I'm serious, I haven't been home for five days of life. Of course, there's no point in going back anyway."

"If you want to talk about it, find someone else."

Locke said with a smile.

"Uh, I thought you would be willing to be a listener, my partner. You're so direct. You're hurting my feelings."

Sieg exaggeratedly clutched his chest.

Locke picked up "Basic Mysticism" and "Dictionary of Dragon Language" from the table. "I need to study after I finish eating. Sorry, I really don't have time to listen."

Well, I have absolutely no interest in your family affairs.

"Rebecca, would you like to listen? Anyway, you're free."

Sieg looked at the great demon Rebecca beside him.

Rebecca rolled her eyes at him. "I know everything about your family affairs. I don't need you to repeat it. There's nothing new here."

"Forehead……"

Then Sieg remembered that the two most gossipy people in the department were Mrs. Freya and Rebecca.

How could she not know why she wasn't going home?

After dinner, Sieg watched Locke study, and he started yawning out of boredom.

Rebecca was ordered to start cleaning the house and doing chores like a maid.

"Locke, I also want to have a demon that can do housework. Tell me quickly, how did you do it?"

Sieg lay on the sofa, asking listlessly.

“It’s not difficult to sign a blood pact with a servant.”
