Becoming a god by raising witches

"What did you say?"
A noblewoman removed her mask and looked at Locke in horror.
"Did we just drink deadly poison?"
"Oh, darling, I feel so dizzy."
The noblewoman collapsed into her male companion's arms, who also felt somewhat dizzy.
"Oh God, I'm going to die. I should never have come to this damned ball. It's all Count Hagen's fault."
"Yes, this isn't the first time your daughter has been kidnapped and rescued. Why do you always have to hold these pointless parties and expect us to participate? It's just to prove that your daughter is alright. Who knows what the truth is?"
"Perhaps Miss Andy has already been defiled by villains. Isn't all this just to make her marry the Duke's second son?"
Several well-dressed noblemen and gentlemen spoke.
Count Hagen was furious, his beard bristling and eyes wide with rage, his cheeks flushed red. "You! How dare you slander my daughter like this?! I'll hire a lawyer to sue you for defamation!"
Miss Andy burst into tears. She had no recollection of what had happened. Even after the doctor examined her and told her father that she was indeed unharmed, she remained deeply troubled, fearing that something terrible had truly occurred.
"Andy, it's okay, don't pay attention to them."
Lucy comforted her friend Andy.
"Lucy, are we going to die?"
Judith's expression was also not good; she gripped Lucy's hand tightly.
Looking at Locke's expression, Lucy sensed something was wrong. If everyone present, including the Earl, had been poisoned, the investigators wouldn't be so calm. She patted Judith on the shoulder but said nothing.
Rhinese, Sieg, Father Buster, and Sister Lux did not stop Locke's prank.
Seeing the terrified expressions on the faces of these arrogant people, and seeing them start fighting amongst themselves, Locke felt a little better.
"Please stop blaming the Earl. Although the poison is deadly, fortunately Sister Lux from the church has brought holy water that can save everyone. Please line up to get some."
"I knew it! This is the Queen's Quarter, how could anything happen to us?"
Count Hagen forced a smile and was the first to step forward, pulling his beloved daughter, Andy Hagen, along with her.
"As the highest-ranking person here, I have the right to enjoy it first, and, well, my daughter too."
Everyone else was furious at the count's behavior but dared not speak out.
At the same time, he harbored resentment towards Locke.
They never expected that this lowly sheriff had just tricked them.
There was clearly hope, yet it was as if everyone was doomed to die.
This caused many nobles to embarrass themselves, and even offended Count Hagen and his daughter.
Locke did not stop them; how to handle the situation next was a matter for the church.
Lux distributed holy water to everyone, and after they drank it, they began to vomit uncontrollably.
If you look closely, you can see purple insect eggs in their vomit, which are the last resort left by the Thousand-Faced Spider.
Lux collected all the worm eggs from the vomit.
Sieg helped from the sidelines, but he only offered moral support.
"Lux, I really admire you. You're not afraid of getting dirty at all."
“Mr. Sieg, I’ve seen dirtier things.”
Lux continued to patiently clean up the vomit. Although she was wearing gloves, it would be torture for any woman, but there was no displeasure on her face.
Sieg shook his head and sighed, "What a perfect woman. You can't even see a single flaw in Lux. She's beautiful, kind, generous, patient, and can treat beggars like a saint. Isn't she an ideal partner?"
"I always felt that there was something unreal about her."
Locke offered his own assessment.
"Lux is a special nun; her soul is pure white, and you cannot see any flaws in her."
"Renes said behind Locke and Sieg."
Locke and Sieg immediately turned around and looked respectfully at the black-haired chief.
"Chief, is there anything else you need?"
Sieg asked.
"You've worked hard on this mission. Go back and write a report. You're all granted a day off each."
"Renes said calmly."
"Thank you, Director."
Locke and Sieg spoke in unison.
Renis patted Locke on the shoulder and whispered,
"Also, don't make fun of these nobles next time; some of them can be quite petty."
"Thank you for the reminder, Director."
Locke swallowed hard.
“My lord, please forgive us for taking Lady Suman away. She may be involved in this sudden attack by the Fallen Angels.”
"Renes said to Earl Hagen."
Count Hagen looked at his mistress, Madame Suemann, in surprise.
Mrs. Suman shook her head. "I didn't. You're making baseless accusations."
"Could it be that Mrs. Suman is the inside man?"
"Only Lady Suman could manage to poison someone in the Earl's mansion, right?"
People began to gossip, which forced Count Hagen to reluctantly let Madame Suman be taken away by Rénez and others.
Locke then went to the dungeon and brought out Lady Malvina as well.
Her expression clearly showed some bewilderment, as if she were the real Mrs. Malvina and had no idea what was happening outside.
"Buster, Lux, I'm leaving things here to you."
Renée led the two investigators away from the Earl of Hagen’s mansion and boarded a medium-sized carriage drawn by two chestnut horses.
Lucy, Andy, Judith, and several noble ladies chased after them from the Earl's mansion, their gorgeous gowns creating a beautiful sight.
Locke heard their whispers.
"Lucy, is that your partner, Rock Bemon?"
"He's really handsome."
“He’s also my partner, even though I only have a small stake, right, Lucy?”
"Yes, Judith is also a partner."
"None of you like him, right? If not, I'll have to make my move."
"Koss, do you want to compete with Andy? That's Andy's savior."
"Andy hasn't said she likes him. Andy, tell me, do you like him? If you do, we'll give up."
"Lucy, what are you spacing out for? Why aren't you saying anything?"
"I'm wondering why they took Malvina away."...
The girl's secrets were blown away by the wind.
The coachman took Locke and the others to the Sixth Sheriff's Court.
Renis gave instructions to her subordinates.
"Lock them both up first, separate them, and then go to my office."
"Received, Director."
This was Locke's first time visiting the Bureau of Investigation's dungeon.
The walls were built of brick and stone, the moisture making the stones sticky and the air filled with a musty smell.
This was somewhat unbearable for Locke, whose sense of smell was extremely keen; he could only approach the fragrant Mrs. Suman.
Mrs. Suman's lips curled into a slight smile as she breathed a breath into Locke's ear.
"Locke, would you like to know more about your father?"
"Not interested in."
Locke said calmly.
"what about me?"
Mrs. Suman gently placed her hand on Locke's hand.
Smooth skin was rubbing against his fingers.
In the dim light of the dungeon, Mrs. Suman's body was about to press against Locke's.
Suddenly, an invisible force pushed Madam Suman away, causing her to fall heavily to the ground.
