This place resembles an abandoned cemetery, with neither gravekeepers nor iron fences for protection.

There were no offerings in front of the tombstone, making it look desolate and deserted.

"Wait, you're not going to make them work for me, are you?"

Locke swallowed hard, pointing incredulously at one of the tombstones.

Eileen nodded slightly. "Yes, they are free indefinitely. If their skeletons become worn out, we can replace them with a new batch."

Locke conjured up an image in his mind of zombies tending to garden plants and growing vegetables, skeletons cooking for him, and skeleton maids changing his clothes. He couldn't help but shudder.

"No, Hannah will be terrified of them, I refuse."

"You should let Hannah know that she spends all her time with a demon, and sooner or later she will encounter strange things. It's time for her to get to know the real you. If she can't accept it, she won't be able to continue living with you in the future."

Eileen said directly.

"Can you stand the smell of them rotting?"

Locke narrowed his eyes, thinking that this was definitely a way to defeat Eileen.

"I don't want rotting corpses, I only want skeleton soldiers. They won't smell of decay, they don't even have internal organs, and I'll make them bathe every day to keep them clean and hygienic."

Eileen said with a smile.

Wait, isn't this something only a necromancer could do?

Could it be that Eileen really knows a little bit of everything? This is completely different from what Boyd said.

Is it because Irene is a special witch? Did she devour other witches and thus gain their power?

Locke guessed so.

Eileen was already chanting strange incantations, and one after another, skeletal hands reached out from the snow.

Looking at this eerie and terrifying scene, Locke's hair stood on end again; he had the natural fear of the dead that any normal person would have.

"Come on, let's start the interviews today and see if there are any suitable candidates in this cemetery. If none of them are suitable, we'll have to go to the next cemetery."

Eileen said with a serious expression.

"Hey, hey, hey, don't treat a cemetery like a job fair, they all look terrifying."

Locke couldn't help but complain.

Eileen wagged her tail. "What's so scary? Don't make a fuss. You'll see even scarier things in the future. Get used to it first."

"No."

Locke and Eileen both covered their noses, because Eileen had awakened a fresh, decaying corpse.

"Go back, go back, you don't meet the requirements."

Eileen spoke to the rotting corpse.

The rotting corpse looked at Eileen with pitiful eyes, and finally burrowed into the ground, burying itself.

Locke and Eileen both felt the air become fresh again and breathed a sigh of relief.

Then, rows of skeletons lined up to begin a bizarre interview.

Eileen, as the interviewer, stood arrogantly at the front.

Locke stood beside Eileen, struggling with his fear.

He only relaxed after realizing that the skeletons wouldn't attack him on their own.

The first skeleton to be interviewed was tall, with yellowish bones, and looked like it had been dead for some years.

"Oh, you used to be a homeless person, you can't do anything, so what am I supposed to do with you? And you're so tall, it's a waste of your bones."

Eileen waved her paw, and the first interviewee was shoved into a grave, dejected, and crawled inside.

The second skeleton interviewed was short in stature and had blackened bones, suggesting it died from poisoning.

"Oh, so she was poisoned because she was having an affair. All she could do was seduce her master? You had five years of experience as a prostitute. That's enough. You're hired."

Eileen waved her claws, and the short, black skeleton happily stood next to Locke, even rubbing against him with its dark bone skeleton.

Locke immediately distanced himself from her and moved closer to Eileen, asking, "Why did you hire her?"

“She is honest enough and willing to learn, and I believe you shouldn’t be seduced.”

Eileen said, "She can be your personal maid from now on. She said she's very good at serving people."

"No, I don't need a personal maid, especially not a skeleton."

Locke immediately rejected Eileen's suggestion.

Eileen said, "She also had a special skill: she could tell if food was poisonous or not. This was only discovered after she died."

Locke reluctantly agreed to keep Black Skull, but absolutely refused to let her be his personal maid.

The third skeleton interviewed was of medium build, but it was missing a rib, clearly broken during a fight.

"Oh, you used to be a soldier, that's good. Missing a bone? No problem."

As Eileen spoke, she took a bone from the interviewer behind her and embedded it into the soldier's skeleton. The soldier's skeleton respectfully bowed to Eileen.

The interviewee behind him nervously hugged himself, afraid that another bone would be removed from his body.

"You can stay and work as a guard. What's your name?"

"Eileen asked."

The skeleton soldier opened its mouth and uttered a silent word.

The black cat's face showed a human-like expression. "Locke, isn't it a coincidence that his name is the same as yours, Locke?"

"I don't believe it. If his name really were the same as mine, you wouldn't have this expression."

Locke knew that Eileen liked to play pranks, especially when he couldn't understand the skeletons' language.

"Okay, you know me pretty well."

Eileen recruited another skeleton soldier and had him find his dead comrades to form a guard squad.

This way, she wouldn't need to conduct interviews one by one, and she would directly have a guard force for the manor.

As expected, the skeleton soldiers brought back 30 of their fallen comrades. These were all dead soldiers who could use swords and had basic combat skills. Their only advantage over the original guards at Reindeer Manor was that they were not afraid of pain, but their actual combat strength was inferior to theirs.

Because skeletons are fragile and relatively slow to move.

After their squad assembled, they practiced together to demonstrate their abilities, but several skeletons fell apart on the spot.

Locke looked at Eileen suspiciously.

Are you sure they can defend the manor?

"Don't underestimate them just because they don't seem to have any fighting ability. Ordinary people would be scared away by them. They are not afraid of pain or death, and most importantly, they don't ask for wages or food and drink."

Eileen said with a smile, "Besides, Rebecca can teach them how to fight."

"Rebecca? How did that demon teach them to fight?"

Locke asked.

"She only needs to use smoke to enchant these skeletons, and their strength will increase, making it easy for them to defeat one or two humans."

Eileen was quite confident about this.

Locke wiped the sweat from his brow and continued watching Eileen's interview.

"Can you find a way to make me understand their language?"

Locke asked.

"Language? They don't even have vocal cords, so where would they get a language?"

Eileen looked at Locke with a puzzled expression.

"Then what you just said? Weren't they the ones who told you that?"

Locke looked at Eileen in surprise.

"No, although these skeletons can't speak, I can hear their thoughts. It's a power of a necromancer. I only have a superficial understanding of it and can't teach you."

Eileen said directly, "But some strange things can do it, allowing you to hear their thoughts. Well, certain spells or rituals can also do it. You can ask Boyd; after all, he's a wizard, so he should know something."

"Ok."

Locke decided to ask Boyd the next day before going to work, otherwise he would be completely unable to communicate with the skeleton employees.

The next skeleton to be interviewed immediately wiggled his hips and began to perform a talent.

Locke never expected that these skeletons would be so playful.

He only jumped twice before his old arms and legs fell apart. He then reassembled himself and looked at Eileen shyly.

Eileen stared at the skull's empty eye sockets, hesitated for three seconds,

"Do you know how to sew? Wash clothes and sweep the floor. If that's acceptable, you can be a general store maid. Oh, you're a man? That's okay. Wear a maid outfit, and no one will be able to tell your gender."

Locke wiped the sweat from his forehead.

I suddenly realized that Eileen is actually a very quirky person, not at all like the aloof person she usually seems.

Only she could come up with something like having a male skeleton impersonate a maid.
