Becoming a god by raising witches

Rebecca also turned into a wisp of white smoke and slipped into the devil's pipe.
The next day, Locke woke up, made breakfast, fed it to Eileen, and then took Eileen to work at the Bureau of Investigation.
This time he did not choose to walk, but instead took a horse-drawn carriage.
When getting off the carriage, Locke deliberately dropped the mirror onto the carriage.
After paying the coachman 5 mcg for the fare, Locke carried the black cat into the Sixth Sheriff's Court.
"I'm so envious. They have to take a car for such a short distance. The sheriffs must be paid very well."
The coachman sighed, turned around, and continued driving, looking for new customers.
A well-dressed young woman waved to the carriage, and the coachman stopped. "Beautiful lady, would you like a ride?"
"Yes."
The young woman got into the car and told him her destination.
The carriage carried the young woman away from the neighborhood where the Sixth Sheriff's Court was located.
The woman suddenly noticed a small mirror in the car. She picked it up, looked at herself, and was quite satisfied with her appearance.
She was a confident woman who, though not born into nobility, had become Viscount Clarinda Reddy's mistress through her own efforts and had a respectable job at the Rose Theatre.
She loved mirrors that reflected her beauty, so she took possession of this exquisite mirror left behind by a previous customer.
Fortunately, she didn't have a mirror that she could carry around with her.
The young woman arrived at the Rose Theatre, got out of the car, and entered the theatre through the back door.
She is a young actress who doesn't live in the theater but rents an apartment near the magistrate's court, where the safety makes her feel at ease.
Because of her status as a viscount, she had her own private dressing room at the theater, even though it was a small one.
The lounge has a sofa that acts as a small bed, dividing it into two sections: a dressing table in the front and a coat rack in the back.
She went into the dressing room, placed the mirror on the vanity, and lay down on the sofa covered with blankets to rest, planning to go to rehearsal later.
When she opened her eyes, she suddenly saw a handsome young man in her lounge.
"Who are you?"
The boy's lips curled up slightly as he covered her mouth, gesturing for her to be quiet.
Her pupils contracted slightly as the boy flipped over her, passed through her coat rack, turned back with a smile, held up a sexy red halter-neck stage outfit, and said...
"Nice clothes, I look forward to seeing you wear them next time we meet."
The girl was stunned for a moment, staring blankly as the boy left.
She clutched her chest, suddenly feeling a flutter in her heart.
"Who is he?"
Chapter 160, On the Eve of Life
Locke Ying left the Rose Theater with a slight smile on his lips.
A wallet had appeared in my hand without my noticing.
The owner of this wallet was a confident young woman, the mistress of a viscount, and a young actress at the Rose Theatre.
As Locke Shadow rolled over her, considering that his original body hadn't given him a single penny, he took the opportunity to steal the woman's purse.
He thoughtfully took out all the money, left his documents in his wallet, and as he passed by the security guards, he slipped the wallet into one of the guards' coat pockets.
As for whether the security guard would be falsely accused of being a thief and lose his job, that was not something he needed to consider.
Locke simply disliked the guard's monkey-like appearance.
He quickly weaved through the crowd, entered a clothing store, picked out a brown top hat and a gray trench coat, then went to an eyeglasses store to choose a pair of gold-rimmed glasses, and got a new hairstyle at a barbershop in order to distinguish himself from Locke's original self.
Since I'm going to be around Martin, I can't let him feel familiar with me.
After doing all this, Locke Ying leisurely made his way to the vicinity of the Bureau of Paranormal Investigations.
He only needs to track the main body to find other trackers.
For example, Martin.
Sure enough, Locke spotted Uncle Martin in the crowd.
Uncle Martin moved from the West End to the East End. He no longer wore cheap t-shirts or carried glass repair bags and tools on his shoulders. Instead, he changed his attire, wearing casual clothes and a beret. He looked like a down-on-his-luck businessman, but at least he didn't seem out of place in the East End and didn't attract much attention.
Unfortunately, Locke still managed to discover it.
His deliberate change precisely proves the correctness of Locke's earlier judgment: Uncle Martin was indeed a watchman sent by the Church of Knowledge.
Locke Shadow begins to follow Uncle Martin, and surprisingly, the boy Kay who is always with Uncle Martin is still there.
Martin sat with Kay in a coffee shop across from the Sixth Sheriff's Court. Kay looked at her father in surprise.
"Dad, how did we get the money to move here?"
"The compensation from the water company is enough for us to make a living in the East District. I have decided to start a business here."
What kind of business do we do?
"It's a coffee stand, so you should learn how to brew a decent cup of coffee at this shop."
"I understand, I will try my best, Dad."
Kai nodded excitedly, filled with longing for the future.
Martin smiled and patted his head, looking like a normal father and son who had just achieved a comfortable standard of living, not at all like someone spying on others.
However, through Locke's perspective, one can see Martin's location, which is exactly where Locke and the investigators' offices are located.
At that moment, Locke, who was helping Boyd process documents in the office, looked up and met the eyes of the dejected Sieg.
"Sieg, what's wrong?"
"This is a rather sad story. You know Miss Jenny from Peach Tavern, right?"
Sieg said.
"I know him, so what?"
"She recently contracted a very serious, incurable sexually transmitted disease."
Sieg sighed, "But I can't take her to the church for healing. The Church of Life accepts even beggars, but not prostitutes. Her only fate is to wait for death."
Locke was taken aback. "So that's how it is. I thought you were sick too."
"I am an anomaly. Even if I get sick, I can recover my health through purification. Besides, I generally won't get diseases from ordinary people."
Sieg said confidently,
"Unfortunately, ordinary people aren't so lucky."
"Well, I suppose Miss Jenny is indeed pitiful."
Locke expressed his sympathy for Jenny and continued organizing the documents.
“Locke, you’re so cold-hearted. Aren’t you an old acquaintance of hers? You both live in the West End.”
Sieg said.
"I'm sorry, Miss Jenny and I are just casual acquaintances, not old friends."
Although she did show interest in me, I was fortunate enough to control myself and avoid having to go to the Church of Life for purification. It would be so embarrassing to talk about something like that.
Locke added to himself.
"Sig will die on a woman's belly sooner or later."
Angela has once again become a prophet.
Sieg shrugged dismissively. "Please make sure this woman has unparalleled beauty and a perfect figure, and also knows how to enjoy pleasure."
Locke finished organizing the data and returned the Heart of Dreams to Sieg.
Unexpectedly, a crack appeared on the silver pocket watch pendant, the Heart of Dreams.
Locke scratched his head awkwardly. How come he hadn't noticed before? This thing had quietly broken down.
"Sieg, I'm sorry."
"What did you do in Lux's dream? How did the Heart of Dreams become like this?"
A look of surprise appeared on Sieg's face.
“I did nothing, but some people’s dreams are unspeakable. To make up for your loss, I’ve decided to give this to you.”
Locke handed the C201 Shadow Candle to Sieg.
Sieg waved his hand.
“You have very few strange artifacts to begin with, and this is your main means of attack. I can’t accept them. How about this, the Queen has a blacksmith named Aeneasa Ryan who might be able to help repair the Heart of Dreams, provided you can persuade her. Of course, if you can make a contribution in the mission to protect the Queen, you might be able to ask the Queen for a favor.”
Sieg offered a reasonable suggestion, and Locke, without being coy, took back the C201 Shadow Candle.
“Yes, I hope Her Majesty will grant me a meeting with Miss Founder, considering how much I’ve always taken care of Princess Frida.”
"You are lucky enough, I believe you will receive grace."
