The nun looked at Sieg in surprise. "Oh, goddess, you wouldn't happen to be the playboy Sieg Bruce, would you?"

“This is slander, defamation. Although I am passionate, I am by no means fickle. I am very devoted and only like beautiful and young nuns like you.”

Sieg, sporting a pig-like face, struck up a conversation with the nun.

Sister Sinai, if she hadn't been so devout to the goddess of life, would almost have rolled her eyes at Sieg in the Holy Church.

Holding a thick book in her arms, she pointed towards the confessional, "Father Barnes is in the confessional. If you want to see him, please line up first."

After Sister Sinai finished speaking, she left with composed steps.

The confessional is a small wooden hut in the church, and a long line had formed outside, with what looked like thirty or forty people.

“Sinful Kosork, so many people come to confess every day, the priest must be very busy.”

Sieg sighed, leaned close to Locke's ear, and whispered,

“It’s okay, I have a way to get them to make way for us.”

Locke found Sieg to be a rather eccentric person, but since Sieg was willing to help, he was happy to oblige.

After all, Locke was still learning many things in the East End. Sometimes he felt like a country bumpkin who had just arrived in the city, and other times he felt like a Muggle from another world who was good for nothing except cooking.

"Sister Lux is in the confessional? Is it finally her turn to be on duty? I must go and see."

Sieg deliberately spoke loudly.

Upon hearing Lux's name, the men in the crowd who had been queuing outside the confessional all abandoned Father Buster and headed towards the church entrance.

The confessional is located in a separate hut outside the church, a five- or six-minute walk away, which is a ten-minute round trip.

Even if they had to travel a long way, the believers still wanted to see Sister Lux.

Sister Lux was a celebrity at the Cathedral of Life, known for her beauty and kindness, and especially popular with male believers.

Sieg said with a smile.

Locke nodded slightly, his strange knowledge having increased a little more.

The two walked to a group that now consisted of only four or five female believers.

Sieg tried to use his charm to chat them up again, but instead got slapped across the face.

"Don't think that just because you've dyed your skin a pious green, you can provoke Miss Andy."

The middle-aged woman dressed as a maid glared fiercely at Sieg, the one who had just brutally attacked the Hulk.

Sieg covered his left cheek, thought for a second, and then offered his right cheek as well.

"Madam, I feel my face is asymmetrical. Could you please do a scan of the right side as well?"

Miss Andy, who was being protected behind the middle-aged woman, covered her mouth and laughed. The woman was a beautiful young lady, about 24 years old, wearing a gorgeous long dress and a veiled feather hat.

When she laughed, the snow-white expanse in front of her trembled slightly, giving one a feeling of sudden enlightenment and the flowers swaying wildly.

Locke admitted that, apart from the witch Irene, he had never seen anyone with such a good figure.

The middle-aged woman immediately looked at Sieg warily.

Locke mentally gave this unreliable senior a thumbs up.

That's some impressive flirting skills.

The sacrifices were quite significant.

"Miss Andy, please don't laugh. Please mind your manners."

The maid gave a stern reminder.

Andy nodded slightly, trying to regain his composure.

"Let's go find Sister Lux too."

Andy said this and turned to leave.

The maid immediately chased after him, still cursing and berating Sieg for being such a clueless commoner who dared to get close to Miss Andy.

"Andy Hagen, the daughter of the Duke of Hagen, whoever wins her heart will gain one-fifth of the kingdom's wealth."

Sieg sighed as he watched Andy's retreating figure.

After negotiating with the other two women and obtaining their permission, Locke entered the confessional.

When Sieg realized what was happening and tried to enter the confessional, he was stopped by two women.

"queue!"

The two women didn't like him much, even though he was a devout green.

"My friend is inside."

"No! Only one person can go in at a time, that's the rule."

At that moment, Locke, in the confessional, saw Father Buster through a small window inside.

“Father Buster, hello. I am a friend of Uncle Yuri’s daughter. We met at Weina’s funeral.”

Locke began with a brief self-introduction.

Buster didn't look at him, and asked directly,

Do you need to repent?

“I need to repent. Because of my recklessness, I was cursed by the witch while protecting the lives of the residents of Kosork. I need help.”

"A mission? You're from the Bureau of Paranormal Investigations?"

Buster raised an eyebrow slightly, as if recalling an unpleasant memory.

"Yes, to be precise, not yet. I'm just a poor wretch who hasn't even started working yet, and I was taken on an A-level mission by a rash senior."

Locke replied.

"Stretch out your hand."

Locke reached out his hand, and Buster examined the curse mark on his wrist.

"Go back, I can't save you."

"Father, why?"

Locke was slightly taken aback.

"I can't sense your devotion to the goddess."

Buster replied.

“Father Buster, I have decided to start today to devoutly believe in the Goddess of Life. I am ashamed of my past ignorance. Please accept me.”

As soon as Locke finished speaking, a green sprout emerged from the floor of the confessional. The sprout quickly grew into a vine, and the leaves of the vine slapped powerfully against Locke's forehead.

Locke felt dizzy and before he could react, he was hit five or six times.

"The goddess doesn't believe what you say."

Buster said calmly.

"The goddess must have some misunderstanding about me."

Locke touched his swollen face, wondering if the goddess was unaware of the common sense that one shouldn't hit someone in the face.

He had barely had that thought when he got a slap on the butt.

"Okay, how can I make my goddess believe me?"

“Come to the Church of Life and pray for three consecutive months, and I will help you break your curse.”

Buster said.

"that's it?"

"that's it."

Locke suspected that the church had a way of forcing people to believe, but for the sake of his life, he chose to accept it anyway.

In short, I'm about to join the Bureau of Investigation and Statistics, which makes me a half-church member. I'll inevitably have to deal with the Cathedral of Life. Wouldn't it be even better if I could get on the good side of the goddess?

He had just had this thought when he looked warily at the vines around him.

The vines remained still, probably in agreement with his desire to throw himself into the arms of the goddess.

Locke breathed a sigh of relief.

Father Buster led Locke out of the confessional and apologized to the remaining female believers.

"That concludes today's confession. You may come again tomorrow."

The two female believers could only sigh and leave.

Sieg immediately leaned closer, "How is it?"

"The priest is going to take me to lift the curse."

As Locke spoke, he followed Father Buster and quickly left the first-floor hall, walking up the stairs made of trees and vines from the first floor to the top floor.

Sieg followed.

The three of them went to the purification room on the top floor.
