Locke said.
"Okay, go ahead, good luck."
Renis waved her hand, signaling Locke to leave.
After Locke discovered that Rhaenys's true form had returned, the 302nd Director's office never moved again, and there was no need for pigeons to guide the way.
It seems that the main body and the clone have many different habits.
After obtaining the certificate, Locke rode in a carriage drawn by two horses. Generally speaking, a carriage drawn by one horse is the cheapest, a carriage drawn by two horses costs 1.5 times more, a carriage drawn by three horses costs 2 times more, and a carriage drawn by four horses costs 3 times more.
The Queen's Quarter requires a carriage drawn by at least two horses to enter, so Locke had to spend money on the carriage to see the princess.
When the carriage arrived in the Queen's Quarter, Locke showed the sheriff at the guard post a document signed by Rhaenys before being allowed to enter.
The Queens Quarter consists of individual villas, manors, and magnificent art sculptures.
Those who can live here must at least hold the title of baron.
Furthermore, they must be barons whose assets and titles match, possessing substantial wealth.
Those who held noble titles but had squandered their fortunes were expelled from the Queen's Quarter long ago. Every inch of land in the Queen's Quarter was precious, and no poor person would ever be born there.
This is the territory inhabited by people at the top of the pyramid, where every blade of grass and every tree is extremely expensive.
Locke is currently passing through Redwood Road, which is lined with valuable Kosork Redwoods. These redwoods are excellent materials for shipbuilding, and a single tree can fetch 10 gold coins when exported.
The entire street is lined with redwood trees; it wouldn't be an exaggeration to describe it as a goldmine.
In winter, the bark of the redwood turns red, and the leaves turn a golden-red color, making it look like golden leaves from a distance. Therefore, the redwood is also known as the "tree of wealth and honor".
The coachman excitedly drove his carriage along the road, telling Locke the legend that passing through this street would bring him great fortune.
Locke listened while looking out the window at the scenery.
The snow covering the redwoods and various majestic buildings creates a fairytale-like scene.
If he's here for sightseeing or tourism, then it's definitely great value for money.
Unfortunately, he was there to complete a mission and didn't have much time to appreciate the scenery.
At the very front stands a tall building, carved with the "Queen's Crown," which is the golden chariot drawn by eight horses.
The eight snow deer horses are sculpted with remarkable realism. With their hooves raised high, they resemble a menacing chariot about to charge into battle against the enemy.
Passing by the "Queen's Crown," the carriage finally arrived at Lucimare Castle, where Princess Frida resided.
This is a subsidiary castle built next to Downy Castle, which, along with Crystal Palace, is one of the Queen's two residences.
Lucimare Castle is five times the size of a typical manor, with four gates in total, guarded and patrolled by the royal guards who strictly control the flow of people.
Without special documents, it is impossible to enter Fort Lucimar.
Lucymar Castle is a typical 18th-century European castle with a magnificent exterior.
The castle's outer walls are made of pale yellow stones, and white snow covers the top of the castle, making the whole castle look more mysterious and solemn.
The carriage stopped at the castle gate. After Locke presented his documents, the guards stopped the carriage and allowed Locke to pass alone.
"I'm sorry, vehicles and people require separate identification. This document will only allow you to enter."
The guard said seriously.
Locke nodded slightly, paid the carriage fare, got off the carriage, and continued on his way with the two dogs.
Although one of the dogs was dead, it did not hinder Locke's progress.
All he had to do was drag the burlap sack along.
The castle is surrounded by expansive lawns and gardens planted with all sorts of exotic flowers and plants. Between the lawns and gardens flows a wide stream, which is now frozen over.
A curved stone bridge spans the river, and silvery white roses bloom from time to time under the flowering trees on the side.
The path leading into the castle gate is lined with tall cypress trees. Further inside is a spacious and bright hall with marble floors and layers of crystal chandeliers on the dome. The central chandelier is larger than the apartment where Locke currently lives; if it were to fall, it could instantly kill more than ten people.
Large paintings hung on the wall, depicting scenes of court banquets; each painting was exquisite.
A maid led Locke inside, down a long corridor, to a spacious side room.
The side room features a warm fireplace and elegant sofas, with steaming black tea and delicate desserts on the coffee table.
Locke was arranged by his servants to wait here for Princess Frida.
He sat on the sofa, with the dead dog at his feet and the living Jerry tied to the fireplace.
Although Jerry was very docile, he was going to meet the princess after all, so Locke felt it was more appropriate to put a collar and leash on him to prevent any accidents.
Locke sipped his tea while waiting for Princess Frida.
About fifteen minutes later, Princess Frida finally arrived.
Today she wore a floral dress with green as the main color, and an emerald necklace around her fair neck, which complemented the long dress perfectly. She also wore a black mesh hat with a long peacock feather on it.
She wore three rings on her left hand, with red, blue, and green gemstones respectively, and held an unopened lace parasol in her right hand.
She handed the parasol to her accompanying maid, raised her delicate chin, and walked slowly into the side hall with the haughtiness of a white swan.
“Locke, I heard you found my dear Suad.”
"Yes, I have found your dear Suyad."
Locke repeated the princess's words and knelt on one knee in courtly etiquette.
Princess Frida extended her hand, allowing Locke to kiss the back of her fingers, before turning her gaze to Jerry, who was sticking out his tongue.
Next to the big golden retriever Jerry, there was another dead golden retriever that looked exactly like him.
Princess Frida's joyful expression turned to confusion.
"Locke, what's going on?"
“Based on the items you provided for Suyad, I found two identical dogs. Since I am not their owner, I cannot tell which one is the real Suyad, so I brought them both. Oh, one of the poor bastards did not survive last night's blizzard and has already entered the goddess's heaven.”
Locke said with a touch of sadness.
Frida nodded slightly and walked over to the two dogs.
Jerry, an old dog who had lived for over ten years, greeted the princess as if she were a close relative. He enthusiastically circled around Princess Frida, wagging his tail, shaking his head, and sticking out his tongue. He even lay down on the ground to let the princess stroke his belly, displaying the attributes of a sycophant to the fullest extent. No extra training was needed from Locke.
This surprised Locke. He had initially thought that Jerry, the dog, would be somewhat uncomfortable living under someone else's roof, but now he had no worries at all; the dog was so happy he was practically flying.
If you put a red cape on Jerry, he'll become a super dog.
Frida stroked Jerry's head and chin, examined his neck, and then went to the dead Suard, again examining Suard's neck.
Neither dog had a collar, which made her frown slightly.
The gold necklace she made for Suyad was inlaid with a rare purple gemstone, and Suyad's name was also engraved on the necklace.
She stood up and looked at Locke.
"Where is Suyad's collar?"
"I'm sorry, when I found these two dogs, neither of them had collars around their necks."
Actually, Jerry did have one, but I took it off. As for who took Suad's collar, I don't know.
Locke added in his mind.
“If I find out that you stole the collar that belonged to Suyad, I will make sure that collar is always around your neck, and you will never be able to take it off.”
Princess Frida's eyes were cold as she spoke in a warning tone.
Locke nodded.
“Okay, if I steal Suyad’s collar, I’ll wear it for the rest of my life.”
Frida still frowned; she had already figured out which of the two dogs was Suad.
Just then, a maid dressed in a black and white ruffled maid outfit approached and whispered,
“The second son of Viscount Barty, Jamaco Barty, requests an audience, saying he has found your beloved dog, Suad.”
Frida raised an eyebrow slightly and stood up.
“Interesting, there are so many Suyads. Let him in.”
Locke vaguely felt that things were developing in a way that was somewhat unexpected. Wasn't Jamaco Batti, the second son of Viscount Batti, the same man with kidney deficiency that he had met at the party last night?
He actually came up with this idea to get close to Princess Frida; he really went to great lengths.
"Take this poor wretch who hasn't been through a blizzard down with him."
Princess Frida ordered that servants be brought away immediately to remove the real Suad.
Soon, Jamaco Batti walked in, leading a large golden retriever that looked about 48% like Suad.
He was visibly taken aback when he saw Locke.
He glanced at the dog frolicking around the princess, guessing that this was the "Suard" Locke had brought, his eyes filled with provocation and arrogance.
He walked up to the princess with his head held high, waiting for her to extend her hand so he could kiss it.
Unfortunately, Princess Frida ignored him completely, so he could only bow slightly.
"Your Highness, I have found your beloved dog, Suad."
Jamaco Batti led the big golden retriever, who was wearing a Suad collar, to Frida's side.
