Arknights' Lock of Heaven

"Or is this the same pose you used when you took Amiya to play in the sky?"
"You think you can compare to Amiya?" Xia Yu scoffed. "What gave you the illusion that you haven't offended me?"
He said quietly, "Look how smart Kal'tsit is. She never asks me anything. We just leave it at that and understand each other perfectly well."
"But what about you?"
"You touched that sword I gave Amiya quite a bit, didn't you?"
"Explain why a sample of the magic steel I created was found in your room?"
"Using spicy hot pot to bribe Nian... what were you thinking?"
"And Skadi, I never knew that a poem I casually recited could be so firmly memorized by her, and then you managed to trick her into revealing it to Nian..."
Xia Yu's voice was filled with gritted teeth.
Why do I know so much about this?
It's because early this morning, someone excitedly knocked on my door, holding this poem, and asked me if I knew someone named Ling.
How can I say Xia Yu? Of course, I don't know it.
But Nian didn't believe it and kept pestering him to tell him whether he knew him or not, all because of this poem.
She said that among the people she knew, the one named Ling was the most capable of writing such poems.
After repeated questioning, Nian realized that this person truly did not know her.
Xia Yu also managed to get some information out of her.
It turns out that Skadi had always remembered this poem, and after returning, the professor managed to get information out of her, and then she went to ask him about it.
Incidentally, this poem has already gone viral among the Yan Kingdom operators on Rhodes Island.
As a citizen of Yan, who doesn't have a chivalrous spirit?
"Zhao guest wears a silk tassel, Wu hook shines like frost and snow."
"A silver saddle shines on a white horse, swift as a shooting star."
"Kill one person every ten steps, and leave no trace in a thousand miles."
"When the work is done, I will leave, hiding my identity and name."
“What beautiful lines of poetry,” the professor repeated the beginning upon hearing this.
"Why are you hiding yourself? I asked Nian and some Yan Guo agents, and they all said they had never heard of this poem."
"This must be your original work, right?"
"What's the name of this poem again?"
"A chivalrous journey," Xia Yu replied calmly.
"Also, I am not the original author; the original author is Li Bai."
"Then who exactly is Li Bai?" the professor continued. "What was his courtesy name? Where did he live? What was his ethnicity? And what were his ancestors...?"
“Look, look,” Xia Yu shook her head upon hearing this, “you’re still investigating.”
"..."
“I don’t know either,” the doctor shook his head, his voice low, upon hearing this.
"You know, I have amnesia."
She looked up at the horizon in the depths of the night, "I don't remember anything."
"To be honest, I'm very uneasy."
"There's always a sense of unreality about this world and the people around me."
"I don't know if there's something wrong with my brain."
"Always afraid of the unknown."
"I wish I could hold onto everything around me, have everything under control, and memorize every piece of information..."
“Every unknown thing around me is testing my nerves. I know this is not normal. I asked Kal'tsit, but she only left me with a very complicated expression and told me that everything was normal.”
"Yes, everything is normal. It seems that this is the normal version of me for her..."
"So, you're saying you simply lack a sense of security?"
Hearing this, Xia Yu raised an eyebrow.
“Yes, yes, yes,” the Doctor nodded repeatedly, “That’s a very insightful summary. I do lack a sense of security, and I’m sure you can understand. After all, you were in a similar situation when you first came to Rhodes Island, so you should be able to empathize…”
Her voice grew quieter.
"..." Xia Yu stared at her silently.
"It's beyond repair! There's nothing I can do!" Upon seeing this, the professor completely gave up.
"That's just how I am; I always test people with my words! Think what you want!"
"Sigh..." Hearing this, Xia Yu reached out and lifted her up, changing her posture from holding her by the back of the neck to wrapping her arms around her waist.
"Hmm, that's more like it," the doctor said, adjusting his posture and finding a comfortable position.
“It’s truly magnificent,” she said, looking down at Kazimierz, “the traces of civilization…”
"Alright, we've built up the atmosphere to this point," Xia Yu looked at the professor, "What exactly do you want to say to me?"
"Don't blame me for prying into your secrets?" the doctor scoffed.
“It was all a joke,” Xia Yu shook her head. “This doesn’t count as spying.”
"Oh, by the way, I really didn't write that poem."
"Ha," the doctor sneered upon hearing this, "I'll take it seriously."
It's no joke, this person is incredibly petty!
He really pulled himself up all the way up!
You're trying to create an atmosphere? Don't you even consider who's ruining the atmosphere?
"Let's get down to business!"
Seeing that the doctor seemed somewhat dissatisfied, Xia Yu repeated herself.
“Alright, let’s get down to business,” the Doctor said, looking down at the tiny Rhodes Island.
"Don't you think Kal'tsit's approach is too conservative?"
"Always worrying about this and that, keeping eight million secrets in his heart but never saying a word, always acting like he knows everything..."
"Don't you feel restricted?"
255. Paying money to buy life?
"I don't know Kal'tsit."
Under the moonlight, the professor said, "We don't know her past, we don't know her heart, we don't know anything about her..."
"After all, I'm just someone with amnesia."
“However, there are some things I can see,” the doctor said calmly, “perhaps it’s because of failure, or perhaps it’s because of the inability to change things…”
"Everything about her was so conservative."
"From words to actions, we could have done so much more."
“You think so too, right?” The doctor looked up at Xia Yu as he spoke.
"So powerful, so ambitious... yet forced to remain on Rhodes Island..."
"Confined to Rhodes Island?" Xia Yu scoffed upon hearing this. "Are you suggesting I go out on my own and start a great career next?"
"Isn't this a good thing?" the doctor said calmly. "I will help you. With your strength and my intellect, can't we accomplish something great?"
"..."
“Heh,” Xia Yu shook her head upon hearing this, and said meaningfully, “Sometimes, I really wonder if you’ve really lost your memory.”
"What's there to doubt?" the doctor said frankly. "Do you want the diagnosis report? It was issued by Kal'tsit."
"Although I think she is too conservative, it does not mean I deny her medical skills."
“You really care about Rhodes Island…” Xia Yu gave a cryptic smile. “If you really have amnesia… can you really build such a strong sense of belonging in just a few months?”
"And what about you?" the doctor retorted, not to be outdone. "You haven't been here any longer than me, have you?"
“Rhodes Island is special to me,” Xia Yu said frankly. “This ship, and the people on board, are special to me.”
He turned to look at the earth.
"My heart has nowhere else to go but here."
"Nowhere to go? That's quite a romantic statement," the Doctor chuckled softly. "Then why do you think Rhodes Island is special? May I have the honor of knowing?"
"This," Xia Yu said, keeping it a secret for a moment, then said, "It's a secret."
"Ha, I won't tell you since you can't speak like a human being."
