Chapter 97 Dungeon Boss Battle (Part 1)
June 24, 6 PM, Hongge Amusement Park.
The large animal dolls standing at the entrance had cracks in their eye sockets and mouths from the wear and tear of time, making them look particularly eerie.
The five people walked past the animal dolls and entered the amusement park. It was excessively quiet, like a forgotten forest, damp and gloomy, with every ride covered in a rusty, reddish stain.
Fortunately, it was daytime, and the five players were traveling together, so they weren't too affected by the eerie environment.
Ke Mingye put his hands in the pockets of his jumpsuit and led the way forward, gradually approaching the pirate ship that was suspended below the swing arm by layers of supports.
The "pirate ship" is long and narrow, tapering to a point at both ends.
The ship is decorated with retro-style ornaments everywhere. Whether it is the tattered sails, the dark brown hull, the black pirate flag, or the fragmented skull pattern on the flag, everything is trying to replicate the appearance of a medieval pirate ship.
Ke Mingye tilted his head back and said, "I played with this when I was a kid, and it scared the crap out of me."
"Heh, not as good as the Paranoid Master," the Paranoid Master behind him sneered, "I can play with this kind of thing without even blinking."
He wasn't wearing bandages to his face today, but he was still wearing a black hooded jacket and black trousers. His face was thin and pale, and his excessively long black hair was tied back in a ponytail.
To be honest, the weird guy is actually quite handsome when he's not being weird; all you have to do is tap his mouth shut and he's perfect.
"Only elementary school students play this."
Qingmeng spoke casually, her light blue twin ponytails swaying in the cold wind.
"Aren't these two just elementary school students?" - Anti-dog commentary.
"Okay, actually I'm a primary school student too." Qingmeng's gaze stopped in front of a carousel, and she said frankly, "It's fun, I love playing."
"If you like chatting, chat as much as you can now. You won't be able to chat anymore once you get completely destroyed in the dungeon," Cai Bing said, munching on a lollipop while fiddling with her phone.
As they chatted, they approached the "pirate ship" amusement ride. They exchanged glances, reached out, and touched the control panel.
The moment the five hands pressed down on the instance panel, all the supports of the swing arm shattered with a crash, as if the gears of some huge machine had suddenly derailed.
Then, like a demon freed from its shackles, the pirate ship was gradually enveloped in a hazy blue will-o'-the-wisp. The outline of the ship was sometimes clear, sometimes blurred. A mournful pirate song drifted from the sky, like a demon grinding its teeth and sucking blood.
The massive swing arm and support structure plummeted to the ground, kicking up clouds of dust.
As the ghost ship ascended into the sky, sixteen eerie figures emerged from the side of the ship, looking down at the five players on the ground.
Under the midday sun, their faces were shrouded in shadow, but one could see the eerie fire burning in their eyes.
The total number of players participating in this instance is 5: Failed Man, Anti-Dog, Ice Cutter, Obsessive, and Unspeakable Dream.
[This raid instance has officially begun. Please use any means necessary to defeat the boss within the instance—the Ghost Pirate Captain—Grivacris.]
Ke Mingye stared intently at the pirate captain standing on the side of the ship. He was tall, about two and a half meters tall, and stood out among the pirates.

[Dungeon Boss Introduction:]
After a horrific shipwreck, Greva Chris lost all his crew members and his right eye.
Griva, tormented by loneliness and injury, was haunted by the vivid memories of death and failure that surrounded him like thorns.
He drifted through life aimlessly, gradually losing hope in the world amidst broken bottles and volatile marijuana.
Like a puppet that has lost its soul, unable to rise again.
One evening, the ragged Greva awoke on the street. He knelt on the ground, hunched over, and looked up at the enormous sun.
I recall that sunset I saw with fifteen crew members on the vast, turbulent sea.
They sang rough pirate songs as they watched the sun slowly sink below the horizon, and the whole sea returned to calm.
That was the most beautiful sunset Griva had ever seen in his life.
When he came to his senses, his eyes were already wet with tears. He knelt down on the street and kowtowed repeatedly to the setting sun on the horizon.
"If I haven't woken up from this nightmare by the hundredth time I've kowtowed," Griva thought.
Pedestrians on the street mocked the homeless man, yet were also terrified by his repeated kowtows to the setting sun.
The scene resembled some kind of solemn religious ceremony, making people unconsciously stop and watch.
When he kowtowed for the hundredth time, Griva raised his blood-stained forehead in a daze, gazing at the sky that had completely darkened. The setting sun withdrew its last rays from the earth, and the world went dark.
He looked around; the streets were shrouded in a gray haze, as if mocking him, for a miracle was impossible. Blood streamed down his forehead, staining his eyes crimson.
Greta Chris was utterly despondent.
He lowered his head, his eyes vacant, picked up the scattered wine bottle, smashed it, and picked up one of the shards, pointing the sharp end at his neck.
Just as he was about to end his life, a strange voice came from the dim light: "Buy me, and I will take you back to that ocean."
Griva stood there for a long time, then slowly turned his head to look at the pet shop on his right. There was a parrot with beautiful rainbow-colored feathers standing in its cage, staring at him without moving.
"Are you speaking to me?" Griva asked.
"Buy me, and I will grant your wish."
Legend has it that on that night, Grivar encountered a legendary creature.
For the next month, Griva, with a bird and his only remaining eye, returned alone to one of the world's most dangerous seas and survived.
When he returned, he brought back fifteen of his former comrades-in-arms. They had never died; they had simply been stranded on a nearby deserted island.
What happened next is known to every pirate; Grivar Chris became an insurmountable legend at sea.
Having lost everything, he started from scratch and made a comeback. In just six months, Greva's pirate crew became the overlord of the seas.
They called themselves the "Ghost Pirates," meaning that every crew member was a man who had come from hell, especially their captain, Greva Chris.
A century later, all the crew members were reduced to skeletons by the ravages of time and buried in the earth.
But a legend persists at sea: a lone parrot summoned sixteen spirits from the underworld, sixteen old friends, and their tale continues to this day.
"It doesn't look like it'll be easy to beat," Ke Mingye said pessimistically.
"The key is that parrot," Antidog said bluntly. "Kill the parrot on the captain's shoulder, and the pirate ship and the sixteen pirates will disappear together."
Ke Mingye turned to look at him: "How can you be so sure? Didn't you say you've never played this dungeon before?"
“I haven’t fought it,” Anti-Dog replied. “But you can tell from the backstory that the boss’s name is just a smokescreen.”
“That’s similar to the previous instance,” Ke Mingye said.
"Anyway, just shoot that parrot?"
As she spoke, Qingmeng took a Thompson submachine gun out of her bag, then raised her eyes and fixed her gaze on the colorful parrot on the captain's shoulder.
“If I’m not mistaken, that’s how it should be,” Antidog said calmly.
"Time to transform, weirdo. You're not planning to spectate, are you?" Cai Bing put away her phone and glanced at the obsessive man beside her.
"You don't need to tell me that." The obsessive snorted coldly, took out a small, blood-red knife from his pocket, and licked it: "—Magical Girl, Transform!"
As soon as he finished speaking, his body was instantly enveloped in a layer of cocoon-like light.
With a cold, obsessive smile, she brushed her hair back with both hands, and then the cocoon of light shattered, revealing a magical girl wielding a giant scythe.
Magical Girl Red Moon lifted her eyes from her bangs and curled her lip in disdain: "Why don't you guys just go AFK? I can take them all down by myself."
"Shut up, you weirdo, don't affect my fighting spirit."
As he spoke, Ke Mingye took out his "electromagnetic pulse glove" from his bag. With a clicking metallic sound, the silver-white glove with a metallic texture was fitted onto the surface of his right hand.
As soon as the words fell, the battle was about to break out.
All the cannons mounted on the floating ghost ship were aimed at the five people on land. The next instant, accompanied by a deafening roar that tore through the sky, a barrage of bullets rained down!

Chapter 98 Dungeon Boss Battle (Part 2)
The ship's eight cannons simultaneously adjusted their direction downwards, their dark muzzles aimed at the five players on land, like a giant eight-eyed spider opening its eyes, lowering its gaze, and staring intently at the earth.
At that moment, an overly calm voice rang in Ke Mingye's ears.
"We'll split into two groups. Spider-Man and Weird Man will board the ghost ship's deck; Ice-Cut will keep an eye on me and Punk Girl, we'll play support," Anti-Dog said.
"Oh!"
Before he could finish speaking, the eight cannons on the ship's hull were already spitting out intense flashes of fire.
Ke Mingye suddenly raised his eyes, his gaze sweeping across the overwhelming barrage of bullet comments and landing on the nearby buildings.
The only usable high-altitude support point nearby is an abandoned Ferris wheel. If they could climb onto that Ferris wheel, they should be able to get closer to the ghost ship.
Without hesitation, he took off running towards the Ferris wheel. His speed rivaled that of a leopard at full throttle, and he was out of the shadow of the barrage of comments in mere seconds.
