The Unorthodox Tomb Raider

Chen Yulou, however, showed a hint of realization on his face.
Although he didn't quite understand, he thought that as the leader of the Unloading Ridge faction, he couldn't pretend to be clueless.
So, Chen Yulou straightened his expression and looked at Fang Yun, saying:
"The tomb raiders are skilled in using supernatural powers, and their ability to observe mountains and identify dragons is indeed well-deserved. Today has truly broadened my horizons."
"Although I am from the Xieling sect, I have long been fascinated by feng shui. I wonder if Brother Fang could elaborate on this? It doesn't have to involve the sect's lineage."
Upon hearing this, Fang Yun was taken aback, but inwardly chuckled.
He's gotten used to tomb raiding lately, and when he talks about feng shui, he uses ancient terms, forgetting that people who aren't good at feng shui don't even know where to find dragon veins.
But Chen Yulou is really concerned about saving face... If he doesn't understand, he doesn't understand, but he still has to find an excuse.
It wasn't easy to refuse, given the social etiquette, so Fang Yun offered a brief explanation.
"The earth's veins and mountains here are deep and powerful, with continuous vein patterns. It is a typical hidden dragon vein among the nine types of dragon veins."
"However, beside the main peak, Ping Mountain, there are two mountain ranges that spread out like wings, which gives Ping Mountain the appearance of a flying dragon."
"As for the dragon's posture, the tail, body, and wings are all auxiliary postures. Only the position of the dragon's head can be called a treasure cave."
"So I concluded that the place we were looking for was hidden inside the mountaintop."
"Since we're at the top of the mountain, why don't we just go up there?" Luo Laowai shouted loudly, making Chen Yulou next to him roll his eyes.
"Commander Luo, don't be in a hurry. Let Brother Fang finish speaking first."
Chen Yulou patted Luo Laowai on the shoulder and looked at Fang Yun.
“The main burial chamber is on the mountaintop, but we can’t enter from there.” Fang Yun narrowed his eyes and looked up at the summit of Ping Mountain.
"In feng shui, the dragon vein, the cave, the sand, the water, and the orientation are all indispensable."
"This place has dragon veins, sand, water, and mountain orientation; all it lacks is a suitable burial site."
"Since the tomb owner would have chosen to locate the tomb within the shape of a flying dragon, he would have built body chambers and wing chambers around the main burial chamber for the purpose of preventing theft and concealing the tomb from others."
“Going up the mountain would only lead us into the tomb owner’s trap, and we have no way to dig a tunnel through the rock that leads directly to the main burial chamber, so going up the mountain is not an option.”
Upon hearing this, Chen Yulou's eyes lit up, and he immediately spoke up:
"If there are body and wing acupoints, there must also be a tail acupoint, right?"
"Brother Chen is right." Fang Yun grinned and continued:
"In such a dangerous mountain, hollowing out a precarious peak to build a mausoleum is an extremely difficult task. Whether it is transporting people or goods, the only way is by water."
"In the Flying Dragon Formation, the dragon's head is above and the tail is below. The tail must be connected to a water vein to ensure that all five elements are complete."
"A flying dragon, a flying dragon, there's no reason for it to burrow from the sky to the ground!"
"Even if we were to build a mausoleum, we could only dig from the bottom up, so that the dragon's energy would not be broken and the construction of the mausoleum would be more convenient!"
"Therefore, entering from the tail cave is the safest option, as it is the place where tombs are built and people enter and exit, and there will be relatively fewer traps and obstacles there."
Fang Yun explained everything in plain language, very directly.
"it is good!"
Suddenly, Luo Laowai shouted and started clapping for Fang Yun.
Snapped!Snapped!Snapped!
"Oh, Brother Fang Yun, I'm just a rough guy like Luo Laowai. I was blind to your greatness before. Please don't be angry with me. I apologize!"
"That makes perfect sense. You have to build a house one floor at a time, otherwise the stones at the bottom won't go up, and the stones at the top won't come down. That makes sense, doesn't it?"
"If I ever come across a tomb hidden in the mountains again, I'll start blasting it from the foot of the mountain!"
Luo Laowai clapped his hands, his face full of excitement, feeling that he had grasped the true meaning of feng shui.
Seeing this, Fang Yun smirked and shook his head.
As expected of Luo Laowai, you're really something! Excellent!
"Commander Luo..."
Chen Yulou covered his ears and patted Luo Laowai helplessly, saying:
"This principle applies to Ping Mountain, but it may not apply to other places. Even if someone who is not familiar with feng shui stands here, they cannot see the dragon vein and terrain of this mountain."
"As I said, each of the three factions—tomb raiders, mountain movers, and ridge unloaders—has its own strengths. With the three of us joining forces, Commander Luo can just wait to collect the gold and jade treasures in the mountains."
Chen Yulou was no less excited than Luo Laowai, and with a smirk, he cupped his hands to Fang Yun and said:
"Brother Fang's words have truly broadened my horizons. I, who am known for my strength in the Unloading Ridge sect, have never witnessed the art of observing mountains and identifying dragons before."
"cough.."
At this point, Chen Yulou coughed lightly, his expression somewhat strange.
"Now that you've demonstrated your skill of observing mountains and identifying dragon veins, Brother Fang, are you going to use your technique of finding dragon veins and pinpointing acupoints next?"
Fang Yun's face darkened upon hearing this.
Chen Yulou is indeed a 'remarkable person'—arrogant, thin-skinned, and cunning, able to exploit his partners while making it sound so appealing.
"Yes, Brother Fang Yun, if you ask me, we should steal this Bottle Mountain as soon as possible!"
"Let's not wait for that mountain-moving thing. Who knows how long they'll be searching for centipede medicine?"
"I accept what Brother Tou said earlier. I like capable people. After we rob that tomb, you can choose the treasure first!"
Luo Laowai's eyes darted around, and he chimed in.
A few funerary objects are nothing compared to the vast collection of treasures in Pingshan. As long as we can get the treasures into our pockets as soon as possible, everything is negotiable!
After all, treasures are everywhere, but only the treasures that are in your pocket are good treasures!
"Then just follow me."
Fang Yun chuckled and nodded before heading down the mountain path, with Chen Yulou, Luo Laowai, and the others quickly following behind.
"We can find the dragon vein and locate the burial site today, but we'll have to wait for the Mountain Moving Leader and the others to return before we can proceed with the tomb burial."
As they walked, Fang Yun reminded them, "According to Brother Chen, those centipedes are incredibly venomous and come in huge numbers. We absolutely cannot confront them rashly."
"We only have one life, and we can't escape the tomb of the Yuan Dynasty general, so it's best to be safe."
Partridge Whistle said in the morning that he had found a way to counteract the poison. He then disguised himself and left the inn with the Miao guide that Chen Yulou had found and several unloading warriors to inquire in the nearby Miao villages.
I reckon Partridge Whistle will still be able to find the Angry Sun Chicken, the nemesis of the Five Poisons, which carries the blood of the phoenix.
He had no intention of going down into the tomb until Partridge Whistle returned.
Although he could obtain the Qilin blood upon entering the tomb, he couldn't possibly bleed himself out the entire way. He knew how weak he would be after bleeding himself out in the drifting bottle.
The point of teaming up is to make dungeon runs easier, right?
If he has to do all the damage, then what's the point of having teammates?

Chapter Seven: Opening the Burial Mound, the Angry Rooster!
Fang Yun walked at the front of the group, returned to the foot of Ping Mountain, and strolled around the foot of the mountain.
In these deep mountains, there are countless rivers. Fang Yun led his team for almost half an hour before they found the river they were looking for.
The river is over 100 meters wide, with cliffs on both sides. If you want to go upstream, you have to go down into the river and go against the current.
After taking out the positioning compass and confirming the location, Fang Yun spoke to Chen Yulou and the others behind him.
“If you follow the river upstream, you can reach the tail of the flying dragon, which is located directly below Mount Ping.”
"it is good!"
Looking at the river before him, Chen Yulou's lips curled into a smile. He turned around and shouted to the group of Unloading Ridge Warriors:
"Brothers, let's build the raft and head into the mountains!"
"Dumped!"
After Chen Yulou spoke, the group of Unloading Ridge Warriors responded loudly and immediately sprang into action, drawing their machetes and rushing towards the surrounding trees.
These unloading warriors were quite professional in terms of weaponry; in just over ten minutes, they had built five rafts.
The raft was made using the Unloading Ridge Round Mountain Shield and the Centipede Mountain Ladder, combined with wood, making it many times better than ordinary rafts.
After Chen Yulou and Luo Laowai each selected some of their best men, they followed Fang Yun onto the raft.
The raft set off, propelled upstream by the rowing of the group of strongmen who worked on the unloading procession.
The closer you get to the upstream, the smaller the river becomes, and the more rapid the current becomes.
After about ten minutes, the raft entered the mouth of a cliff.
Once you get here, there are no more riverbanks to stand on. If it weren't for the fact that you can still see the sky when you look up, it would be no different from walking in a cave.
As the raft rounded a bend, Luo Laowai excitedly pointed ahead and shouted:
"Great, there's a cave over there!"
Upon seeing that the river emerged from a cave, Fang Yun's eyes lit up and he smiled, "Just a little more effort, and this is it!"
