After the dinner, the freshmen, who were supposed to go straight back to their dormitories to rest, were instead led back to the lounge next to the auditorium by Professor McGonagall.
Professor McGonagall began checking whether the new students were carrying wands in order to determine whether Malfoy's ordeal was orchestrated.
After a 15-minute examination, the results surprised Professor McGonagall.
None of the new students carried a wand.
In other words, the possibility of human intervention can be largely ruled out in Malfoy's case.
"This matter should be reported to Headmaster Dumbledore as soon as possible!" Professor McGonagall's usually serious face showed a rare solemnity.
Chapter 33 Dumbledore's Invitation
However, despite being somewhat flustered, she didn't forget to take Chu Yang to the principal's office as well.
The two went up the spiral staircase to the 8th floor. At the end of the staircase was an oak door with a griffin knocker. Professor McGonagall stepped forward, picked up the knocker, and knocked on the door.
With a creak, the door opened, and Professor McGonagall led Chu Yang into the room. What came into view was a huge wooden table with snacks laid out on it.
The room was spacious and filled with strange and unusual silverware, which looked like magical creations, or perhaps just simple decorations.
The wise old man was standing by the window, seemingly deep in thought.
"Dumbledore, Chu Yang is here," Professor McGonagall reminded him.
"Thank you for your help, Minerva. You can go ahead with your work!" Dumbledore smiled and nodded, then walked across the wooden table in the center of the room and went straight to Chu Yang.
"Before I leave, there is something I need to tell you." Professor McGonagall walked quickly to Dumbledore's side, and spoke in a low voice about Malfoy and the Black Lake.
A hint of surprise flashed in Dumbledore's eyes. He pondered for a moment and said, "We should ask Malfoy about the specifics after he wakes up. Let's put the other people's accounts aside for now."
“I understand.” Professor McGonagall nodded, then turned and left the principal’s office.
"You must be Chu Yang? Sprout mentions your name to me every day. For a while, I thought I was living in the East." Dumbledore greeted Chu Yang with a smile and offered him some snacks from the table.
The moment they received the snacks from Dumbledore, their eyes met, and then Dumbledore experienced the same fate as the Sorting Hat.
Three or four seconds later, Dumbledore quickly closed his eyes and took a deep breath. The oppressive feeling conveyed by those gazes was almost unbearable even for him.
"No wonder the Sorting Hat behaved that way. It's like you're hiding something extraordinary within you, preventing others from prying into your thoughts."
Dumbledore exclaimed, “Because you are an orphan, we naturally assumed your parents were Muggles, but now it seems that this idea is a little inaccurate.”
“Your parents must have come from a famous wizarding family in an ancient Eastern country, otherwise it would be difficult to explain what’s on you.”
Chu Yang shrugged and replied indifferently, "I don't know where they're from, but I am indeed an orphan."
"Also, you just said you were spying on my thoughts..."
Chu Yang looked intently at Dumbledore. Anyone who had experienced Legilimency twice in one day would be angry.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Chu Yang. This is one of the few bad habits I've had in all my years as principal. I'm always thinking about being careful and cautious in everything, but I've neglected other more important things."
Dumbledore spoke gently and sincerely, saying, "From your perspective, you should indeed feel angry, but I also hope you can understand an old man like me."
Dumbledore was a very intelligent wizard, and his greatest strength was his ability to influence others with kindness and sincerity.
Chu Yang was well aware of this, but even so, the anger in his heart was rapidly dissipating.
Dumbledore smiled and said, "In compensation, I can grant some reasonable requests, such as providing more scholarships."
“I love reading!” Chu Yang said without hesitation. “Headmaster Dumbledore, if possible, I would like the library to open more areas to me so that I can acquire more knowledge.”
Chu Yang's request was clearly not what Dumbledore had expected. He had originally thought that a child from an orphanage would decisively choose financial assistance.
Dumbledore praised, “As a wizard, this is undoubtedly a wise choice, but knowledge is often dangerous, especially for a child your age who cannot yet discern such dangers.”
"Moreover, you have only just enrolled and there is still a lot of basic knowledge you need to learn. If you want to become a great wizard, you must take every step steadily."
"Therefore, I will hold off on your request for now and let you access more knowledge at the appropriate time."
Chu Yang did not press the matter further and calmly accepted Dumbledore's advice.
Chu Yang had expected Dumbledore's refusal. He hadn't expected to achieve his goal in one go, and getting Dumbledore to make a promise was already a very good result.
As long as Chu Yang continues to demonstrate his extraordinary talent and changes Dumbledore's mind, the magical knowledge hidden in the library will eventually be his.
Dumbledore was pleased with Chu Yang's maturity beyond his years.
If it were any other 11-year-old, it would probably have been difficult for him for a long time.
"Sprout told me about some of your unusual qualities, and the Sorting Hat seems to have difficulty deciding your place in the House. So, what are your thoughts on this?"
At this moment, Dumbledore was like a kind old neighbor, discussing issues with Chu Yang in a friendly manner. Chu Yang felt a sense of equality from his attitude, and this attitude alone made people feel close to him.
Chu Yang closed his eyes and thought it over and over, but in the end he shook his head.
Dumbledore adjusted his glasses and asked, "Child, can you show me your magic?"
After he finished speaking, he pointed his finger into the air, and the magic at his fingertips bloomed like fireworks.
Immediately afterwards, the magic wand on the desk flew into his hand.
Casting spells without a wand!
Dumbledore handed the wand to Chu Yang.
He smiled and said, "This is a wand that I had prepared in advance. The materials used to make it are similar to your wand."
"Of course, the core of this wand is not a precious unicorn scale, but a unicorn tail feather. Both are sacred and magical creatures, so they will not be too resistant to your magic."
Chu Yang took the wand from Dumbledore, but he wondered what it would be like if Dumbledore asked him to use the Elder Wand to cast a spell.
What kind of impact will occur when natural magic, with Wood Release at its core, meets the Elder Wand with Elderwood and Yastler's tail feathers?
Anyway... this principal's office is definitely not going to survive.
The portraits of past principals hanging on the wall will also suffer a devastating blow.
Dumbledore was unaware that Chu Yang was lost in thought. Seeing that he hadn't moved for a while, he assumed that Chu Yang was worried about the consequences, so he smiled and comforted him, "Don't be afraid, child. No matter what happens, I will take responsibility for you. Relax, concentrate, and control your magic."
Having learned from his previous experience, Chu Yang felt less awkward using the wand. He listened to Dumbledore's teachings, slowly channeling his magic into it and gently waving it.

The wand was pointing directly at the wooden table in front of the two of them, and the wooden table had actually begun to sprout and grow under the influence of the magic.
Spring comes out of dead trees!
Dumbledore, who witnessed everything firsthand, looked shocked and murmured, "Unbelievable, absolutely unbelievable! This immense life energy is as if nature itself is casting a spell."
"Magic has always been presented as a simple form of energy."
"Even though there are white wizards and black wizards among wizards, and special cases like black magic, they are all essentially just magic power. But this kind of magic power with certain innate qualities is something I have never encountered before in my life!"
Dumbledore looked as if he had discovered a treasure, his face beaming with a childlike, innocent, and delighted smile.
When Chu Yang's magic dissipated, a small tree had grown on the wooden table, almost reaching the ceiling, with ivy and colorful little flowers growing on the vines below.
The portraits on the wall could no longer contain themselves and began to chatter amongst themselves.
"Amazing! This is a truly beautiful scene!"
"This really overturned my understanding. That child could produce such amazing effects without casting any spells."
"Dumbledore, arrest him and study him! He might just usher in a great era!"
Chu Yang slowly raised his head and stared coldly at the portrait that was clamoring to arrest him.
Phineas Nigellus Black
The first headmaster to graduate from Slytherin, and also the most unpopular headmaster in Hogwarts history!
He was also the great-great-grandfather of Harry's godfather, Sirius Black.
In short... he is the most detestable one among all the portraits of school principals!
“Don’t say that, Headmaster Phineas.” Dumbledore straightened his beard and wiped his glasses. “He’s about to enter Slytherin, so he’s your junior, after all.”
"What?!" Phineas suddenly flew into a rage!
Only a gaping maw remained in the picture frame, roaring, "I will never allow a Muggle-born child to enter the great Slytherin House!"
Phineas had just overheard Chu Yang and Dumbledore's conversation and knew that Chu Yang came from an orphanage.
As for Dumbledore's later statement that Chu Yang might be a descendant of a famous wizarding family in the East, Phineas didn't take it seriously.
Since he didn't use Legilimency on Chu Yang, he naturally couldn't agree with Dumbledore's opinion.
"You've been dead for over sixty years, why are you still clinging to that ridiculous theory of bloodline?" a female principal said sarcastically, her contempt for Phineas evident in her tone.
Chu Yang glanced at her name.
[Dalise de Winter]
Before becoming the renowned Headmistress of Hogwarts, she was the head healer at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Injuries and Sicknesses.
