"Good night, Professor McGonagall." Chu Yang tried to salvage his image with an innocent smile, but Professor McGonagall remained unmoved, staring at him indifferently. Helpless, Chu Yang could only walk around Professor McGonagall and head towards the dark and damp dungeon.

In just two days, Chu Yang's surprises for Dumbledore were somewhat excessive, forcing the old man to be on high alert.

Back in the Slytherin common room, Chu Yang found it unusually quiet.

Upon closer inspection, they discovered that Snape was sitting upright on the sofa.

"Good evening, Professor Snape." Chu Yang greeted Snape in a friendly manner, but he couldn't help feeling a little surprised, as Snape rarely came to the common room.

"Headmaster Dumbledore asked me to arrange a double room for you. I didn't realize you had such influence, Mr. Chu Yang." Snape stood up, his words as barbed as ever.

"Headmaster Dumbledore did this to ensure that the Slytherin freshmen wouldn't fill up the infirmary," Chu Yang retorted without backing down. "If I were the only boy in Slytherin attending classes for a whole semester, it would damage the house's reputation."

Snape's face turned ashen; Chu Yang's sharp tongue always exceeded his expectations.

Having achieved his goal of infuriating Snape, Chu Yang didn't forget to give him a sweet treat: "Professor, I earned twenty points for Slytherin today, making up for the points that were deducted before."

"Should I congratulate you?" Snape scoffed, his expression softening considerably. He turned and strode towards the spiral staircase. "Come with me, I'll take you to your new dorm. But I must warn you beforehand, don't get into any more conflicts with your roommates!"

Chu Yang followed closely behind Snape, smiling politely, "I promise, as long as he doesn't provoke me, I definitely won't take action."

Snape pretended not to hear his promise, as if he hadn't said anything at all.

Double rooms in Slytherin are generally reserved for upperclassmen and are located close to the prefect's room.

Similar to the single room provided for the prefect, the double rooms also have private bathrooms, so you don't have to share them with anyone else.

The double room is very spacious, equivalent to two people sharing the space of six.

Two large beds, one on the left and one on the right, each occupy a spot by the window.

Chu Yang smiled with satisfaction. Although sharing a room with someone made him a little awkward, the space was large enough that he could basically ignore the other person's presence.

“This will be your new room from now on. I hope you will stay here obediently. I don’t want to have to change your room a second time this semester.” Snape asked, squinting his eyes. “I hope you understand what I mean, Mr. Chu Yang.”

"I've received enough warnings today, Professor Snape." Chu Yang's previous polite attitude vanished, replaced by a cold reply: "Good night!"

Snape snorted and turned to leave. He had originally wanted to ask in detail about the accident that happened during today's flight lesson, but Chu Yang's attitude made him give up the idea.

Snape admired Chu Yang quite a bit, firstly because of Chu Yang's exceptional learning ability, and secondly because of Chu Yang's courage and composure far beyond his peers.

Having taught for so many years, Snape had never seen an 11-year-old child who could engage in a verbal exchange with the professor with such composure and confidence as Chu Yang, and still hold his own.

Strangely enough, even though he admired Chu Yang so much, Snape was still easily provoked by him. Besides his sharp words, Snape also sensed an arrogance that surpassed that of wizards from Chu Yang's attitude.

It was as if he himself was far more noble than beings like wizards!

Snape found this both perplexing and annoying.

Snape was unaware that part of Chu Yang's superiority stemmed from his own cheat-like abilities.

The other part comes from his understanding of the future of the non-magical world.

Don't be fooled by the current high status of wizards; their glory will eventually become history. Modern science is developing at a speed that wizards cannot comprehend.

However, the development of the magical world has stagnated for many years, and coupled with the outdated ideas of most wizards, everything exudes a sense of decay.

Chapter 47 Chu Yang's New Roommate

After Snape left, the room felt empty. Chu Yang released the owl from its cage and started feeding it extra food. "Big white fat, eat more. If we ever run into trouble, you'll have to grow a lot of meat as a reserve food."

The owl, which was engrossed in its meal, trembled and silently pulled its head out of the pile of food.

Chu Yang smiled knowingly after successfully pulling off the prank.

Exhausted, he collapsed onto the bed, his eyes closing without him even realizing it. He didn't know how much time had passed when he faintly heard someone talking.

“Goyle, Crabbe, although I missed the Sorting Ceremony this time because I was sick, my father specially arranged a double room for me so that I could rest well. He also said that he would come to the school in person to cause trouble for Dumbledore!”

"When the time comes, I will definitely make my father clean up those monsters in the lake!"

"There's someone sleeping here, looks like my roommate, let's go say hello..."

As soon as he finished speaking, Chu Yang opened his eyes and saw Malfoy and the other two standing stiffly in front of him, staring at him in disbelief.

"So, you're my new roommate?" Chu Yang, still half-asleep, said impatiently, "You guys were disturbing my sleep, you know that?"

"I'm sorry!" Gore and Crabbe bowed at a ninety-degree angle in unison to apologize.

Malfoy's family background was indeed remarkable.

But Chu Yang was also a formidable fighter at school, and both of them were well aware of this.

"You two cowards, why are you so respectful to him?" Malfoy, who had just returned from the school hospital, was full of energy, clearly unaware of how dangerous his situation was.

At this moment, Chu Yang had been completely awakened by his loud voice and was sitting on the bed, staring at him with an unfriendly expression.

"Draco, there's something I haven't had a chance to tell you yet..." Goyle whispered in Malfoy's ear, recounting the exciting stories Malfoy had missed in the past two days.

As he listened, Malfoy's expression changed drastically. His previous arrogance vanished, and he asked with disbelief, "Are you kidding me? How could he possibly defeat so many people by himself with his bare hands?"

Goyle and Crabbe shook their heads in unison, with Goyle adding, "Draco, you'd better believe..."

Malfoy wanted to say something more, but Chu Yang, who was sitting on the bed, took a bookmark from the book, wrapped it with Armament Haki, and threw it out.

The bookmark shot out of Chu Yang's hand like a cannonball and landed steadily on the door frame above the heads of the three people opposite him.

Most of the bookmark disappeared into the wooden door frame like slices of tofu.

Malfoy's pupils suddenly contracted, and Goyle and Crabbe cried out in alarm. The three of them held hands and retreated step by step towards the door in fear.

"Sorry, I'm a bit grumpy when I wake up." Chu Yang sat on the bed, looking at him with a half-smile, and said, "What are you standing there for? Come in and go to sleep, it's so late!"

After saying that, he turned to Gore and Crabbe and said, "What? Are you two planning to stay and sleep here too?"

Upon hearing this, the two large, fat men immediately abandoned the trembling Malfoy beside them, turned and ran without hesitation, disappearing through the door in the blink of an eye.

"You two damned traitors!" Malfoy was both shocked and furious. He wanted to run, but he had no strength at all, and his legs felt as heavy as if they were filled with lead.

A sudden chill ran down his spine, and Malfoy's breathing quickened. His voice trembled with emotion as he said, "I'm so sorry to have disturbed your sleep..."

“I accept your apology, Mr. Malfoy.” Chu Yang yawned and lay back down. “I hope you won’t wake me up again. It would be best if you didn’t make a sound at all. I’m a very light sleeper.”

Malfoy looked up at the bookmark deeply embedded in the door frame, swallowed hard, and then covered his throat in horror.

He noticed that even in a quiet, empty room, the sound of swallowing became very noticeable.

Even though Chu Yang said he could come in and sleep, Malfoy didn't dare to stay in the same room as Chu Yang. He tiptoed out and made sure to close the door behind him.

Poor Malfoy, he spent his first night out of the school hospital in the common room.

Fortunately, no one was fighting him for the sofa, and the fireplace in the lounge wouldn't go out.

In the flickering firelight, Malfoy curled up on the sofa and fell into a deep sleep.

The next day, Malfoy awoke to a burst of incomprehensible laughter.

He opened his eyes and found himself surrounded by classmates, including upperclassmen.

even……

Professor Snape, the Head of Slytherin House, was standing right in front of him!

"Wow! I only came to check just in case, I didn't expect there would actually be guests in the common room last night!" Snape said in a deep voice, displeased. "Are first-years so fond of this common room? And even fighting over who gets to sleep there?"

"Stand up, Malfoy!"

Hearing Snape's roar, Malfoy shuddered, his drowsiness vanished instantly, and he scrambled off the sofa in a flurry.

The laughter around him grew louder until Snape's gloomy gaze swept across the room.

The students then lowered their heads and quickly left the lounge.

A disheveled Malfoy scrambled to his feet, not forgetting to tidy his hair, and then respectfully said, "Good morning, Professor Snape."

"Good morning? I don't think so!" Snape said angrily. "Your classmates slept in the common room all night, not only completely abandoning Slytherin etiquette but also causing the house to lose points on the first day of school!"

"And now you're doing it again?" Snape's voice echoed in Malfoy's ears like a storm in a valley. "May I ask what would happen if your father saw you behaving like this at school?"

Malfoy trembled and immediately pleaded in a low voice, "Professor, please don't let my father know, he'll kill me..."

Snape saw Malfoy's fear and breathed a sigh of relief. "Now tell me, why are you sleeping here?"

Malfoy hesitated for a moment, but under Snape's sharp gaze, he stammered out the story of what had happened the night before.

"A small piece of paper, without any magical aid, embedded itself in the door frame like a knife?" Snape scoffed dismissively. "Mr. Malfoy, are you telling a story?"

"Perhaps I should help you submit your work to the Daily Prophet or the Quibbler, Mr. Draco Malfoy, the great novelist!"

Malfoy cried, feeling wronged, and whispered, "Professor, I didn't lie. Goyle and Crabbe both saw it!"

Now it was Snape's turn to be skeptical.

Is it really possible that something this absurd is true?
