The three immediately stopped and listened intently. Sure enough, a series of low, whistling sounds came from afar, as if some large creature was approaching.

"Did you hear that?" Xiao Shi asked nervously.

“I heard it,” Su Ting said, frowning. “This sound sounds even fiercer than the beast last time. We need to be careful.”

Amu tightened his grip on the longsword: "No matter what it is, we have to be prepared."

They cautiously approached the direction from which the sound came, finally reaching an open area. There stood a huge, wolf-like creature, its eyes fixed on them fiercely. Its fur was jet black, its eyes gleamed green, and its muscles bulged, exuding a powerful and intimidating aura.

Chapter 861 Don't Let It Discover Us

"This is..." Xiao Shi swallowed hard in horror.

"Be careful, don't let it spot us," Su Ting whispered a warning.

However, the wolf-like creature had already noticed their presence. It suddenly let out a deafening roar and pounced on them with its blood-red maw wide open.

"Scatter!" Su Ting shouted, swinging his sword to meet the attack.

The three quickly dispersed, each seeking cover. Su Ting confronted the wolf-like creature head-on, using his agility to dodge and find opportunities to attack. Amu, on the other hand, attempted to flank the enemy from the side, trying to attack from another direction.

Xiao Shi stood aside, watching the battle unfold nervously. He knew his strength was limited, but he still tried his best to think of ways to help his companions.

"There's a rock here!" Little Stone suddenly spotted a sharp rock, quickly picked it up, and threw it forcefully at the wolf-like creature.

The stone struck the wolf-like creature's leg, not fatally, but it brought it to a temporary halt. Taking advantage of the moment, Su Ting leaped up, his longsword plunging into its abdomen, blood gushing forth. Amu swiftly followed up with another strike, piercing the wolf-like creature's heart.

"Phew, this big guy is really tough to deal with." Su Ting panted, wiping the sweat from his face.

"Thanks to your strike, Xiao Shi, otherwise we would have had to put in a lot more effort." Amu gave Xiao Shi an approving look.

Xiao Shi smiled somewhat embarrassedly: "I just happened to see that stone."

The three cleaned up the battlefield briefly and then continued on their way. Soon after, they came to a relatively open area and discovered an abandoned hunter's hut. Su Ting decided to go inside to see if there was anything they could use.

"Let's go inside and take a look." Su Ting pushed open the door and walked into the house.

The house was empty, but it contained many useful supplies—food, a kettle, some tools, and medicine. Su Ting began to sort through the items, while Amu and Xiao Shi searched around, hoping to find some clues.

“Here’s a map,” Xiao Shi said, holding up a yellowed piece of paper. “It has some markings on it, which seem to have been left by some explorers.”

Su Ting took the map and examined it carefully: "This is very helpful to us. It seems we can avoid a lot of detours."

“Let’s take these supplies and keep going,” Amu suggested.

The three left the hut with their supplies and embarked once again on their journey to the Arctic Plains. The sun gradually set, and darkness fell.

"Let's camp here tonight; we still have a long way to go tomorrow," Su Ting said.

They found a flat grassy area nearby, lit a campfire, and pitched their tents. Night fell, and the stars filled the sky. Su Ting sat by the campfire, took out the map again, and examined it carefully.

“We’ve already traveled quite a distance, and at this pace, we should reach the edge of the Arctic tomorrow,” Su Ting said.

“We will face even more challenges tomorrow,” Amu warned. “The closer we get to our destination, the greater the danger will be.”

“I understand,” Su Ting nodded. “We need to remain vigilant, but we can’t be overly tense.”

"It's my turn to keep watch tonight, you all get some rest," Xiao Shi said voluntarily.

“Okay, thank you, Xiao Shi,” Su Ting smiled. “We’ll continue tomorrow, so please take care of yourself.”

"Don't worry, I'll be careful," Xiao Shi said firmly.

The next morning, they set off again, continuing their journey towards the Arctic. Dangers remained in the forest, but their resolve was stronger than ever.

There seems to be some movement at the beginning of Chapter 862.

“We will definitely succeed,” Su Ting said firmly.

“Yes, no matter what difficulties we encounter, we must persevere to the end,” Amu replied.

“That’s right, we will find the last fragment of the Silver Moon Tear,” Xiao Shi said firmly.

Just as they continued forward, Xiao Shi suddenly stopped and looked ahead with a solemn expression.

"What's wrong?" Su Ting asked, puzzled.

"There seems to be some movement ahead," Xiao Shi said in a low voice.

The three immediately became alert and quietly approached a patch of grass ahead. Through the grass, they saw several blurry figures.

"Is it human?" Amu asked in a low voice.

“They look like other explorers,” Su Ting analyzed.

"What should we do?" Xiao Shi asked.

"Let's observe them first and see if they are friendly," Su Ting said thoughtfully.

Just as they were discussing, the figures seemed to have noticed them. One of the tall men walked over slowly, a slight smile on his face.

"Friends, are you also here to search for the fragments of the Silver Moon Tear?" the man asked.

“Yes, that’s right.” Su Ting nodded slightly, trying to remain calm. “We’re heading to the Arctic Plains. Are you heading there too?”

The man nodded. "Yes, so are we. I'm Caster, and these are my companions, Rena and Jeff." He gestured to the two people behind him.

Rena is a lithe woman with a longbow on her back and sharp eyes; Jeff is a burly man with a huge battle axe in his hand and a simple, honest smile on his face.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you all,” Castor continued. “In this dangerous place, it’s always better to have one more ally than one less.”

“That’s true,” Su Ting replied, then introduced himself, Amu, and Xiao Shi.

"How did you get here?" Rena asked curiously.

“We came by following a map,” Su Ting explained. “We’ve traveled quite a distance and will reach the edge of the Arctic tomorrow.”

Castor nodded. "Then let's go together. We can help each other and look out for one another."

“Good idea,” Amu agreed. “We do need more power.”

So the two groups merged and continued on their way. They passed through a dense forest and came to a wide river.

“We have to cross this river,” Caster said, “but the current is strong, so we have to be careful.”

"Is there any other way to get around it?" Xiao Shi asked.

“As far as I know, this is the fastest route,” Su Ting replied. “Taking a detour might waste more time.”

“Then let’s cross the river quickly,” Jeff said. “I’ll go first and see how the water is.”

With that, Jeff rolled up his sleeves and jumped into the river. His body rose and fell in the water as he swam steadily forward.

"Jeff is a real hero," Amu exclaimed.

“We can’t let our guard down,” Rena cautioned. “The river may be fraught with danger.”

Sure enough, just as they were about to cross the river, several huge fish-like creatures suddenly emerged from the river, their gaping maws agape as they lunged at Jeff.

"Jeff, watch out!" Su Ting shouted, immediately drew his sword, and jumped into the river.

Jeff reacted quickly, raising his battle axe and striking a fish-like creature head-on. Sutin joined the battle, fighting alongside Jeff.

Chapter 863 Thank goodness you were here

On the shore, Reina nocked an arrow, drew her bow, and aimed at the fish-like creature's eye before firing. Amu and Xiaoshi also picked up their weapons, ready to provide support at any moment.

“Hang in there, Jeff!” Sutton shouted.

After a fierce battle, they finally repelled the fish-like creatures. Jeff and Suting returned to shore, soaking wet but unharmed.

“That was close,” Amu said. “Thank goodness you were here, Jeff.”

"Haha, it's no big deal," Jeff said with a simple, honest laugh.

"We need to cross the river quickly, it's getting dark," Rena reminded them.

Together, they built a makeshift raft and successfully crossed the river. Once ashore, they found a secluded cave to use as their campsite.

At night, the campfire roared, and the warm firelight shone on everyone's faces.

“We’ll take turns keeping watch tonight,” Su Ting suggested, “two hours each, to ensure safety.”

“No problem.” Amu nodded in agreement.

“I’ll be the first to keep watch,” Castor said. “I’m used to staying up late, so you can rest first.”

“Thank you, Caster,” Suttin said gratefully.

“You’re welcome,” Castor said with a smile. “We’re a team, and we should help each other.”

As night fell, everyone except Custer, who was on night watch, drifted off to sleep. The stars twinkled in the night sky, as if watching over these brave explorers.

“We must reach the Arctic Plains safely,” Castor muttered to himself, “to find the fragments of the Silver Moon Tear and complete our mission.”

Meanwhile, in the distant forest, a pair of green eyes gleamed in the darkness, seemingly watching the group of adventurers silently.

The next morning, as the first rays of sunlight pierced through the mist and fell on the grass outside the cave, Castor gently woke up his still-sleeping teammates.

"Get up, friends. We need to get going."

Su Ting quickly got up and tidied his gear. "How did you sleep last night?"
