Seeing He Lixue acting as the host of the house made Lin Xiulan grit her teeth angrily, her eyes were full of unwillingness to accept reality.

But her mood had been turbulent recently; she was willing to do anything to get Lu Nanfeng, even using underhanded means. 

Since she could not get Lu Nanfeng in normal ways, she had decided to cheat his family into accepting her first. When they had forced the two of them into marriage, then Lu Nanfeng would have to accept his lot in life. 

So, she held some papers tightly in her hand, papers she thought would change everything, doc.u.ments she had spent a fortune getting made. 

Lin Xiulan was unwilling to begin her drama before Lu Nanfeng returned home, and Master Lu and Di Zhiqing were too embarrassed to talk to her about the matter. 

As such, a few hours went by in awkward silence before Lu Nanfeng stepped through the door. Looking at the group of people that were waiting inside the house for him, Lu Nanfeng frowned. 

"What is happening here?" He asked with a frown. But now that Lu Nanfeng was back, Lin Xiulan had no interest in holding back her, in her eyes, masterful plan. 

"Brother Nanfeng, I have some wonderful news for you," Lin Xiulan said, an expectant smile on her face. "We are having a baby!"

How shameless did Lin Xiulan have to be to say that she was pregnant with his child? They had not been dating for more than a year already, so did she really think that Lu Nanfeng was the man who had touched her when he was so disgusted with her? 

He Lixue smiled mockingly at Lin Xiulan and shook her head. She was eager to show off, and the papers that proved she was pregnant were lying in front of Master Lu and Di Zhiqing.

"I think you have misunderstood something," Lu Nanfeng said, his eyes were cold and ruthless as he looked at Lin Xiulan. 

"I have never touched you. When we were together, we never overstepped that boundary, and after you cheated on me, do you really think that I will return to sleep with you? 

"Not to mention that I am with He Lixue, I will never be a person who lets her down, so how can I possibly be the parent of your child?"

Lin Xiulan had expected that Lu Nanfeng would decline, so she shook her head and looked extremely sad. 

"It was that time when Miss He was away. You were drunk and confused. I just wanted to cheer you up, but suddenly it happened, and now you want not to take responsibility?" 

He Lixue looked at the papers and raised an eyebrow. So it had happened a month and a half, according to Lin Xiulan? 

"Miss He, I understand that you love Lu Nanfeng, but exactly because you love him, you should not be able to see his child living without a father. I can see that I might be asking for a lot, but can you please stop hanging on to him and let him return to my side? Our child is already in my stomach for more than a month; you must understand this."

"Brother Nanfeng already said that he did not touch you," He Lixue said with a shrug of her shoulders. "When you give birth to the child, and it turns out that it is, in fact, Brother Nanfeng's child, then I don't mind raising it for you."

Lin Xiulan paled. Things were not as easy as she had expected. "I will never give my child up to anyone!" she sneered, but He Lixue just shrugged.

"Lu Nanfeng has said that he never touched you, and you have cheated on him before. It is hard to trust in your words. In fact, this report might just be your trick of trying to get Nanfeng back," He Lixue continued. 

Her words caused Lin Xiulan to tremble, and even Di Zhiqing was distressed, but looking at her husband, she dared not stand out to help her. 

"Why don't we go to the hospital then?" Di Zhiqing dared not insult He Lixue, but she truly trusted Lin Xiulan, and thought that she was not lying. That Lu Nanfeng had truly been drunk and made Lin Xiulan pregnant. 

Hearing Di Zhiqing's words, which were meant to speak up for her, but actually put her in a tight spot, Lin Xiulan frowned and felt that things were not going well. 

"No need," she said with a sigh and shook her head with sadness. "Since Brother Nanfeng is unwilling to accept our child, I will go and have an abortion tomorrow."

He Lixue smiled cruelly when she heard this and looked at Lin Xiulan with cold eyes. "Why would you do that?" she asked. "Let us go to the hospital and see the child first."

"What do you mean, see the child?" Lin Xiulan was beginning to panic, and the others noticed it. Even the ever-dense Di Zhiqing could not help but frown. 

"Well, although not much can be seen, we can have a scan made, so that we can see the beginning of the child in your belly. I mean, while it is true that you have some doc.u.ments here, I just cannot trust in you. Who knows what tricks you might use to try and rekindle your romance with my man.

"And even if you are pregnant, who knows what wild man is the father of your child? Maybe you grabbed some random man for the sake of framing my Nanfeng?" He Lixue was not giving her any face at all, and Lin Xiulan was both fearful and angry. How could He Lixue be so distrustful?
