Hearing what Lu Nanfeng said, He Lixue's face flushed red in embarrassment. She was not usually embarrassed any longer, but this sentence was simply too provocative. 

"I am still young," she said evasively. "I want to graduate from university before we have a child, not to mention you have to wait another few years before we can get married. I do not want our child to be born outside of marriage."

Lu Nanfeng was not actually thinking about them creating a little human already, but hearing that she was so certain about when and how, his heart melted in happiness. She had actually thought of a future together for the two of them.

"Don't worry," Lu Nanfeng smiled, "I will wait until you are older with getting you pregnant. Although I would love to see the crystallization of our love, I understand that it has to wait a bit longer. I want us to enjoy our life with just the two of us for now."

He Lixue was shy as she nodded her head, before she cleared her throat. "Begin eating," she said, and Lu Nanfeng grinned as he nodded his head, "Yes, Ma'am!" 

The meal was eaten in silence, both of them were feeling the peaceful tranquility settle in their home, but across the city, in the Lin family, things were much less calm.

The loud sound of a slap resounded in the sitting room, as master Lin hit his beloved daughter with a lot of strength. Instantly, five fingers appeared on her cheek, and a small trail of blood flowed from the corner of her lips. 

"Such an idiotic daughter!" he roared, his body trembling with anger. "You were a match made in heaven with Lu Nanfeng. The two of you would have been married due to Madam Lu liking you, but you destroyed the relationship with Lu Nanfeng single handedly by cheating on him.

"At least at that point Di Zhiqing still liked you, but now you pulled such a stupid stunt. Do you really think that Di Zhiqing will protect you like she did in the past?

"It is clear that she won't! You have killed every chance you had for marrying into the Lu family, and now our family will likely face the wrath of He Lixue!"

"She is just a shameless hoof!" Lin Xiulan was not at all repenting for the actions she had made. "She has seduced my fiance, and made him forget about me. I had to do something to make him return to my side, and you are useless, saying that we just have to wait and see!"

Master Lin was frowning before he sighed. "Lin Xiulan, one thing is not regretting one's own actions; another is to be a complete idiot. What you are doing is simply unacceptable for all, and you have dragged our family into the problem alongside you. 

"It is true that we wanted you to marry Lu Nanfeng, but you did something wrong first, and thus you need to accept the consequences that come with it.

"Things might have worked out, as Di Zhiqing liked you, but when everything comes down to it, it is Lu Nanfeng who is getting married, not Di Zhiqing.

"As long as he is against marrying you, you will never become madam Lu. I think you have forgotten that the current Madam Lu is only able to be spoiled because Master Lu allows her to act this way.

"Now master Lu is back. Perhaps if you had gotten his approval as well, then you would have been able to marry Lu Nanfeng, but it is clear that he has cast his approval on this Miss He. 

"Even if you see her as a little hoof, as you so elegantly called her, she is now Lu Nanfeng's girlfriend, and the two of them seem to be in a loving relationship.

"I have raised you long enough to tell you to be upright and honest, but you have let me down time and time again. Not only did you let me down, but you also let Lu Nanfeng down. 

"You cheated on him, and thus you had to accept the consequences, but you refused to give up, and now you have lost all face for our family, I dare not tell anyone that you are my daughter, because they will ask how on earth I managed to raise you."

Lin Xiulan was angry. She had come home and complained about what had happened, but instead of an understanding family, she had been scolded by her father.

The rest of the family was silent. Some gloated over Lin Xiulan's misfortune, while others felt their hearts ache for her. 

Even so, no one dared step forward to interfere. They knew that this was something that might cause their entire family to collapse. 

But currently, He Lixue and Lu Nanfeng had no time to deal with the Lin family. They were busy deepening their relationship, and the only thing they had in their eyes was each other. 

But that did not mean that they had forgotten or forgiven the Lin family. Lu Nanfeng was planning on dealing with them the following week, as to how harsh he would be, that depended on how stubborn the Lin family was on protecting Lin Xiulan. 

Lu Nanfeng did not want her to come up with other troubles for them, and so he wanted to send her overseas. If the Lin family accepted his offer, he would not make them too ashamed, but if they did not, then he did not mind fighting it out with them. 

He had earned a lot from the fight with the Organization. At first, he had thought that he had needed to spend a lot of money to overcome them, but instead, the Fenghuang Group had swallowed up multiple businesses and expanded rapidly. 

Now he could use the money he had earned to let He Lixue breathe out and vent the anger caused by Lin Xiulan.
