Chapter 55: If Her True Identity Was Exposed

The tavern’s door was pushed open, and a dozen bodyguards in black stormed in to surround him.

Now that he had gained the upper hand, Young Master Mu ran in front of Ji Anan as he gloated, “This scumbag had the nerve to play the hero in front of me. Now, I’ll give him a taste of what it’s like to go against me.”

Ji Anan pursed her lips. She didn’t want to drag Beiming Shaoxi into this mess. What was she supposed to do, tell Grandfather about the situation?

Ji Anan, shell-shocked, had a blank expression on her face.

“Young Master Beiming, are you alright?” Upon hearing the commotion from the brawl, the manager had rushed over just in time to witness the scene.

Young Master Mu was even more astonished, and his entire body started to tremble.

Beiming Shaoxi felt at the back of his head with his hand and received a handful of dripping blood.

“You were hit by the hot lady. It had nothing to do with me.” Mu Shao quickly diverted the blame from himself.

Beiming Shaoxi turned around, and his glacial eyes stared right at Ji Anan.

She opened her eyes wide, lifted up her dress, and resisted the urge to kick Young Master Mu. “Go away!”

“We’re all going away.”

Young Master Mu shrunk into a ball and literally started to roll away. “Young Master Beiming, I’ll deliver my apology in person some other day…”

All the bodyguards followed their master’s lead and rolled on the floor in different directions.

Ji Anan’s palms were sweating. She stared at Beiming Shaoxi’s impassive face and winked coquettishly. “Are you alright? I didn’t do it on purpose.”

“…”

“Your head is bleeding… Your forehead is bleeding, as well…”

Ji Anan regretted what she had done. Why had she had to bring herself trouble by bashing him in the head with a vase?

How much would this accident cost her? This rental cost of this gown already threatened to empty her bank account.

“Do you want me to call an ambulance right now?”

“There’s no need.”

“You’re so kind… May the lord bless you. Bye, I’m leaving—”

Ji Anan frantically tried to leave, but he suddenly grabbed her small wrist.
