Chapter 53: Enhancing Their Relationship as a Married Couple

Watching a live telecast of a launch under these circumstances made Song Wenxin feel especially disheartened.

As though he could feel the bubbling resentment within Song Wenxin that was about to explode, Jiang Beihan suddenly raised his head from the documents that he had been reviewing and glanced at her.

“You look like you have something to say to me,” he commented, eyebrows raised.

Subconsciously, Song Wenxin had wanted to nod in agreement. But, of course, with much difficulty, she had made it to her first-ever launch only to be made to watch it through the TV; how could she not have an opinion?!

Then, just as Song Wenxin was halfway through her fervent nod, she suddenly noticed Jiang Beihan’s dark eyes radiating a cold chill and froze.

“Don’t you think that watching the launch in here is really unnecessary?” Song Wenxin ranted, annoyed.

Since they were already here, at the venue, why did they have to watch the launch on the TV in here?

She made it clear that she could not understand Jiang Beihan’s logic for this.

“What you are saying is, that my taking you to the launch is an unnecessary act?” Jiang Beihan asked with a frown.

“Well, you said it yourself. I have not said anything like that,” Song Wenxin replied, lips pursed.

Jiang Beihan’s face froze. Darn it, he had taken the time to accompany her to the launch, and here she was, complaining that it was not necessary?

“All right, then. Since you feel that watching the live telecast of the launch here would be boring, how about we do something else, instead?” Suddenly, Jiang Beihan gave a brusque laugh, and, throwing away the documents in his hands, he lurched abruptly toward Song Wenxin.

Startled, Song Wenxin shrunk back immediately.

“What are you planning to do?” she demanded to know, looking at him, wide-eyed.

“What do you think I want to do?” Jiang Beihan asked, his eyes narrowed, and his cool, handsome face suddenly displaying a devilish charm.

In the next instant, he extended his hands swiftly and looked like he was about to take off his suit!

“You… don’t behave inappropriately… otherwise, if Shangguan finds out…” Song Wenxin turned pale in shocked panic, her face turning red instantly.

Seeing his face slowly edging toward hers, Song Wenxin recalled vividly the kiss that they had previously shared, that familiar scent promptly sending her heart beating uncontrollably at rapid speed.

Surely, he was not planning to do anything to her?

But he was not interested in women… and, moreover, he already had a lover in Shangguan.

“What will he find out?” Seeing her in that state of fear, Jiang Beihan raised his eyebrows and asked, pretending to be curious.

While the red-faced Song Wenxin was still thinking of an appropriate response, Jiang Beihan had already taken off his suit jacket and thrown it to one side.

“Oh, my shoulders are aching!” he complained in a mild tone as he suddenly sat, upright and proper, on the sofa.

“What?” Seeing his sudden behavioral swing from one extreme to another, Song Wenxin was once again shocked.

Had they not just been discussing his relationship between Shangguan and him? What did it have to do with his shoulders?

“Give me a massage!” Jiang Beihan, now sitting upright and proper on the sofa, turned to look at her and ordered.

Again, Song Wenxin froze at his words.

So, the reason why he had taken off his jacket earlier was for her to give him a massage?

Earlier, she had nearly made the mistake of assuming that his actions had meant something else. At that moment, Song Wenxin’s mood instantly became complex.

Without knowing the reason why, her sudden thought of Shangguan at that moment left her feeling, illogically, a sense of guilt toward him.

She was not one of his servants at home. Also, she had never given anyone a massage, so she had no clue how it was done.

“Then learn!” he responded matter-of-factly.
