Hogwarts: I am Voldemort

Chapter 40 Hogwarts Library

"Quirrell, you look like a troll."

Flitwick said sharply, "Why are you so hungry?"

"I was hungry in the middle of the night and had nothing to eat. I have survived until now. I think I can swallow a cow now." Voldemort said while chewing the meat pie with dark circles under his eyes.

"Where's your house elf? Why didn't you ask him to bring you some food?" Flitwick asked doubtfully.

Voldemort was slightly shocked, but he did not dare to show it, so he quickly pretended to be choked and at the same time awakened Quirrell in his mind.

"Cough cough cough..."

During the break of coughing, he learned the relevant information from Quirrell - every professor will have a house elf who serves him full-time, and Quirrell had one before him.

"Yes, Vada."

Voldemort took a sip of water and said, "I haven't had time to tell him that I'm back. I'll go find him later."

Flitwick didn't suspect anything, he just said: "You should have done that a long time ago."

"Indeed."

Voldemort agreed and looked forward, just in time to see two red-haired students walking past - their appearance was exactly the same, which was rare in Hogwarts.

"The Weasley brothers." Flitwick followed Voldemort's gaze and said, "They are a pair of naughty children. Filch complained to me a lot."

Voldemort smiled and nodded, but his eyes specifically glanced at the parchment in the hands of the two of them - each of them was holding one side and looking at something on it carefully.

"Teenage children are all naughty, except Laventlawn." Voldemort looked back and said with a smile.

"Yes, hahaha, I saw the homework you left for Laventlaw's senior class. It's very good. It will make them learn to think."

As the headmaster of Eagle Academy, Flitwick never hesitates to praise his students.

"Of course, I've put some thought into this."

After Voldemort finished speaking, he began to focus on the food, he was indeed starving.

This day's class is all for fifth grade students.

Because these students had to take the Ordinary Wizarding Level Examination at the end of the term, Voldemort gave them individual lessons and the lesson plans were quite detailed.

Unlike other grades, he will leave a lot of test papers for fifth grade students. This is to help them pass exams, papers and practical content, which Voldemort will try to minimize.

This made the entire fifth grade Defense Against the Dark Arts class extremely boring. Throughout the day, students from the four colleges were full of complaints:

"Learning spells? Senior, that's impossible. The professor has been giving lectures..."

"There are thirteen pages in my notebook, and each page is filled with words..."

"You would never have imagined that Professor Quirrell actually used one class to take us to review the entire first-grade knowledge points. It's so pitiful that my head was covered after the class..."

Boring Professor Quirrell, this is Voldemort's new nickname. Even the Eagle Academy students, who are known for their wisdom, are overwhelmed by his countless knowledge points.

After a busy day, Voldemort did not drag his tired body to rest. Instead, he chose to walk into the library on the second floor of Hogwarts after evening classes.

He is a frequent visitor here and has been coming every day since the beginning of school.

"Quirrell, what book are you looking for today?"

It was only the third time they met, but Mrs. Pince was deeply impressed by him - not because of Quirrell, but because she was disturbed by Voldemort on the first day back.

"Everything about the Repair Spell, Madam Pince, I need your help." In order to save time, Voldemort chose to ask the librarian for help.

"Do you want to study this spell?" Mrs. Pince said, pointing to an area, "They are all there. I remember there are several books specifically about this spell."

Voldemort noted the location and asked in a low voice: "Is there any relevant content in the forbidden book area? I think the books there will be more advanced."

Mrs. Pince was not too surprised. Books in the restricted area were very dangerous to students, but not so threatening to professors, especially banned books on life.

"I want to check the book list. There are very few banned books on life."

As she spoke, she took out a black-covered notebook from under her desk and started reading it quickly.

While waiting, Voldemort turned back and glanced at this luxurious library:

The red-carpeted hall is filled with long polished wooden tables. Students sit there in a staggered manner, and rows of bookshelves are placed behind them.

Above the hall, there are dazzling stars, which look like the night sky outside. This is a dome that can constantly change.

Voldemort took a deep breath, as if he could smell the unique fragrance of books - being a professor is worse than being a librarian.

While I was imagining, my eyes were attracted by a small figure...

It was a lower-grade girl with messy long brown hair and eye-catching protruding front teeth. She was holding a book and walking quickly towards the desk.

The threesome haven't gathered together yet... Voldemort thought, slowly looking away.

"Found it, Professor Quirrell."

Mrs. Pince's voice sounded at the right time, "On the third bookshelf in the fifth row of the restricted book area, [The Secret of Time], this is its name. It is said that the content of this book is very bad."

Voldemort raised his eyebrows, [Secret of Time], this is a name that he likes.

"Thank you, Mrs. Pince."

After thanking him with a smile, Voldemort walked to the bookshelf. He did not go straight to the forbidden book area, but looked at the ordinary books first.

When he arrived at the designated area, he discovered that there were many books related to the repair spell. Half of the bookshelf was filled with content related to it.

Pull out the first book: [The repairing spell that makes Muggles drop their jaws].

After flipping through a few pages, Voldemort immediately put it back in its place...

This is actually a story about a wizard who used a repair spell to trick Muggles. The introduction also mentioned that the author of this book actually briefly entered Askaban because of this behavior.

Oh my god, is this a fool?

Then I flipped through the second book and found that it was still a storybook.

This guy didn't play tricks on Muggles, but he didn't look very smart either - he treated this magic as a magic trick and thrived in the Muggle circus.

"Who are these people..."

Voldemort couldn't help but curl his lips, he was defeated by these wizards' strong desire to express themselves.

The next few books were still not serious, but he still endured the complaints in his heart and read them one by one.

Finally, after a long time, some serious content appeared:

[The Broken Things of Repair Spells] records a large number of problems with repair spells.

[Rhythm of Restoration], a book that explains the repair spell in detail from the perspective of wand swinging.

[A tough-to-talk repair spell] records the repair spells from various countries and analyzes and describes their effects.

Voldemort didn't read any of them in detail, he just picked out the books that he thought were good, finally stacked them together, and carried them towards the depths of the library.

At the end of the line of sight, there is a dark area, which is the restricted book area. Students will intentionally avoid it - most students do not want to get close there.

Voldemort was not under any psychological pressure. Among the memories of the remnant soul, there were many messy memories of being in the forbidden book area - he had been a frequent visitor here since he was a child.

I don’t know if my walking Horcrux and my habit of entering forbidden book areas are influenced by me... Voldemort thought as he walked.

The next book is about a Hogwarts librarian, hahaha, what a great idea, working as a sweeper in the wizarding world.
