Chapter 1 – Back To Past (Part 1)

Hello, my name is Julia.

I am a girl with frizzy straw-colored hair and brown eyes, and full of freckles. I am a very ordinary girl, but one special thing is that I am back in the past.

I live in a Pelican village. Pelican Village is a small village in the forest. It’s pretty far from the capital. I lived in the capital when I was young, but after my mother died, I came to Pelican Village.

I live alone with my grandmother. My parents? My dad died when I was in my mother’s womb, and my mother killed herself when I was four or five. Don’t say you feel sorry for me. I hate being pitied the most!

What I’m good at is cooking. I’m especially confident in potato stew! The boy I like likes potato stew. That’s why I practiced hard.

What I can’t do is exercise. I’m the least athletic in my town. I am always the last one to finish a race. Asking me to exercise is like asking to break off relations.

I like potato stew. I like to cook, eat, and play with my friends the most in the world! I hate carrots. I hate carrots! I’d rather die than eat carrots.

My friends are Rachel and Isabella. Rachel braided her brown hair. Her eyes are so blue that they’re really pretty. Sometimes when I look into her eyes, I feel refreshed as if I’m looking at the sky.

She is so good at drawing that the village elders say Rachel will become a painter in the future. I think so too. If she doesn’t become a painter, it would ruin her talent. She’s just as ordinary a girl as I am.

But Isabella is different. Isabella is a very special child.

She’s very pretty. Her pink hair looks sweet just by looking at her.She has eyes like golden jewels.

I’ve never seen such a nice and kind person as her. Isabella carried me down to the village when I hurt my leg in the woods.

Isabella doesn’t have a mother. Her father is the most competent pharmacist and doctor in town. Isabella wants to be just like her father in the future. So she has a very good knowledge of medicine and medicinal herbs.

Everyone in the village loves Isabella. I love her, too! But sometimes I hate her.

Finally, I want to talk about the boy I like.

Chase, a lovely boy with curly brown hair and red eyes.

Now that I think about it, I think I’ve been in love since I first saw him. When he was 12, Chase was abandoned by his parents and found off the cliff. He has been staying at Isabella’s house ever since.

He loves Isabella. That’s why I sometimes hate Isabella.

So what I want to say is…

I killed the boy I like today.

He asked me to kill him in the future.

I didn’t ask for it, but… What can I do? I wanted to fulfill the wishes of the person I love. I’m in a position of unrequited love. When it comes to love, he was an absolute abbreviation for love.
