Chapter 6: Thanos’ Thoughts! Towards the End

As his eyes adapted to the sunshine, Roco noticed a few figures watching the Sun.

The symbolic potato head and the burly back were striking. Roco was amused and got distracted at the sight.

“Mokuton?” Roco exclaimed. He confirmed if his eyes were seeing correctly.

“Tut.” The figures turned around all at once.

“Er …”

Roco was speechless. Being stared at by one purple potato was already maddening. Then what about being stared at by dozens of them.

Damn it!

“This magic is very interesting.”

Thanos smiled gently. Then, he stood up and waved.

The other potatoes seemed to have received some command. They pulled out their hoes and straw hats, heading for the fields.

It was an amazingly weird sight.

“What are you doing?”

“Working from dawn to dusk.”

Thanos’ lips curled slightly, much to Roco’s amazement,

“Er …”

“But … aren’t you afraid of the Avengers’ visit?”

Roco made a neck cutting gesture; his meaning was clear.

“Ha-ha!”

Thanos sneered and then confidently lifted his left hand.

Roco saw the Infinity Gauntlet, the most awesome treasure in this universe.

It had tremendously enhanced Thanos’ Strength

It was worth mentioning that Marvel abilities levels (from basic to advanced) were divided into Earth level, Heavenly Father, Single-Universe Level, Multi-Universe Level, Super-large universe Level, and All-round Universe Level.

The Earth level was described as the level of regular superheroes, such as Iron Man, Hulk, and Captain America in all parallel universes.

Heavenly Fathers, as the name implied, were creatures superior to those on earth.

Thanos, as the descendant of Chronos, had been at this level.

The remaining four levels were called ‘Universe Level’. Any superhero in these levels could easily destroy a planet.

Single Universe Level warriors were powerful enough to exterminate Heavenly Fathers. But, they were weak as ants in front of those at Multi-Universe level.

A superhero at the Multi-Universe Level could destroy a universe. With the Infinity’s Gauntlet’s power, Thanos could reach this level.

The existences above this level were unspoken of.

As mentioned before,Thanos could reach the Multi-universe level.

But he couldn’t maintain the level at all the time. In other words, his strength fluctuated.

Therefore, if Avengers really came now, the outcome would be uncertain.

Knowing this, Roco chose to ignore Thanos’ ostentation.

He offered Thanos a champagne and asked.

“What about another jar?”

“No.”

“Pardon?”

Roco stared at Thanos, who was drinking champagne. “But why?”

Thanos gently smiled and explained.

“I know you have a lot of good things, but I don’t have money.”

“Er … an equivalent exchange is also acceptable.”

Thanos gave him a stare and bluntly said, “So, that’s your target…”

He took a sip and added. “I… I have no idea what to do now.”

At first Roco couldn’t understand why Thanos was dejected.

However, after giving it a thought he found it natural.

When Thanos had thought his goal was finally achieved, changes had happened that made him feel at a loss.

Even if he destroyed the universe and reshaped civilization, there was no turning point.

The current Thanos was like a poor old man who had lost his love. He wasn’t sure about his path.

He could do nothing but wait for the Avengers to come and destroy his plan.

Of course, this was all but Roco’s hypothesis.

However his guesses were somewhat confirmed when he observed Thanos’ face.
