I Don’t Like The World, I Only Like You

When I first dated Mr. F, I did not have any confidence towards this relationship.

He is a very stubborn man. Each time we argued, I am always the one that took the initiative to apologize first.

Once, because of an argument he gave me cold shoulder for a week. In the end, I had to put down my pride and apologize to him, however he still ignored me.

Coincidentally at that moment, the radio in the car started to play Zhang Xuan’s song [Bao Bei], in the song there were these lyrics:

“My little devil, little devil

Teasing you about your look

To let you like this world.”

Then I said to him, “See! These lyrics are writing about you. You are like a kid who thinks the world is yours.”

I talked to myself for almost half a day, till my voice was getting softer and softer. I started to get more emotional, I felt so wronged. In my heart I was thinking, who cares if you give a damn, the worst it can come to is us breaking up.

The whole trip was silent till we stopped in front of my company. While I was preparing to get out of the car, he suddenly stopped me.

Facing downwards he muffled, “But… I don’t like this world, I only like you.”

Tears started to stream down my face.
