"Please." He begged. "Just talk to me."

I felt the tears form in my eyes, he didn't realize just how much he's hurt me. Just how much wrong he'd done to me.

"You still don't get it, do you?" I asked. "My life wasn't perfect but I still had somewhere I could call home, parents who would fight for me and fight to help build my future. Yet all of that was completely destroyed because of you! If your feelings were at least true, if you actually felt something, if you didn't have an ulterior motive then things would have been a lot better than it is now. But that isn't the case, you completely used me for your own selfish reasons! You made me fall for you, made me feel things for you I haven't once felt for anyone else before. You used that against me and ruined my life. And you know what, I can't even completely blame you because I'm at fault for trusting you and allowing myself for falling for someone like you . . . Everything my father said about you was true!"

He looked away from me at my words. I felt his grip on my arm loosen.

So now he couldn't look me in my face after what he'd done to me?

At least he should have the decency to face me!

"After all of that, rather than try to come clean yourself or at least be a decent human being and help me feel at home here after everything you've done to me. . . You go and distance yourself from me? You completely ignore me and on top of that disrespect me by being in the arms of another woman the day after our wedding? You have no shame!" I screamed at him. "I don't want anything to do with you Dante. Right now all I want to do is leave this place but I have to be rational. I'm forced to stay here but don't think even for a second that it's for you. I'm asking you, if you have any decency in you left. LEAVE ME ALONE."

When he couldn't respond, I wiped at the tears that had fallen to my cheeks and walked off without another word.

He doesn't even deserve my tears.

As I made my way inside I saw Mateo looking at me. "Uh, is everything okay?" He asked me.

Was he really asking me this? His entire family were in on a scam to trap me!

He scratched the back of his head. "I know things look really bad now Kyomi, but you don't have to think of yourself as an outsider." He promised me.

I didn't get it. They completely destroyed my life and yet they kept trying to be nice to me?

I didn't understand this family one bit!

I just nodded my head and walked pass him and straight into the bedroom. If I had any luck, Dante wouldn't bother even coming here tonight either . . . Just like he did on our wedding night.
