I Will Conquer The World!

The man was breathing in a slow and steady pace, almost like he was sleeping. Harry felt relieved. Rae commented, "He must've been exhausted and fell asleep as soon as the knowledge stopped forcing it's way through his body."

Harry nodded. He then asked, "Just what is up with that stabbing another injectable? Do they negate each other's effects or something?"

"Something like that, yes.", Rae agreed while nodding.

Catherine and John, who spectated all that happened, were utterly worried. The man was only shivering slightly for some time in the start, after which he began twitching violently, after which he fell on the floor and started twitching violently and white drool leaked out of his mouth.

John still had a glimmer of hope when he looked at the king's calm expression, but when the man started drooling from the mouth, the king had a slight change in expression that John noticed, which made him feel even more worried. 

When the king finally moved and stabbed the man in the neck with another injection, John had an instinctive urge to leap towards the king and stop him from doing it. He was going to, when Catherine stopped him.

John felt like a hundred ants were crawling through his body. He felt that uncomfortable when he saw his friend and companion suffer so much. What made him feel more uncomfortable was the fact that he couldn't do anything to stop his pain. He felt like he was the reason that the man was enduring the pain. After all, he was the one who brought them to the king.

He felt his heart lurch and nearly stop when the man stopped moving. He felt his head spin as if he would faint any second when the king turned the man's body and then had a relieved expression.

When John saw the relieved expression on the king's face, he realized that the man had survived and took a huge breath of relief.

Harry on the other hand was asking his system a question. "Hey system, why did the injectable not work on the man? I thought they were foolproof!"

Rae said with a helpless tone, "I never said they were foolproof! And how should I know?! Maybe his body just doesn't like other worldly knowledge forcing itself into itself!"

Harry facepalmed and said, "Oh lord. Why did you not grant this system more knowledge?"

Rae pouted intensely, making her cheeks swell and have a tinge of red, as she said, "Atleast I have a good attitude! You've gotta see my other seniors! They're all so solemn and formal and annoying!"
