Ice Prince: Rewrite The Star

Chapter 102 - Ch. 102 A Favor

While waiting for Chleo, busy drawing the designs, Max ordered Dietrich to investigate the missing drawings. Dietrich directly contacted the security department to check the CCTV camera on the designer department division I floor.

The CCTV camera caught the figure of Chleo storing the design drawing paper into Xavier's desk drawer, then came out with the drawer key and placed it on Mrs. Montgomery's work desk.

Everything went on as usual, and nothing suspicious until after office hours.

Even after viewing the video recording until nine o'clock in the evening, still, nothing had happened, and no one was coming in and out of Xavier and Mrs. Montgomery's office room.

However, the CCTV recording had issues suddenly precisely at ten o'clock, and the scene had immediately jumped ten minutes later mysteriously. No matter how much they tinkered with, they couldn't find what happened during those ten minutes.

"Is it possible that during those ten minutes, someone sneaked in and took the design?"

"It might be so." agreed Max.

"Should I contact our programmer? Maybe he can check and track down who hacked our security system."

"Yes. And tell him to strengthen our defense system. But don't do anything else. I just need proof that Chleo is innocent. I will ask Fye for help."

"Alright, I'll deal with it right away. But, X. How about the design? I still have some of the design files they submitted, but the craftsmen will need the original drawings."

"I have the solution. It will be finished soon."

"Ha? What do you mean?"

"You won't believe this. After you enjoy your date, come to my place. I'll show you something."

"Oh, okay." Dietrich suddenly felt awkward.

Max had never tired of warning him for as long as he could remember, ever since he dated Evangeline. Max didn't want him to be in a relationship with someone who lives far away.

There were various reasons that he explained at the time. Dietrich was a member of the Hammilton family and was very influential in England. On the other hand, Evangeline was an only daughter as well as the successor to the Bernz group engaged in the automotive field.

Both have great backgrounds and were on two different continents. If only Dietrich had fallen in love with an ordinary girl, things would have been easier. They could take the girl to Hammilton castle and raise her as a good wife and keep the identity of the blue king a secret.

Alas, Dietrich fell in love with Evangeline Bernz. Not only was the girl from one of America's most powerful men, but she was also daring. She was always outspoken and acted spontaneously without caring about the eventual consequences.

They would never be able to entrust the identity of the blue king to the girl even if one day Dietrich married her.

After giving Dietrich instruction, Max contacted Fye, who was now... who knows where.

"Fye, have you found him yet?"

"Of course not."

"Of course not? Isn't it because you are busy spending my fortune?" Max remembered he got a financial report from the person managing his finances that he had spent hundreds of millions of dollars in one day.

"Hahahaha. It's my payback because you took all my money."

"You mean your loot?"

"Aiya, it's up to you. Why did you contact me?"

"I have a favor. If you're willing to help me, I'll assume the card in your hand has disappeared."

"Oh, what a pleasure. Okay. What do you want me to help with?"

Max smiled in delight and explained what she needed to do.

After receiving Max's call, Fye called her 'wind' form friend to take her to the Daphnia Fashion building. Of course, she didn't forget to make his body invisible. Otherwise, everyone would be astonished or frightened to see her fly at such a high speed.

The violet king was just like the red king, who couldn't go anywhere fast, unlike the blue king who could teleport or the yellow king who could fly at will without getting tired. The violet king and the red king had to ask the wind for help to take them somewhere.

If it is not too urgent, they could use public transportation such as buses, taxis, trains, etc.

Fye went straight to the design department of Division I. She casually stepped into the office, which she assumed was the office of Mrs. Montgomery's assistant.

Fye looked around and found a CCTV camera strategically installed in the corner of the upper room. She closed her eyes to focus on her energy flow.

Right now, she couldn't use her time-rewinding skills or manipulate a human's memories. But at least she could see what had happened in this room.

Just as Fye opened her eyes, her originally brown eyes turned into brilliant purple color. There were no more people working around her. The lights had also been turned off, making the whole room pitch black.

Fye guessed that it was around ten o'clock right now, right when the CCTV camera had a problem, so it didn't record anything for the next ten minutes.

And sure enough. No need to wait long, the door to Xavier's private office opened, and someone entered. That's when Fye channeled some of her energy into a CCTV camera that someone might be hacking right now.

Fye couldn't make any changes to humans, but she could make changes to inanimate objects. If this camera is hacked by someone and deactivated for ten minutes, Fye could thwart that person and let this camera keep running, recording what happened.

After finishing her task, Fye relaxed her muscles, and in an instant, the room was bright again, and many people were active as she entered this building.

Casually, Fye walked out and called Max.

"Hey, X. You could recheck the CCTV camera last night. I've changed the fate of your beloved camera."

Max, who was on the other side, frowned at the violet king's last words. He just shook his head resignedly to the eccentricity of the dark blonde-haired woman.

What beloved camera?

"Dex, try checking the CCTV camera you saw earlier one more time. You can tell me the result when you come to see me." Nevertheless, he called Dietrich to order him to recheck the CCTV.

Then he turned off his phone because he no longer wanted to be disturbed. Right now, Max wanted to sit across from Chleo while enjoying the beautiful scenery in front of him.

He would never get tired of looking at Chleo's face. Surprisingly, he felt he had thought this way before. Max had the feeling he had watched the girl sleep for hours and not get bored. But he couldn't remember where Chleo slept or when it happened.

Even if he wanted to remember it, he couldn't do it.

Every time Max tried hard to dig up his memories, his head would hurt so bad it could gnaw at his organs. Not wanting to take the risk of causing his 'death' to repeat, Max decided not to break through his memories.
