Chleo watched the video footage Max showed her with a frown. She saw the figure of a human body enter Xavier's study with relaxed steps as if she was sure the CCTV camera missed his figure.

The figure unlocked Xavier's desk drawer and took some papers from it. These papers were none other than the design drawings from the designers in Division I!

She knew it! Chleo was sure she had made sure the desk drawer was locked and that her teammates' designs were safe in the drawer. She didn't understand how all the design drawings had magically disappeared without someone took them secretly.

If it's only missing one or two drawings, then maybe Chleo was careless and the main culprit in the disappearance of the paper. But this was not only one but twenty drawings that disappeared at once. It didn't make any sense at all that Chleo was accused of taking the design drawings out of the office because Chleo had kept them in Xavier's desk drawer.

What was even more surprising was when Chleo saw the main culprit's face in the video footage. It turned out that the culprit was Mrs. Montgomery herself!? And that woman all day insulting her, scolding her, and even threatening her?

What happened? Chleo was getting more and more clueless.

"Max, this…"

"Just as I thought. You've been framed. That's why I contacted Dex to investigate this case. Luckily, there is CCTV footage, so you don't have to be afraid of being fired and leave everything to him."

"He's right. I already have the evidence in my hands. And again, you have returned the stolen design drawing. Just leave the rest to me." added Dietrich reassuringly. "But I'm worried about something else."

"Chleo, do you have a conflict with the Greys?"

"You mean Grey Family?" could it be Ashley?

"Mrs. Montgomery is Mr. Grey's adopted sister. I sent one of my father's confidants to find out who had hacked our surveillance system, and he found Master Grey's men are helping Mrs. Montgomery."

"What does that have to do with Grey?" Max asked once again, ignoring Chleo's surprise to hear him mentioning Mr. Grey's name so casually.

"Mrs. Montgomery wasn't someone who did things without reason. So far, she has never done anything detrimental to the company. That's why I was surmising that maybe one of the Grays wanted to make things difficult for Chleo into taking advantage of Mrs. Montgomery."

"Even so, there is no reason for the woman to side with her family and harm the company. You have to settle this matter with her."

"Don't worry. I will do it."

Chleo rubbed the nape of her neck awkwardly. Why did she feel like Max had just given orders to Dietrich as if the young man was his subordinate? Isn't Dietrich the CEO of his company? But why is the young man acting as if Max is the CEO and Dietrich was just his assistant.

The longer she was here, the more confused she became.

"Then I will go home first. Chleo, you'd better stay away from the Grey family. As long as you stay here, you are no match for them."

Chleo just nodded her head even though she didn't understand the underlying meaning behind Dietrich's words.

As long as she lives here, she was no match for the Greys? What does it mean? Can she match the Grays once she's out of Seattle?

Oh, of course, she can. Once Chleo returned to New York, she would become a Chleora Regnz. She could match the influence of the Gray family's power. It was Mister Gray who should be wary and wouldn't dare to cause a problem for her.

"Hahaha... your friend is funny, huh. I don't understand why he said we have a special relationship," stated Chleo while laughing nervously, trying to shake off her sudden awkwardness.

She blamed Dietrich for mentioning 'relationships.' They would discuss it after this, but Dietrich spoiled it by saying it first. Now she didn't know what to do.

"Isn't our relationship special? I think our relationship is quite special."

Chleo could barely speak again hearing this. Her heart pounded again when she felt something cold grasped her hand. Her pounding became even crazier when Max raised her hand to the man's lips and...

Kiss!

A pair of cold soft lips pressed firmly against the back of her hand. Max didn't let go of the kiss and looked straight into Chleo's brown eyes with his ocean-like blue eyes.

"I like you,"

And that was the first time Chleo felt like time had stopped.
