Ice Prince: Rewrite The Star

Chapter 121 - Ch. 121 Yuna's Strange Reasoning

Diego began to feel relaxed when it was dark. It was time for the guests to go home and leave this house—especially this annoying angel-faced devil.

Diego hummed happily, feeling impatient to drive the intruders away from his peaceful life.

Ah no. Evie confiscated both his phones! How could he spend his nights without his gadgets?? Huhuhu…

"Yuna, where are you staying tonight? I'll drive you home," offered Evie to the young girl. She couldn't bear to let this cute girl walk alone at this time of night.

"Ah, I spent my money to stay at the suite yesterday. Now I have no money to stay in a hotel."

All of them were stunned to hear the girl's answer. The money was spent just for a suite stay?? Why not just stay in a regular room to save some money?

"So, sister Chleo, can I stay here?"

Diego felt goosebumps on his neck hearing this. This devil was planning to live under the same roof with him? Is that girl crazy? Isn't she afraid of danger?!

"Oh, of course, you can."

"Okay, then I'll go home first. Bye." Evie walked hand in hand with Dietrich to their car.

"Call me quickly if there's anything," Max said while stroking Chleo's face gently.

"Hmm. The first person I will contact will be you," replied Chleo in her sweet voice while enjoying the cold touch on her face.

She liked the cold feeling on the man's skin the most. Chleo closed her eyes as Max lowered his head to give her a light kiss on the forehead. It was a regular habit for Max to kiss her on the forehead whenever they were about to part.

On the other hand, Yuna, who witnessed the small scene, just smiled faintly. She could see the couple were so in love with each other and seemed happy.

The question is… will their relationship stay the same once their memories return?

"Come in. It's getting cold outside." invited Chleo as soon as Max's back was out of sight.

Yuna complied with Chleo's invitation obediently while still smiling kindly.

"You can use my room tonight. Unfortunately, this house only has two rooms, unlike where we live in New York. I hope you don't mind."

Yuna shook her head quickly. "Absolutely not. I don't mind sleeping in a small room."

"If you don't mind sleeping in a small room, why are you staying at the suite?" mocked Diego and Yuna knew he didn't mean it.

"So that I have an excuse for not having money, and I can stay here."

Diego and Chleo were speechless at this blunt answer. Shouldn't Yuna should have harbored the true reason at a time like this?

Chleo chuckled, realizing that what Diego had said was true. This girl was very different from the others.

"Okay. I'll show you your room so you can get some rest."

"Wait a minute! If she sleeps in your room, then where do you sleep?"

"I can sleep here."

Diego sighed in annoyance and walked to his own room.

It looks like Diego's in a terrible mood today. Thought Chleo.

After showing Yuna her room, Chleo lets the young girl clean up. Then she took a spare pillow and blanket from the closet to use in the living room.

But when Chleo went to the guest room, she saw Diego lying on the soft couch complete with pillows and blankets.

"What are you doing?"

"What do you think? How could I let my sister sleep on the sofa? You can sleep in my room instead."

Chleo chuckled and ruffled her brother's hair. "My baby brother is already growing up."

"Who said I was still a baby? I will get taller than you."

"Yes, yes. I believe it. You're already a little bit taller than me now."

Diego chuckled at that. Then he pretended to pout while brushing off his sister's hand that was still ruffling his hair.

"I told you, I'm not a kid anymore. All my hair will fall out if you keep messing around."

"Haish. What a petty boy. Good night."

"Good night."

Chleo walked to the room where Diego was supposed to be and laid down on Diego's bed. She took out her phone to check if there was a message. And it turns out there is!

'Are you sleeping?'

Chleo smiled, reading the message that came from none other than her boyfriend.

'Not yet. Are you home yet?' no need to wait long for a reply message to come in.

'Not yet. It feels like time goes by so slowly when I haven't seen you.'

Chleo suppressed her happy shriek so as not to be heard by the two people in the house.

'Hey, where did you learn such sweet words from? Did you browse it on the internet?'

'Should I start browsing it? I say what's on my mind. Besides, are you the only one who can say sweet things?'

Chleo covered her mouth with a pillow to keep her giggles muffled in it.

Ah, she wouldn't be able to sleep early if this kept going on. She was too excited to keep exchanging texts with her lover. It should have been, but for some reason now, her eyelids felt very heavy, as if suddenly drowsiness decided to invade her brain.

Chleo made sure to say goodnight to Max as her last chat before her sleepiness got heavier. Right after sending the message, her eyelids were tightly closed, and her breathing became more regular.

Apparently, in front of the door of her room was standing Vectis, who activated the atmosphere of a dream world where everyone who entered this atmosphere would fall asleep instantly.

A second later, the door of the room opposite where Yuna was placed opened. Yuna walked out and glanced at Vectis briefly. Then she walked even further to look for someone's figure at the same time Vectis had disappeared from this place.

Yuna glanced at the main room with furrowed brows because she couldn't find anyone there. Then she walked into the backyard and smiled when she saw the person she was looking for.

Yuna walked over and stood next to the person with a triumphant smile and hopeful eyes.

Diego was looking up at the dark sky, which looked gloomy because there weren't any stars to be seen, when he noticed a figure standing next to him.

Diego glanced at the young girl who was staring at him with sparkling eyes.

"What do you want?"

Yuna became disappointed because this young man didn't seem to understand what she wanted.

"Nothing," she said sadly and lowered her head.

Could it be that Diego's memory still hasn't returned? Is it possible that Diego still doesn't recognize her? Yuna asked in her heart full of confusion.
