Ice Prince: Rewrite The Star

Chapter 286 - Ch. 286 Kiss Underwater

"Are you ready?" Max and Chleo held hands on the water with the mammals dancing under the sea as if they couldn't wait to welcome them.

"I've never been ready like this." Chleo's smile widened, and it was enough to invite him to give her a quick peck on her lips.

As if they could read each other's thoughts, both jumped up, and their feet went straight through the water and fell into the water.

They were greeted by dolphins who seemed so happy to welcome them.

Chleo swam with them, and Max was still holding her hand. As long as Chleo was holding hands with Max, Chleo didn't have to worry about running out of breath while diving underwater.

She felt like she was a fish because she could swim fast and breathe underwater.

Well, she could indeed swim, and she was very good at this. But no matter how skilled she was, Chleo would not be able to match the swimming speed of these mammals.

But she was able to swim at high speed and swim along with the fish that surrounded her, thanks to Max.

Apparently, Max was able to control the water so that they could swim without wasting energy as the water pushed their bodies.

As she had expected, the underwater realm was indeed her favorite place in this world.

There were corals with various beautiful colors, unique and beautiful marine plants, and small rocks with rainbow colors like the color stones in her house.

This place was outstanding, and Chleo was sure she would never get tired of seeing it.

They stopped swimming when they saw a pink jellyfish swimming from the bottom up.

Chleo stared at the jellyfish with shining eyes. She felt like she was in the middle of a lantern at night when the jellyfish surrounded the two of them.

The lantern-like flexible animal seemed to sparkle every time it moved its exumbrella open and closed.

Chleo was so amazed that it was hard to describe in words. This was the best date she's ever had.

Chleo jerked her legs so that her body could soar to level her height with Max's. Chleo floated closer and tilted her head to give him a peck on the cheek.

Even though she couldn't speak underwater, Chleo could express her emotions through her eyes.

'Thank You.'

Max smiled softly as he raised a hand to caress Chleo's cheek. The two of them brought their faces closer, and for the first time, they kissed underwater, accompanied by dancing and the cheerful sound of dolphins.

As if they could feel the incomparable happiness of the blue king, all sea creatures, whether they were tiny or big one swam around the lovebirds from bottom to top, and the dolphins jumped into the middle of the air.

One would have seen Chleo and Max like mermaids in fairy tales surrounded by sea animals as their troopers if anyone had seen them.

After being satisfied playing under the sea, the two swam to the surface and returned to their yacht.

Chleo couldn't stop admiring Max's ability to dry their clothes with just one wave. She was no longer afraid of the blue king's strength as she had expected. Instead, Chleo became amazed and worshiped the man's strength.

She had not the slightest idea that she would be this lucky to be loved by one of the rulers, and that person was Maximillian. An extraordinary man who was able to be patient with her and love her for who she is.

It didn't matter if she was a red-haired or black-haired Chleo; Max was willing to accept both sides of her and all her bad temper.

Chleo wanted to change. She didn't want to be stubborn and hurt the people she cared about.

"Max,"

"Hmm?"

"I love you."

Max's footsteps stopped to look gently at his future wife.

"I love you too," came his reply as he took Chleo's right hand to kiss the back of her hand gently.

It was then that he realized something he had not paid much attention to for a long time. His face instantly brightened, and he smiled widely that reached his ears.

"It's stunning."

Chleo frowned at this. It wasn't that she didn't like being praised as 'beautiful' by her fiance, but she wondered why he was complimenting her hand.

Chleo was sure she wasn't wearing jewelry or anything on her hands. Except for the camellia bracelet and the opal bracelet the man gave her, she wore it on her left hand, not her right one.

So she didn't understand what was so beautiful about her hand that Max had just kissed.

"You must be hungry. Let's eat."

Before she could ask, Max had reminded her they hadn't eaten since they woke up, and now her stomach was rumbling, demanding food.

In the end, Chleo complied and let Max take her right hand, and walked towards their yacht.

The two of them helped each other prepare a simple brunch and set the small dining table above their cabin. While enjoying the view of the clear blue ocean, the two of them devoured their breakfast solemnly while talking.

Once in a while, a dolphin would appear by doing some somersault jumps, entertaining Chleo and Max.

They also heard the sound of a whale that had just emerged approaching them.

"Ah, they have come."

"Sometimes, I feel jealous of you. How do you communicate with the animals? I remember you summoned a whale when I was a kid."

Max smiled as he enlightened Chleo's curiosity. "That's one of my abilities. But just so you know, I can only communicate with sea animals, but I can't talk to animals that live on land."

Chleo returned the man's smile then shoved her meal into her mouth.

Chleo's eyes darted probingly at her hand as she raised her right hand.

She wondered what was in her hand that made Max beamed in delight as if he had just found a priceless treasure.

Chleo observed her hand from her palms, backs of hands, wrists, and between her fingers. But… she found nothing there.

Very weird.
