Chapter 42.1 : The Last Moment of Powerful One

Our is a “Powerful One”. Or should I say “Was”. [TL : 我 = Waga(Our or we), can also translated as “I or me or I am”, but I’m using “Our” in this case]
Our is living in the darkness. Though Our body wasn’t that big since birth, Our body was tough, and powerful.
I naturally knew of such things ever since I was born. Even without being taught by anyone, I know that this dark place is what they call a labyrinth, and then, I am a monster.

My newborn self was under attack from various monsters. Starting from Green Pixie, Poisonous Snake, cow headed demon who can use magic, till small wyverns, it keeps going on and on..
But, those guys were fools. I swipe down with my claws for the small ones. Bite them with my tough tusks for the medium sized one.

It was fun when I was just born. I passed the time by attacking the other monsters.
I trembled in joy every time I killed my enemies. That’s how I naturally know that I was enjoying the battles.

Thus, I wandered around the labyrinth, looking for powerful opponents.
The steel giant was a chewy opponent. It didn’t flinch even after receiving my claws and fangs attack, nor was it defeated.
But, that’s all. The steel giant’s attack couldn’t hurt me either. If you ask my opinion, it’s just a good-for-nothing doll with ridiculous defensive power. When I understood that fact, I slaughtered it within a few minutes.

When it comes to chewy textures, the creature called human is quite interesting too. I’m sure that they’re called “Adventurers” or something………

Different from monsters, they’re equal to me……… No, I mean they’re more intelligent than those monsters.
Alone, they’re weak, but they keep leading me by nose with sword, shield and magic, even using traps.
But, they’re fools. Though they can choose to escape, as soon as they see me, they shout words such as 「IT’S A DRAGON!」, or 「IF WE CAN BEAT THIS GUY, WE’LL BE FILTHY RICH」, or 「WE”LL GET FAMOUS FOR DEFEATING THIS GUY!」 with excited voices, and then rush at me using various kinds of skills. 」
I couldn’t understand what they mean by rank and gold, but I understand the meaning of fame.
I really can’t hold my laughter against these kind of people-Who under impression that they’re strong- challenge me to a match.

But, I don’t care about the reason. Because I’m okay as long as I can fight——

The same goes for magic. The even used extremely weak magic against me.

The small monster was looking around with a puzzled face. It seems that it has yet to realize that it fell on top of my head.

Because I raised my head while saying those words, the small monster tumbled down from on top of my head.
It’s a tiger stripped kitten. It was a monster cat who is covered by orange tabby furs.
It’s really young in age. Is it, a newborn monster?
And to my surprise, it’s landing in a well balanced way. But, a surprised expression is shown on it’s face. It seems that it knows the situation it is currently in.
But, there’s no way that kind of expression is enough to appease my anger.

I bring down my claws toward the little monster who is still in shock.
