7 - Restraints

Akkad took his turn after I came out of the bath. After Akkad finished bathing, he sat down next to me on the sofa. 

He took my left hand, and before I realized what was happening, a sturdy handcuff was locked around my left wrist with a click.

I had no clue what was happening.

I was dazed, like the lights weren’t turning on in my head. What was this guy doing?

 

“I’m really sorry. When I reported your presence to the organization I’m affiliated with, they told me to keep you restrained until they can confirm your information.”

Akkad spoke apologetically, “Time is running short, so I’ve gotta go. I’ll be back in the evening.” He pressed his lips to my hair, and promptly set off outside. 

 

What was his affiliation? Maybe Gilgamesh? Or perhaps he’s associated with the broadcasting TV station he’s always appearing on?

Come to think of it, I wonder what sort of relationship he has with Gilgamesh? Is he receiving remuneration?

Akkad enters and exits stage so quickly, I haven’t heard anything one way or the other. Well, whatever. In any case, they’re both enemies. 

Strangely, just then, I felt as though I was betraying him. 

 

Looking at the handcuff, it was connected to the bedframe by a long chain. I tried going out to the living room and walking around, and found I could eat and go to the bathroom without issue. 

A bit relieved, I returned to the bed to “slowly consider” our relationship, like I’d told Akkad.

 

Feeling spent, everything that had happened until now flooded into my skull, and I had to hold my head. 

Just as Doktor Satow planned, I stuck explosive paste onto my thigh in the middle of the battle, matched the timing of a stray bullet, and let it explode. Due to injury, I pretended I was too slow running away, and had to cling to Akkad to beg for my life….which I wasn’t actually able to do, but I did get him to take me back to his territory anyway.

After reaching the stage where he treated my wounds, I stripped off my battle-suit, as if to show him the wound, and tempted him by spreading legs….which I also was not really able to do, huh.

If the guy attacked me, I’d couple with him for a night, and if he didn’t attack me, I’d flash my belly or underwear or whatever at him, like a lecher’s wet dream1, in rapid succession until he finally attacked me…..

 

Really, though, what the hell is this plan?! Isn’t it too strange? I’m still a man??

Even though I have the expected musculature of a combatant model, if you actually look at me, I have dull black hair and dim bluish eyes: plain and mediocre. 

Why would just a great genius even consider setting his honeytrap with such unappealing2 bait! Although Akkad still got taken in!

 

Aah, that’s right. Akkad. I had no idea that guy would go for a man. Magazines published articles like rapidfire3 on his ‘relationships’ with gorgeous women from variety shows and net news programs, but I never did actually hear about him having any sort of romantic partner. 

From the start, he was popular with all ages and sexes, so he must’ve been approached by men hoping to do with him what he did with me.

……If it was someone with a pretty face, it wouldn’t be weird if he fell for a man, but he fell for someone like me.

It was an absolutely impossible strategy, but somehow it ended up succeeding.

 

I fell over on the bed.

“I give up. I can’t think at all. I’ll just think of the stuff before.”

 

As Doktor Satow said. If the honeytrap was successful, in order to confirm that Akkad is obsessed with me, I was told to run away and return to Humbaba. 

Then I’ll be used as bait, and the strategy would branch out from there. 

If possible, it’d be ideal if I could encourage him with pillow talk4 to return to Humbaba, or to lend me even one of his weapons, but more important than that, he told me to come back safely, without pushing myself, but as quickly as possible.

 

If that’s the case, then I should run away from here immediately.
