With those thought in mind, Ana slept.

She was kind of relieved from her decision but somewhere in heart there were some contradictory feelings.

After nearly an hour of sleep she woke up, it was 7:30 pm and she was feeling really shy to go outside, because every day she helped Mrs Eliza and her mom with cooking but today she slept in the evening.

With an embarrassed face she went to the kitchen and said,

" Sorry, todays practice was really tiring.

I slept after coming from practice.

(Pause)

Pls tell me is there anything I can help with. "

Mrs. Eliza laughed and said

"Don't worry dear,

I know how hard it can be for you to help us with cooking after your practice.

Also Kevin told me that Inter college sports meet are going to held soon, and you are the ace of your team, you have to practice even hard for your team so don't worry.

We can do cooking for all of us and you practice for the meet.

(Pause)

I'll come with Ema and Sally to see the meet and we will be cheering for you. "

Mrs Ema was smiling, and Ana was so happy that she had tears of joy.

It was first time that someone other than her mom encouraged her to do sports.

She then sat on couch and relaxed, she was waiting for the dinner to get ready and suddenly she saw Kevin entering the living area.

Normally she don't react, but today she started blushing when she saw Kevin enter the room.

She panicked, and turned her face away from him and in nervousness she started changing channels on the television.

Kevin didn't notice her change in behavior at all.

He went to the the kitchen, saw what was cooking and came back and sat near Ana.

At that moment Ana's nervousness went to a peak.

For her it was so awkward to sit beside a guy who had a crush on her.

Actually situation was awkward at both ends.

Kevin was trying to act cool in-front of Ana so that she could not get hint from him and Ana was nervous to sit beside Kevin after knowing the truth.

Dinner was ready in few minutes and Ana stood up and went to the dining table.

Kevin also went to the dining table and sat in-front of her.

In nervousness she was eating very fast and Mrs. Ema scolded her by saying,

" Where are your manners, Ana.

Why are you eating so fast. "

She then saw Kevin who was smiling after seeing her, with that Ana was so embarrassed that she left some food and ran to her room by saying,

" I am not feeling well today, I should go and rest."

With that embarrassment she went to her room.

Mrs Ema : Kevin, do you know something,

she is acting weird.

She didn't even finish her food.

Kevin: No! Not at all.

I don't know why she is acting like that.

In morning things were a bit normal, although her cheeks were cherry red.

She came to the dining table, covering up her facial expressions to avoid reflecting her emotions.

She was half way through eating the breakfast as Kevin arrived.

She ate fast and left the house.

Seeing that Kevin took a loaf of bread and an orange juice pack and left the house saying,

" Today I have an extra class , I'm leaving early. "

" Why can't you have a proper breakfast.

If you have your classes early then just try waking up early.

You will become thin .... "

With that Kevin left house.

" Oh God!

When will this boy get some brains!!"

He ran towards Ana by shouting,

"Hey, wait for me."

And suddenly Ana started walking fast.

She was purposely ignoring Kevin because inside she was still not settled after knowing that he had a crush her.

As soon as Kevin caught up to her, she started walking normally.

At that time there were walking side by side.

She was not looking towards Kevin at all, she was just looking straight and walking.

She was not paying attention at road, even though she was looking straight.

She was just trying hard to control her emotions and was not focusing on anything else.

Kevin was talking about all sort of stuffs but she didn't reply to any.

By seeing that reaction of Ana, Kevin stopped.

Inside Kevin started thinking,

'Did I do something wrong. Or did I say something to her which she didn't like.

Why is she ignoring me?'

He was walking slowly behind her thinking all that when he saw a boy riding cycle very fast was coming towards them and Ana was slightly near the edge of the road.

Seeing Ana so close to the road, he grabbed her hands and pushed her side from the road.

She toppled and fall directly on the hands of Kevin.

At that moment she was confused and surprised seeing herself like that.

Her heart was beating so loud that she could feel the sensation.

She was all red and was shivering a little since Kevin was the first guy who was so close to her.

His face was literally inches away from her and she could feel his breathing.

She stood on her legs with her face all red.

At the time of impact Kevin saved Ana but the cycle scratched Kevin's arm and went ahead.

There was a big scratch near his forearm due to impact and seeing blood coming from the hand Ana understood the situation.

"Idiot

Why did you do that.

See you got a scratch on your hand and it's bleeding. "

Kevin with a mild smile on his face said,

" IT'S OKAY, DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME,

(Pause)

Sorry for dragging you like that, my body moved on my own.

Are you fine?"

With that Ana started blushing.

For few seconds she stopped thinking, but then she opened her bag and took out a hanker chief.

She wiped the blood and tied the hanker-chief on to his hands.

After all that she said,

" Idiot,

You really are an idiot."

She started walking ahead.

Suddenly Kevin softly dragged her to the side, grabbed her hand and started walking on the side.

He said,

" You are not careful enough.

I will walk this side, "

Generally when parents walk with their children on the road, they grab their hand and safely walk with them, keeping them to the opposite end of the road with the intent to protect.

Situation was similar, Kevin was holding her hand and was walking on the side of the road with the intent to protect.

Ana was smart enough to understand all that and she bowed down her head and without any resist walked with Kevin.

She was shy, but seeing Kevin intent and his way of protecting her, she quietly hold his hand.

Ana walked along side Kevin, while in her heart emotions for Kevin started to dwell.
