Jizhou kiln began in the late Tang Dynasty, flourished in the Five Dynasties and the Northern Song Dynasty, prospered in the Southern Song Dynasty, and declined in the late Yuan Dynasty. It has a history of more than 1,200 years and was the most creative folk kiln in the Song and Yuan Dynasties.
