Journey Towards Greatness

Seeing Pikachu land so hard against the ground scared everyone present. And they wouldn't be blamed for thinking so, as the landing was very hard and scary.

Everyone present thought that the battle was over, but experienced trainers like Julian and Hala knew that Pikachu still has a lot to give, and just like they expected, Pikachu started to get back to his feet.

Seeing this, Hala decided to end this battle with one big move.

Hala "Young Ash, it's time to end this battle. Let me show you the true power of a Z-move"

Kahuna Hala declared and flashed his fightinium-z that was placed in his Z-ring and started to perform his z-ritual to attack the weakened Pikachu with the fighting type z-move.

Hala's Hariyama also started to copy Hala's movements and z-energy started to flare up around Hariyama's body.

Hala "ALL-OUT PUMMELING"

It then clenched its fist and started to blast massive fists made of energy at Pikachu.

Each and every fist that hurled toward Pikachu carried the same energy as a Solar Beam, meaning getting just hit by one of these fists would completely destroy a pokemon, so imagine what would happen if more than one or two of these energy fists hit.

Ash knew that Pikachu can't risk getting hit by even one of these energy fists. Luckily for him, Pikachu is back on his feet.

Ash "Pikachu, dodge using Quick Attack"

Pikachu bolted towards Hariyama as soon as he heard Ash's command. He didn't care if his body is riddled with pain.

By using Quick Attack, Pikachu's speed increased a lot, and he was able to move around faster than the energy fists could approach him, but these fists seem to be endless.

The only way for Pikachu to escape from these fists is to get very close to Hariyama, where it won't be able to hit Pikachu with it because it will also get exposed to the backlash of its own attacks.

As Pikachu bolted towards Hariyama, he was able to dodge the first energy fist which hit the battlefield and exploded, destroying the ground it came in contact with. Pikachu then dodged the second fist, then the third, then the fourth.

All these avoided energy fists continue to destroy the battlefield as Pikachu got closer to Hariyama. Still, there is only so much Pikachu could dodge, the closer Pikachu got to Hariyama, the harder it became for him to dodge the energy fists and he finally got hit by one.

Pikachu got smashed by three energy fists from the All-Out Pummeling, sending Pikachu smashing into the ground, which then led to his body bouncing multiple times on the battlefield.

Ash "PIKACHU"

Ash got worried as Pikachu fell hard against the ground.

Everything seemed over but it was not. Pikachu moved and started to get back to his feet while gritting his teeth. At the same time, Hariyama also went on its knee.

Hariyama used up all of its strength behind that attack. He had used Belly Drum to increase his strength and after using the z-move, it completely exhausted Hariyama.

Now that Pikachu is back on his feet, it is time for Ash to end it.

Ash knew this was his chance. He looked at the z-crystal on his Z-ring and knew it was the time to use it.

Ash "Pikachu, let's do this!"

Ash yelled and started doing the z-move sequence for the normal type z-move Breakneck-Blitz, Pikachu got on his hind legs and started to copy Ash's movements, and doing so made z-energy surround Pikachu.

Once it was all charged up, Ash gave the command.

Ash "Pikachu, Breakneck-Blitz"

Pikachu then bolted towards Hariyama with full power. Z-energy burst forth and the ground below Pikachu's legs shattered.

Every step Pikachu took caused mini craters to form below. Pikachu crossed the battlefield in an instant and smashed into Hariyama.

Pikachu was so fast that Hariyama could only widen its eyes in surprise and take the hit head-on. Breakneck-Blitz made contact, and a massive explosion covered the entire battlefield.

And when the ball of explosion dimmed down and everyone's vision cleared, they all could see the result.

Hariyama was out cold on the battlefield, while Pikachu is still standing.

Kukui "Hariyama is unable to battle. Pikachu wins. Hence, the winner of this grand trial is Ash. "

Kukui declared Ash the winner, which made everyone happy.

Ash jumped in excitement and rushed towards Pikachu and hugged him. His friends also rushed towards Ash to congratulate him as well.

Julian didn't think much of this battle. He had expected Ash to win, and he did.

As Ash and his friends continued to celebrate his victory over Kahuna Hala, Hala walked towards Ash with a smile on his face.

Hala "Young Ash, you are an exceptional pokemon trainer and I think you proved that you deserve to hold this crystal"

Hala said and pulled out a Fightinium-Z and showed it to Ash. Ash looked at the Z-crystal in Hala's hand with excitement as he is about to receive another Z-crystal but before he could even take the z-crystal from Hala's hand.

Everyone present on the battlefield heard a screeching cry which distracted all of them.

Julian became alert as he sensed something rushing towards Hala. He recognized what it was and decided to see what happens.
