This must be made clear!

The sound of more than a dozen footsteps ascending the stairs was heard, and soon the figures of Benyin, Jiumozhi and others appeared on the top of the Prajna Platform.

Jiumozhi was about fifty years old, wearing a bright yellow monk's robe, cloth clothes and straw sandals. He looked very energetic, with a faint glow flowing on his face, making him look radiant.

The most eye-catching thing is his eyes, which are deep and clear, showing endless wisdom, as if he has experienced endless vicissitudes and seen through everything in the world.

With this appearance and this temperament, there is no need to say anything, just standing there, he is a great monk!

Captain, don't shoot!

Haha, it’s me!

Hey, it’s me!

This nose, these eyes, this head, they only appear once every few thousand years!

For an image like this, a petty thief, an illegal vendor, or a hooligan, there's no need to act, just poke it there and that's it.

It’s only been thousands of years since such a thing came out!

They are all talented!

Jiumozhi bowed slightly, put his hands together, and said in a gentle voice: "Jiumozhi, a junior from the Tibetan country, greets the senior master."

"The King is polite."

Master Ku Rong clasped his hands together in return and said softly, "Please take a seat, Lord Ming."

"Thank you, senior."

Jiumozhi lifted his monk robe and sat down cross-legged.

Ben Yin walked behind Master Kurong and sat cross-legged on the empty cushion.

Wei Wu looked at Jiumozhi, and then at the dozen or so followers behind him.

I saw that the dozen or so people who followed were all foreigners with high noses, deep eyes, big ears and wide mouths, and ferocious and vicious looks.

In comparison between the two, Jiumozhi's appearance appears more solemn and majestic, like a Bodhisattva Arhat who can subdue Asuras and Yakshasas.

Wei Wu raised his lips slightly, thinking: "Jiumozhi knows how to promote!

If this guy were alive in the future, he would definitely be a marketing master!

Know exactly how to package yourself and stand out!

I found a group of evil ghost-like characters to set off myself. It's thoughtful and creative!"

Jiumozhi looked at Master Ku Rong and said slowly: "Permanence and impermanence, the two trees wither and flourish, north and south, east and west, neither false nor empty."

Master Kurong's eyes flashed with surprise and admiration, and he thought, "As expected of a person who is highly respected by the Indian monks in the Western Regions, a great reputation is not in vain, and he actually revealed the origin of the bitter Zen that I meditated on in just one sentence."

In the old days, the Buddha Shakyamuni passed away between the twin Parvati trees in Kuhuna. There were twin trees in the east, west, south and north. On each side, one tree was flourishing and the other was withered. This was called the "four withered and four flourishing" system.

According to Buddhist scriptures, the twin trees in the east represent "permanence and impermanence", the twin trees in the south represent "happiness and no happiness", the twin trees in the west represent "self and no self", and the twin trees in the north represent "purity and no purity".

The flourishing and flourishing tree symbolizes the true nature of Nirvana: permanence, bliss, self, and purity.

The withered and dying tree shows the world: impermanence, no joy, no self, and no purity.

The Tathagata Buddha enters and annihilates between these eight realms, meaning it is neither withered nor prosperous, neither false nor empty.

Master Kurong meditated facing the wall for decades, and his Zen skills reached the state of half-dryness and half-thriving.

If things develop normally, even if he faces the wall for another few decades, he may not be able to reach the great state of "neither withered nor flourishing, but both withered and flourishing".

However, after Wei Wu helped him experience the state of "neither withered nor flourishing, but both withered and flourishing", he would be able to reach this state in three years at most.

Decades of hard training cannot be ignored, but the key is the moment when Wei Wu took him to experience it.

Genius is one percent inspiration and ninety-nine percent perspiration.

But that one percent of inspiration is often the most important, even more important than the ninety-nine percent of sweat.

The same goes for cultivation. If you don’t have talent, no matter how hard you try, it will be useless.

Master Kuruo was about to praise Jiumozhi when Wei Wu at the side spoke first.

“Ming Wang is indeed a virtuous and holy monk, with profound knowledge of Buddhism and Zen principles. I admire him.

I have a doubt in my mind, please answer it, Lord Ming. "

He did not give Jiumozhi a chance to refuse and asked directly: "May I ask the wise king, what is the Bodhi tree and what is the mirror stand?"

When Jiumozhi ascended the Prajna platform, he noticed Wei Wu.

Wei Wu is handsome and has an outstanding temperament, just like the bright moon in the dark night, making it impossible to ignore him.

There is another reason that cannot be ignored, and that is that he is sitting next to Master Ku Rong.

This shows that Wei Wu's status is extremely high, even comparable to Master Kuruo!

Jiumozhi asked in a gentle voice: "Excuse me, who are you?"

Wei Wu was about to answer when Master Ku Rong at the side spoke up.

"This is my junior fellow apprentice Wei Wu, a lay disciple of Tianlong Temple, with the Buddhist name Huanxi."

Hearing that Wei Wu was Master Ku Rong's junior apprentice, Jiumozhi's eyes flashed with curiosity and doubt, and he put his hands together and said, "Master Huanxi is polite."

Although Jiumozhi appeared polite on the surface, he actually did not take Wei Wu seriously at all.

Just assume that he has a powerful background, so he was able to join Tianlong Temple and become Master Kurong's junior apprentice.

In terms of background, Jiumozhi was no less than anyone else throughout his life, so there was no need for him to explain his actions to others.

The national teacher of the Tibetan Kingdom, Mahavira, is no mere decoration!

Even Jiumozhi did not hide his contempt at all, and showed it openly, pretending not to hear Wei Wu's question and directly not answering it.

The implicit meaning of this move is very obvious, that is, Wei Wu is not qualified enough to sit down and discuss with him.

……

Chapter 129: There are risks in showing off, so be careful if you want to do so!

Wei Wu’s eyes flashed with a hint of teasing, and he clasped his hands together and said, “My Lord, you are so polite.

What is the Bodhi tree and what is the mirror stand?

Please enlighten me, my Lord! "

Jiumozhi started to show off right from the start and looked down on him, which made Wei Wu very unhappy.

Wherever he is, only he can pretend!

If they are his closest friends, relatives, brothers, or siblings, he may pretend to be such a person, but he absolutely does not allow his opponents or enemies to pretend to be such a person.

So Wei Wu decided to severely suppress Jiumozhi's arrogance!

Let him know that being cool is not something you can just pretend to be cool!

Trying to be cool, but end up being treated like a plant.

There are risks in showing off, so be careful if you want to!

What’s more, he must remember that he must never underestimate Wei Wu!

Jiumozhi did not answer, but threw the ball to Wei Wu and asked in a gentle voice: "Master Huanxi, what do you think?"

The six people behind Wei Wu all had a flash of anger in their eyes, but with Master Ku Rong and Wei Wu in front of them, it was not their turn to speak.

Buddhists discuss the Dao through questions and answers.

After you answer other people’s questions, ask others.

People like Jiumozhi who directly throw the question back are extremely disrespectful.

To slap Wei Wu in the face is to slap Tianlong Temple in the face!

Wei Wu had a faint smile on his face, without any sign of anger, and said softly: "Since the king asked, I will show my ugliness.

The body is a bodhi tree, and the mind is like a mirror.

Wipe it frequently to avoid dust.

"Do you think so, my Lord?"

Everyone present was well versed in Buddhist principles and had studied Buddhist scriptures in depth. After listening to Wei Wu's verses, their eyes lit up and they all applauded in secret.

Jiumozhi's eyes sparkled, and after thinking seriously for a while, he nodded slightly.

"Of course!"

Wei Wu shook his head slightly and chuckled, "I don't think so."

Everyone was stunned when they heard this, not understanding what Wei Wu was up to.

If you don't agree with your own answer, isn't that just slapping yourself in the face?

After listening to Wei Wu's poem, Jiumozhi no longer dared to look down on him, and said in a deep voice: "Master Huanxi, please teach me."

"The king's words are important."

Wei Wuzhuang pretended to be modest and said calmly: "There is no Bodhi tree, and the bright mirror is not a stand.

There is nothing in the first place, so where can dust gather? "

When everyone heard this, they felt their scalps tingling and goose bumps all over their bodies, and two words popped up in their minds.

Cool!

Jiumozhi was silent for a long time, then stood up, bowed deeply to Wei Wu, and said respectfully: "I will teach you!"

Wei Wu chuckled and said, "I cannot bear the gift from the king."

"Master Huanxi definitely deserves it!"

Jiumozhi said solemnly: "Both verses contain supreme Buddhist principles, which cannot be understood by people who are not extremely wise, compassionate, brave, determined, virtuous, and loving.

I am a humble monk who only sees the sky from a well. I am so arrogant and conceited that I am really ashamed of myself!

I apologize for any offense I caused you just now, I hope Master Huanxi will forgive me."

Wei Wu said generously: "Your Majesty, your words are respectful. Please take a seat."

Now that I have finished beating the face, I naturally want to end it perfectly.

"Thank you, Master Huanxi."

After Jiumozhi expressed his thanks, he sat cross-legged.

Just now he was full of pretentiousness as he stepped onto the Prajna platform, but he didn't expect that in just one round, he was beaten in the face by the Wei general.

Everyone in Tianlong Temple was delighted. They had originally thought that they could rely on Wei Wu's military strength to crush Jiumozhi.

Unexpectedly, Wei Wu came up and gave them a pleasant surprise.

He actually completely defeated the opponent in the area of discussing and preaching, which was Jiumozhi's forte.

In fact, if we talk about the true Buddhism, Wei Wu is definitely not a match for Jiumozhi.

He was just taking advantage of the situation and composed two verses that were well-known to later generations to deal with Jiumozhi.

However, he did not expect that Jiumozhi did not answer his question, but instead threw the question back.

Whether Jiumozhi answers the question or not, it will not affect Wei Wu's plan to slap him in the face.

He originally planned to disagree with Jiumozhi's answer no matter how he answered, and then throw out the verse of Shenxiu, the founder of Northern Zen, and ask Jiumozhi whether he agreed or not.

No matter how powerful Jiumozhi is, can he be more powerful than Master Shenxiu?

He is the founder of Northern Zen!

He will definitely agree by then!

If he disagrees, Wei Wu will ask him what's wrong?

Jiumozhi would definitely not be able to answer it, which would be even more embarrassing.

If Jiumozhi agreed with Master Shenxiu's point of view, Wei Wu would throw out the verses of the Sixth Patriarch Huineng and slap him in the face.

Although Wei Wu had little knowledge, he used it all to the best advantage.

A slap in the face to be exact!
