Cyberpunk: I didn't cheat.

I sped all the way to the Gunfire Children's Sports Center, and saw a petite figure at the entrance.
"Hey Rebecca, good morning."
Rebecca was still carrying her large weapons case. She seemed to have moved on from the grief of her brother's death, but only on the surface.
"Good morning, Vito. I've come to you to modify some weapons."
Vito parked the car at the door, took Rebecca's weapon case, and opened the door.
"Come in and have a seat. Have you been waiting long?"
Rebecca shook her head.
"I just arrived a little while ago."
Vito turned on the ice maker, poured in two bottles of real water, and then opened a bottle of Silly Monkey for Rebecca.
"How do you want to change it?"
Vito opened the weapon case while asking questions and found a kinetic shotgun inside.
"I want to make it even more powerful; its firepower should be enough to send those guys with lots of prosthetic bodies flying into the sky!"
Vito picked up the Killer and then checked the gun's condition.
"Sure, but its bullets won't be universal. You can only get them from me. Also, shotguns are different from rifles and submachine guns. If you want to suppress recoil, you have to put a lot of effort into modifying them."
Rebecca rolled up her sleeves and pointed to her arm as she spoke.
"Then give me a gorilla arm, a prosthetic to counteract the recoil!"
Vito looked at Rebecca's serious expression and shook his head.
"I'll get a high-end version out in a while before you install it. I can make something even better than military grade, but I'm short on materials right now, so let's modify the gun first."
Vito opened the hidden compartment and took out an RC-7 Possessed Ghost Gun, showing it to Rebecca.
"This part is very hard to find. I disassembled a lot of parts before finally assembling this muzzle. In my eyes, it is a golden muzzle, which is a level and a half higher than military grade. Installing this muzzle can directly reduce the recoil by half."
"Your kinetic shotgun will be perfect after you've modified it, but it's not cheap. One muzzle alone is enough to buy ten guns. Do you still want it?"
Rebecca nodded firmly; she was prepared to use all her savings to upgrade her firepower.
After receiving Rebecca's reply, Vito began modifying the weapon. He wanted to create a deadly weapon, and to this end, he even connected to a personal link and attached two mechanical arms as his assistants.
He was rapidly modifying the gun with his hands, yet he still managed to chat with Rebecca.
"You'll be spending a lot of money on this gun, but I can give you another modified gun; you can choose the model."
Rebecca is in need of a more powerful secondary weapon. The two Freedoms she bought last time are powerful enough, but they are not enough for Rebecca, who suffers from a fear of insufficient firepower.
Suddenly, Rebecca noticed Vito's holster. He usually carried Euros on his waist, but today he had a Mallorian Overture revolver next to the Euros.
Rebecca felt the gun looked familiar, and she asked.
"Vito, can I take a look at your Prelude revolver?"
Vito casually pulled out the gun and placed it on the table.
"Go ahead, but don't test the gun indoors. Even though I'm using dumdum bullets, .55 bullets can still ricochet some shrapnel."
Rebecca picked up the heavy kinetic revolver and examined it closely. The gun had been completely modified inside and out, and the original .42 caliber had been changed to .55.
The gun was painted entirely black, with an exaggerated and menacing design.
Suddenly, Rebecca's thoughts flashed back to the night she encountered the cyberbully. She was pinned down by Qiwei, and when she looked up, she saw that the blocky-headed man was also holding a gun.
"Vito, is this your gun?"
Vito, still engrossed in modifying the gun, answered casually.
"This one is mine."
"Rebecca asked."
"How much does this kind of gun cost?"
Vito, who was changing the barrel of his gun for killing, replied casually as always.
"This gun requires some special materials. If you want it, I can contact the Wanderers of the Evil Lands to send over a batch. But I heard that the Snake Gang is also having some trouble lately, so I don't know how long it will take to get this batch."
Rebecca was now eager to know who had helped her team that day, and she pressed for an answer.
"Who else have you sold this kind of gun to? Vito, this is important, that person saved our lives that night!"
Vito paused for a moment, then answered.
“I don’t know who he is; he was wearing a face mask.”
Rebecca was somewhat disappointed.
“Okay, Vito, let me know if you have any information about him, okay?”
A robotic arm made an OK sign.
"Wrapped."
Finally, the job was done. Vito painted the gun body with a layer of green paint, and then applied two diagonal stripes of purplish-red paint to the barrel.
Vito then handed the gun to Rebecca and went to retrieve the ammunition he had originally prepared for Jack.
"Didn't you choose a gift?"
Rebecca shook her head.
"No need. Let me know when you have the materials. I want the same Prelude pistol, and I'll pay as usual."
Vito placed the bullet on the table in front of Rebecca.
"Then I'll give you a few boxes of bullets. The red ones are buckshot, the purple ones are slugs, and the black ones are dragon's breath bullets. I also had graphite bullets, but Jack and I have a request right now, and we're a bit short on graphite bullets, so I'll give them to you next time."
Rebecca readily transferred the money to Vito.
"Let's give your gun a name, Rebecca."
"Iron-blooded!"
Chapter 56 Save Me
The two went to the shooting range to test the gun, and then made minor adjustments to the weapon based on how it felt to use.
At this moment, Gloria also arrived at the stadium and boarded the Guns N' Roses. She then proceeded to...
Breakfast consisted of coffee and a synthetic hot-pressed sandwich. She knew Vito was coming when she saw the door, and Vito never liked fried noodles or similar foods, calling them Night City's Satanic ritual against Eastern cuisine, so that's what she ordered.
When breakfast arrived, she carried the food to deliver it to Vito and saw Rebecca testing a gun.
She had heard about the tragedy that had happened to Mann's squad, but one of the best ways to comfort someone is not to bring up painful memories.
"Hi Rebecca, I brought you breakfast."
Gloria handed her share to Rebecca.
"Thank you, Mrs. Gloria."
Rebecca put down her gun and took the breakfast, while Vito pushed it back to Gloria.
"You eat first, Gloria. You still need to watch the shop later. I have a request to make. I haven't been able to be at the shop much lately."
"It's nothing. Do you have something planned for today? Why are you at the store so early?"
Vito chuckled.
"Nothing much, just came to pick up some equipment."
Gloria's eyes seemed to see right through people's hearts.
"So, there are still some prosthetic bodies left in the warehouse, right?"
Vito scratched his head.
"Cybernetes? Of course, there are plenty. I'm not going to war, why would I need so many cybernetes? Never mind, I need to reassign the captain. The recent mission might involve infiltration, I need to sort things out."
After saying that, Vito fled the firing range.
"Rebecca, try shooting a few more times after you finish breakfast, then come to the front and I'll adjust it for you!"
Gloria smiled wryly. To outsiders, Vito was a composed mercenary, but in front of his friends, he was always like a child.
beep~ beep~
Vito, who had escaped the firing range, received a phone call from Jack.
"Hey, Jack, did you find out anything?"
Vito got straight to the point.
"I found out that there's a guy selling goods in the underpass of Twisty Street. Apparently, they're all hard-to-find sunglasses."
Jack replied.
Has anyone chosen T-bug yet?
Vito equipped his sergeant with a TSX Cuckoo muzzle, which reduces muzzle noise and is designed to catch the enemy off guard.
"The bug didn't say anything, so they're probably still looking for it. Have you gotten any information from them?"
Jack asked.
“It’s starting to look promising. Come to the shop. I’ve ordered some good stuff from Stings. We’ll pack it up and give Old Wei a copy so he can put some new items on the shelves.”
"Okay, I'll ride over."
After ending the call, Vito sent Stins a message, asking him to meet him at Gannon Square in Heywood.
Stings arrived in Gannon in a police car, followed by three officers.
"Oh, you even brought bodyguards? Officer Stins doesn't trust me!"
Stings ignored Vito's sarcastic remarks. He had his three men wait outside while he and Vito went into a taco shop.
"It's early in the morning, and I still have to go to the station after the transaction, so of course I have to bring my men with me!"
After saying that, Sting handed Vito a data chip.
"Here's what you wanted. Use it yourself, but don't let everyone know."
Vito took the chip, examined it, and then laughed.
"This thing will be on the shelves sooner or later. With the kind of behavior you NCPD people have, you can sell your conscience, let alone a little bit of citizens' data."
Stins had nothing to say; he knew Vito was telling the truth.
"Where is the information I need?"
Vito ordered two burritos and two espressos, then gave Stins the information he wanted.
“You know that guy ‘Wooden Man’ Oswald Forrest is just a lubricant for the Tiger Claw gang’s yellow industry. His boss is Hiromi Sato, who is the actual person in charge of Genting Highlands. He lives on the top floor of the H8 skyscraper and doesn’t usually leave his luxurious penthouse.”
Hongmei's superiors are the two leaders of the Tiger Claw Gang, but I don't think they would directly contact a nobody like Dut from the NCPD.
Stins got the information he wanted and nodded.
"Very good, the transaction is complete."
Stins was about to get up when Vito called out to stop him.
"Have breakfast before you go, or have you run out of things to say to me?"
Stins sat down again, wanting to see what Vito was up to.
The waiter brought the two of them burritos and coffee. Vito started eating breakfast, while Stins didn't touch a bite.
"Which powerful backer have you latched onto, Arasaka? Or the Yoru Corporation?"
"It has nothing to do with you."
"Ahem, Stings, have I been giving you too much of a friendly look?"
When Stins realized that the conversation was not going well, he prepared to get up and leave.
“Stins, if I were you, I wouldn’t act rashly. I’m holding a taco in my right hand and my beloved gun, Euro, in my left, pointing it at your corrupt cop’s balls. You don’t want to lose your little guy, do you?”
