Liying handed the book to Vito.
Vito casually glanced at the prologue.
"Why are you like Jack now, enjoying watching this kind of stuff?"
Vito saw a passage in the book and couldn't help but smile.
[Being able to laugh and kill a few gangsters doesn't mean you're capable; anyone can kill. I know a rock star who blew up a platoon of company scum. Did he become a lone wolf because of that? No, he got himself killed that way.]
Morgan Blackhand mentions Johnny in his book; it's hilarious.
Vito placed the Lone Wolf Handbook on the table.
"You guys must be bored staying in the hotel for so long, right? How about we go out for a walk today?"
Liying nodded, her eyes smiling.
"Okay, I'm almost fully recovered. From now on, I can drive you around when you're doing chores!"
"Great! I'm really missing a super driver right now. By the way, where's Cha?"
“He was watching a movie in his room. He said that there were many physical videotapes of sapphire that couldn’t be found online.”
Vito pushed open Cha's room door and hurriedly left the room a few seconds later.
"Sorry, Cha, take your time looking. I didn't see anything."
Vito cursed inwardly.
"Damn, I almost forgot that Cha is a robot. He's acting like a teenage boy right now!"
Vito had already come to regard Cha as a human being. He could see that Cha really wanted to be a person, and he thought that was a good thing.
Xiao Cha left the room hesitantly.
"Vito, it's not what you think."
Vito patted Cha on the shoulder and whispered to Cha.
"Once the quality problem of the big steel cannon is resolved, I'll install one for you."
Xiao Cha responded in a low voice.
“Vito, Little Cha knows you have the skills. Could you modify a big steel cannon for Little Cha in a few days?”
"So urgent?"
"How can a boy not have..."
"Hey, stop, you're being too secretive. I'll think of a solution for you as soon as possible, but my skills can't guarantee that the cannon won't smoke."
The three of them left Baoshiqing and strolled leisurely all the way to the Long Beach stockpile.
After walking around for a while, Li Ying felt much better. She took Vito's arm and pointed to the Moth Bar at the Long Beach stockyard.
"There's a bar over there, let's go sit down, it's on me!"
On the surface, Moth Bar is an ordinary bar with ordinary decor, an ordinary menu, and an ordinary owner.
But who would have thought that this place was set up on top of a secret Joint Logistics Command outpost, and that the owner was even Joint Logistics Command agent Alina Zenacus, or Alex for short.
Vito agreed with Reynolds' suggestion. Alex was a man of principle; the new president of America hadn't fallen yet, so going to Moth Bar for a drink was no problem.
Vito had just sat down and ordered his drinks when he received a call from Mr. Henz.
"I'm going out to take this call."
Vito walked out of the Moth Bar, and Alex came over with a glass and a drink.
"Your boyfriend is quite busy. What does he do?"
"He is a prince who came with me to Dogtown for a trip."
"Haha, interesting. My little bar is honored to host a prince today."
Alex set the cups and trays down and left. She glanced at Vito outside the door without making a sound. Her agent had just sensed that Vito was not simple, which was why she had asked that unnecessary question.
Alex returned to the bar and poured himself a drink.
"Forget it, I'm already in this state, why bother worrying about that!"
Outside the door.
"Hey, Hanz, what's up?"
"Your request is complete, lad. Apparently, Thiago's screams made the people at the Night City Hotel think he was mentally ill. Your little lesson should teach Thiago a lesson. However..."
"Hantz, I really like your work, but can you finish what you're saying at once? I'm in a hurry."
"Haha, you don't seem like a greenhorn. But Thiago might get his new friends to cause you trouble, since you've disfigured him. My informant in Night City told me that Thiago is searching the whole city for the best doctor to operate on him."
"Disfigurement? That's one of the most popular characters. It's a blessing for Thiago to be able to play the live-action Patrick Star! It's only in Night City that this happens. In other places, a disgraced artist playing such a popular role would have his account deleted immediately."
“Interesting. My business with Thomasin is settled. From now on, you can take my jobs in Dogtown. I can guarantee that the pay will be commensurate with your abilities. That’s all, I’m hanging up now.”
Vito was quite happy to have more of these easy jobs in the future.
While I've done my part with Arasaka, I can't neglect military technology either.
Back at Moth Bar, Vito saw Li Ying drinking alone, while Cha was chatting with Alex, who was wearing a face mask, at the bar.
“You know what? At that time, Cha felt like his heart was about to break. Vito was being crushed under Adam’s hammer and was on the verge of death. Others might be afraid of Adam, but in Cha’s eyes, he was just a pervert who wore black paint as clothes. Cha rushed up and stabbed Adam.”
"And then what happened?"
"Later, Adam was about to pee himself, so he grabbed the rope and flew into the sky. He even fired a round of missiles before he was shot. Little Cha was hit a few times, but he took the hits to save Vito. He couldn't let his buddy be stuck to the ground like a pile of meat sauce."
Vito, seeing the boastful Cha, felt a surge of anger. He flashed behind Cha and slapped him on the back of the head.
Snapped!
"Hey! Who's doing this... Hehe, Vito, are you done on the phone?"
Vito looked at Cha with a sinister gaze.
"Who do you think looks like a pile of meat sauce?"
"Little Cha, Little Cha looks like a pile of meat sauce. Oh dear, Little Cha needs to use the restroom. Excuse me, ma'am, where is the restroom?"
Guided by Alex, Cha, who had not yet urinated, made a hasty escape.
"He's really interesting. If I only looked at his face, I would have thought he was the kind of tough guy who doesn't like to talk much."
"He's still just a child."
Vito sat back down in his booth, and Li Ying hummed along softly to the music playing in the bar.
Vito added a few slices of lemon and some ice to his glass and clinked it against Li Ying's glass.
“Miss Liying, your sick leave is over. A middleman gave me a car to drive around Dog Town. I hope you can get used to the narrow roads of Dog Town.”
“It’s alright, Mr. Vito. You’ll get used to it after a couple of laps. I’m very good at remembering routes.”
When Little Cha returned and saw the two of them engrossed in their time together, he quietly sat back down at the bar and continued chatting with Alex.
beep!
Hey kid, I need your help. Find someone who escaped to Dogtown, dead or alive. I've sent you the information and location.

Chapter 134 I'm Okay
“Working for capitalists means you get absolutely no rest time. Old Tang has assigned me some work. I’m going now, you guys stay here.”
After Vito finished speaking, he got up and left.
Liying also got up.
"I'll drive you, let's go."
Vito hesitated for a second, then nodded. The job was to capture a Zeta employee who had stolen project data from Zeta and defected; it shouldn't be too dangerous.
He glanced again at Xiao Cha, who was chatting and laughing at the bar.
Forget it, let this little peacock display its plumage at the Moth Bar.
Vito and Liying strolled leisurely to the roadside, and at that moment, the defector's location was set in a place in Dogtown called "Known Territory".
Vito pulled out the Snail 400 pickup truck that Hanz had given him; this small pickup was perfect for the narrow roads of Dog Town.
Vito took the passenger seat, and the Snail 400 headed toward the known territory.
……
The evening breeze swept across the abandoned open space, carrying coarse sand and dust.
This gray settlement, known as the Known Territory by the residents of Dogtown, is littered with rusted mechanical wreckage, fragments of discarded prosthetic bodies, and layers of scrap wood.
This used to be a square, but now it's so deserted that only concrete stairs and wire fences remain.
With no surveillance cameras or passersby, only small groups of addicts and gang members, this is one of Dogtown's underground trading points, where countless shady deals are conducted.
The night was dark, and several malfunctioning wall lamps flickered on and off. The dim blue light from the abandoned stalls swayed on the open ground, distorting and elongating the outlines of several figures.
The main character in tonight's trade is Karen, a prosthetics project developer at Zeta Technologies.
He was wearing a black work jacket, the collar deliberately pulled up to cover half of his face, his knuckles slightly white from gripping the storage box containing the encrypted data chip, and his eyes held fear and greed.
As an employee of Zeta, he stole an unpublished experimental data on the lower layer of prosthetic bodies from the company. This data was enough to make him rich for the rest of his life, or enough to make him die a gruesome death.
To ensure the deal went smoothly, he paid a deposit to find a native of Dogtown to act as an intermediary.
Karen had thought things through thoroughly, but he didn't quite understand Dogtown.
The middleman's name was Roddy. He was shrewd and worldly at heart. He wore a faded short-sleeved shirt and seemed honest and humble, but his eyes hid a calculating shadow.
Anyone who knows Roddy knows that this guy looks honest, but he's actually full of bad intentions.
He's the kind of person who, if he's supposed to repair one kilometer of road, would dare to steal 666 meters.
When he first took on the matchmaking job, he thought he was just going to earn a small commission. But when Karen bluntly revealed that the Zeta confidential information was worth a full 500,000 euros, Roddy's mind went completely astray.
Five hundred thousand.
In Dog Town, where resources are scarce and human life is cheap, this is an astronomical price that would allow an ordinary person to squander half their life, purchase a top-of-the-line prosthetic body, and completely escape the mire of poverty.
With this money, why would Roddy stay in Dog Town? He's going to Dragon Town!
So Roddy had no intention of honestly brokering a deal; he wanted to find a way to acquire Karen along with the goods.
Karen wanted to make a deal with the Tiger Claw Gang. He had heard a lot about them in Zeta and knew that the Tiger Claw Gang was supported by Arasaka. They should understand the value of this information.
However, the Tiger Claw Gang is located far away in the heart of Night City, and only a few small-time thugs selling medicine and parking in Dogtown. It would take a lot of time and effort for someone in charge to come to Dogtown.
As long as Roddy does things cleanly, no one will investigate a dogfight at the bottom of Dogtown, and no one will care about a company dog looking for the Tiger Claw Gang.
From the moment the location of the deal was finalized, Roddy had no intention of actually contacting the Tiger Claw Gang.
He secretly called up seven or eight thugs who frequented the stockyard and made a living by robbing and stealing goods. He borrowed a few leather jackets and graffiti masks that resembled those worn by gang members, and simply disguised himself as Tiger Claw Gang members. He planned to intercept the goods on the spot that night and swallow the 500,000 euro order.
Afterwards, wipe away all traces and let Karen disappear completely into the garbage of Dogtown. No, Karen's clothes and prosthetic body should still be worth some money. Let Karen disappear completely from the Cleaner's operating table!
It's time for the transaction.
Karen glanced around warily, her fingertips repeatedly stroking the cool outer shell of the storage box inside her bag, and spoke in a low voice.
"Where are the Tiger Claw Gang members? It's time."
Roddy stepped forward with a forced smile, his tone flat and even.
"Don't rush, Dogtown is a mess, the brothers are blocking the road, we'll be there soon. Is the stuff from Zeta secured? Cash on delivery, you should know the rules."
"The data is absolutely authentic and is Zeta's latest experimental draft, making it unique."
Karen lowered his voice, his tone both arrogant and deeply uneasy.
"Five hundred thousand euros, not a penny less. If you dare to double-cross us, you won't be able to afford the revenge."
His warning sounded pale and ridiculous to outsiders.
