"You don't need to know that."

Having confirmed that it was the information they were looking for, Agent Arasaka continued to cast a malicious glance at Valerie.

“It’s what we want, but if we help Abernathy get rid of you, I think she’d be happy to pay us another reward.”

After saying that, Agent Arasaka went to pull Valerie, who had lost her ability to move.

"Hey, you guys are really treating us like we're invisible?"

Vincent drew his weapon and pointed it at Agent Arasaka, while Jack drew his golden shrew.

“Vincent, I think these corporate dogs have forgotten whose territory they’re on.”

The Arasaka agents who were pulling Valerie released their grip, and they assumed a fighting stance, flicking out their mantis knives.

"Who are you calling a company dog?"

Jack whistled, and two wolf heads fell off the ceiling of the Wild Wolf Bar, revealing two menacing SJM heavy machine guns.

A chorus of exclamations erupted from the patrons drinking on the first floor of the Wild Wolf restaurant.

"Guess who I'm talking about as a company dog? Those who know when to quit are company dogs, but those who are beaten to pieces are just pretending they aren't."

"You dare threaten me?"

Agent Arasaka stared at Jack, but had already sheathed his mantis knife; they didn't want any mistakes to be made here.

An Arasaka agent pointed a finger at Valerie.

"We've got what we wanted, so we'll let you go for now!"

Vincent pointed his gun at Agent Arasaka.

"Get the hell out of here, you damn company dog."

After Agent Arasaka left, Jack put away the turret, and the two quickly went to Valerie's side.

"Hey girl, how are you?"

"I...I can't breathe..."

Jack picked up Valerie.

“Vincent, let’s take Valerie to Old Vie’s first.”

Chapter 149 When Will We Be Finished?

Vito had Li Ying park the car in an abandoned warehouse north of Long Beach.

He walked to the transaction location, and if things went wrong and it became necessary to evacuate, Li Ying could rush over by activating the Type 66's firing mode.

But most likely nothing will happen. The Whirlpool Gang only bullies ordinary people; when they encounter a ruthless person, they become mere toys.

They agreed to make the deal in an old factory. There are many such old factories in the North City Industrial Zone, and the Whirlpool Gang particularly likes to set up their base in factories.

Vito made no attempt to conceal his presence; he simply swaggered into the transaction location.

"Royce, the people from Dogtown are here, just one of them."

His men reported this to Reus.

"One? Are the people of Dogtown that arrogant?"

Reus was considering whether or not to raise the price on the spot.

To save face and to give the people of Dogtown some credit, Royce specially had several luxurious sofas set up and a tent erected on the factory grounds.

Of course, the sofa was also snatched up; Reus himself wouldn't buy this rubbish.

Vito, led by a member of the Whirlpool Gang, approached Royce.

"Holy crap, it looks like that guy is the one!"

One of Reuss's underlings couldn't help but gasp in surprise.

Royce was very dissatisfied. He scolded his ignorant underling, "Big Brother wants to discuss business, and you're making a scene in the back. The little boss of Man-Dog Town thinks our Whirlpool Gang are all amateurs!"

The younger brother whispered in Royce's ear.

"Boss, he's the guy who killed Kant!"

Reus's red composite prosthetic eye flashed several times.

He turned to look at Vito.

"You're the one who killed Kant?"

Vito was quite relaxed and didn't seem to care about Reus's aggressive behavior.

"I killed that idiot. What? You want revenge? I suggest you finish the transaction before you draw your gun, otherwise you won't even get to touch the money."

Royce chuckled.

"Hahahaha, I've never gotten along with that deadbeat. Whether he lives or dies is none of my business, but you've trampled on the Whirlpool Gang's reputation. We should settle this score!"

Vito also laughed savagely.

"Hehehehehe, bring out the robot first, and we'll settle the accounts slowly after I see the goods."

Reus waved to the back, and Doom Doom drove out a truck.

"Come on, the goods are in the carriage."

Vito followed Reus and saw the goods.

Holy crap, isn't that a crew cut?

Vito remained expressionless.

He tossed Reus a gold chip.

"The goods are good. You and Hansen agreed on the price. If you want to settle accounts with me, you can take your time and I'll pay with bullets."

Royce didn't insert the chip directly. This person in front of him had a grudge against the Vortex Gang, so he had to be careful.

"You fucking arrogant? Believe it or not... Holy crap, you're fucking ripping us off?"

Five hovercars rapidly approached the factory, startling Reus into drawing his gun and pointing it at Vito.

Vito said helplessly.

"You're the boss of the Whirlpool Gang, how come you have so little self-control? Did you put those damn red eyes on just for looks? Take a good look at your eyes, those are military-grade hovercars, you guys have been targeted for a long time, how can the intelligence level of this godforsaken place Night City be so low!"

This is why Hansen sent him to make the deal. The Vortex Gang is unreliable, and Military Technology was just waiting for both parties to appear so they could take them all down at once.

The doors of the airship opened, and several military drones flew out and launched an attack to clear obstacles for the airship's descent.

The Whirlpool Gang members retaliated in a panic, and Doom Doom quickly pulled out a mechanical spider, which was equipped with a Defender light machine gun.

Reus has disappeared without a trace.

Vito strode over to the mechanical spider, forcibly ripped off the defender, and picked up a light machine gun to casually spray bullets at the drone.

"What the hell are you doing, pulling my robot around like that?!"

Vito fired while releasing electromagnetic short-circuit puppets, and soon the drones were destroyed.

Before the military technology soldiers' hovercars had even come to a complete stop, they jumped off and took up tactical positions, while Vito's light machine guns fired continuously, suppressing them.

"Just throw grenades if you have them. Do you really think the Defender's magazine is an armory?"

Doom and his men quickly threw everything they could get their hands on at the military technology soldier: grenades, stun grenades, bottles, flashbangs, and Fujitsu fakes.

At that moment, Vito experienced a hallucination. He abandoned the unarmed Defender, pulled out a Euro with his left hand, and flicked out a hidden blade with his right hand, charging into the midst of the military technology soldiers.

He leaped into the air, plunged his right sleeve blade into a soldier's throat, and simultaneously used his weight to push the soldier down. With a swift motion, he slashed half of the soldier's neck open with the sleeve blade.

After pointing the euro, Vito killed a taxi driver who lunged at him. Then, with a running start, he kept waving the euro in his hand and pierced the eyes of four military technology soldiers in succession. He charged all the way to the man dressed as the captain, slid and shoved him over. As the man lost his balance, Vito plunged the sword in his right sleeve into the man's brain.

"Scatter! Scatter!"

The remaining military technology soldiers quickly spread out tactically, but the factory was not large to begin with, and with five hovercraft parked there, the area where they could move around was even smaller.

The military technology personnel were attacked by a strange man who rushed into the crowd, then, wielding a pistol and a bizarre knife, slaughtered many people in an instant, much to the dismay of the soldiers.

At this moment, Royce also came out. He hadn't run away, but had gone to put on his exoskeleton armor. Now that he saw the situation was actually very favorable, he certainly wouldn't miss the opportunity to beat a dog when it was down.

"Men, get them!"

Doom Doom took a puff of Glitter and led the charge. The Vortex Gang members shouted and yelled as they attacked the military tech soldiers hiding behind the hovercar.

The battle ended quickly, with Vito killing most of the people. He jumped down from various heights during the melee, killing people with his hidden blade, then disappeared, only to suddenly reappear from the top of a floating vehicle and assassinate them.

The soldiers in the military technology taxi had never seen this tactic before. They were like startled birds, staring blankly at the sky above them.

Then Vito burst out of the shadows again, flitting among them like a butterfly among flowers, each bullet and each swing of his hidden sword taking a life.

Taking advantage of the chaos, the Whirlpool Gang rushed out and captured the airship, also knocking the remaining taxi driver, Brain Flower, to the ground.

Royce didn't get any kills, but he's now rolling in money. He has five hovercars, which he can sell to the country bumpkins in the Badlands and rake in a hefty sum. There's this Snake Gang in the Badlands who's rich but stupid and will buy anything. Selling to them will be a huge profit.

Then, Royce looked at Vito. This guy was quite skilled. No wonder Hansen dared to send him alone. Royce forced a smile.

“Our deal is done. We’ve taken care of the military technology people for you. Now you can take the robot with you, and you can drive the car away too. Consider it a gift from me.”

Vito jumped into the car, and the Whirlpool Gang members waved and cheered him on, looking quite pleased with themselves.

Vito then looked at the co-pilot; a new illusionary figure had appeared during the battle.

"Your presentation was quite good, Shay Komark?"

"It's me, hello, Vito."

Chapter 150 Red and Blue

The car drove to the warehouse north of Long Beach. Vito and Li Ying met up. Li Ying drove the truck, while Vito talked to Shay in his mind.

Shay Patrick Kormark is the protagonist of Assassin's Creed: Rogue, and the one who drove the North American Assassin Brotherhood to the brink of destruction. He is an Assassin Master, and also a man who betrayed his Assassin identity to become a Templar.

All freedom exists within the framework of order; otherwise, it is chaos. The two are intertwined. Shay disapproved of the Assassin Brotherhood's abuse of the Assassin's Way in the name of freedom, so he defected from the Assassin Brotherhood.

"I didn't expect the second person to be you."

Vito said.

Shay stroked the hidden blade in his hand and said to Vito.

"Because you also expect true order in this world, the so-called freedom here has degenerated into chaos, just like those weirdos just now."

Vito agreed, confirming that these free cities, in their pursuit of so-called independence and freedom, had ultimately become breeding grounds for crime and puppets of the corporation.

"Your demonstration taught me a lot of skills. Is this what an assassin is like?"

Shay shook her head slightly.

“This is the assassin in your heart. You have been preparing for this day for a long time. My actions were just a rehearsal in your mind.”

Vito continued to ask.

"Shay, why are you the ones appearing in my head, while my lover is seeing other hallucinations?"

Shay sheathed his hidden blade and began cleaning his flintlock pistol.

"You haven't been provoked to your deepest fears, so we've come into being. You're not afraid of your enemies, nor are you afraid of the world."

You know, you can be perfectly fine as long as you let go of those life-changing ideas. Your life is pretty much set!

"But I don't want to give up."

"Yes, you won't give up. Have you thought about what you're going to do?"

Vito hesitated for a few seconds before finally speaking his mind.

"I want to spread out the chips after they are manufactured, so that people at the bottom can carve out their own path to success."

Shay shook her head slightly.
