Battle Through the Heavens: Inward Cultivation, Crying Xiao Yan

As for Dou Huang and Dou Zong, they are actually considered strong figures in Zhongzhou.

Geniuses who possess the power to become a Dou Huang or even a Dou Zong protector generally do not come to Canaan Academy.

The only decent thing about Canaan College is that it possesses the Fallen Heartflame.

Apart from that, his teaching ability, martial arts skills, and knowledge of elixirs are all quite average.

Moreover, the concentration of celestial and terrestrial energy in the Northwest Continent is much lower than that in the Central Plains.

Therefore, in summary, if the cultivation method is powerful enough, the cultivation speed is about the same.

This has led to a situation where some powerful geniuses rarely come to Canaan College.

Even though Canaan College has the reputation of being the top college on the continent.

Thinking of this, Kong Lihui spoke directly.

"Canaan College does not actually have very high requirements for its teachers."

"In the outer academy, even a Grand Battle Master can join and become an instructor."

"To enter the inner court, one basically needs to have the strength of a Battle King."

Upon hearing this, Xiao Yang looked at Queen Medusa and asked her telepathically.

"Your Majesty, why not join Canaan Academy for a while?"

Medusa didn't care about this; after all, it didn't matter where she cultivated.

"Row."

Seeing that Medusa had agreed, Xiao Yang spoke directly to Kong Lihui.

"Elder Kong, this is Medusa, and also my protector."

"She wants to join Canaan College. What do you think?"

Kong Lihui had anticipated this and said directly.

"This lady is probably stronger than me."

"To join, you need the Grand Elder's approval."

"However, I think the Grand Elder will not refuse."

"Wait a moment, I'll take you to register first, and then I'll take this lady to see the Grand Elder."

"Then thank you very much, Elder Kong."

Xiao Yang said with a smile.

Kong Lihui waved his hand and said nothing more.

Soon, he led the three of them to Canaan College.

Canaan College is very close to Peace Town.

The four of them flew over at a very fast speed.

During this time, Kong Lihui was also very surprised that Xiao Yang and Xiao Yixian possessed flying combat skills.

The registration process is very simple.

The two of them had joined Canaan College through normal channels.

However, since the others haven't arrived yet, it will still be some time before school starts.

However, Kong Lihui also knew that with Xiao Yang's or even Xiao Yixian's strength, there was no need for them to attend classes.

With Little Fairy Doctor's current strength as a six-star Dou Shi, there is a good chance that she will directly enter the Inner Academy after this Outer Academy Competition.

Since the current cohort of students hasn't arrived yet, Xiao Yang can choose any dormitory he wants.

He chose a double room and lived with Little Fairy Doctor.

As for Medusa, she also joined Canaan College very smoothly.

At Xiao Yang's suggestion, Medusa directly became an inner court elder.

……

After collecting some items and returning to her dormitory, Little Fairy Doctor had no intention of resting.

Anyway, we were on the back of the Feather Shadow Owl the whole way.

At this moment, Little Fairy Doctor looked at Xiao Yang with anticipation.

"I'm going to start trying to make medicine. You can keep an eye on things for me."

Upon hearing this, Xiao Yang nodded and took out a six-mouthed cauldron from his storage ring.

This is what he got from the Eight Doors.

"Here, try refining the medicinal herbs first."

"Let's start by trying the medicinal materials needed for the coagulation powder."

Upon hearing this, Little Fairy Doctor nodded and took out some blood-clotting powder from the rings Xiao Yang had given her.

After familiarizing herself with the medicine cauldron, she directly infused it with her soul fire.

Next, Little Fairy Doctor threw the Blood Clotting Grass directly into the medicine cauldron and began the first herbal extraction.

Chapter 203 Fifth-Rank Alchemist

The Little Fairy Doctor succeeded on her first attempt at extraction!

Although not all the essence of the blood-clotting herb was extracted, a small portion was burned.

However, this is still quite good!

When Xiao Yang first refined the herbs, he burned quite a few.

However, this is mainly due to the fire of the soul.

After adding the medicinal herbs, Little Fairy Doctor instantly sensed that the temperature of her soul fire was too high.

The control of the Soul Fire is very easy.

After all, it was created by my own soul power.

Therefore, with just a thought, Little Fairy Doctor adjusted the temperature of the Soul Fire.

As a result, she successfully extracted the essence of the blood-clotting herb.

Of course, there are some drawbacks to using the fire of the soul to refine medicine.

For example, the rate at which soul power is consumed is extremely fast.

Alchemists in the Douqi Continent primarily use Douqi to maintain their flames.

Little Fairy Doctor, on the other hand, uses soul power.

However, Little Fairy Doctor also gained something from Xiao Yang's breakthrough to the Spirit Realm.

Therefore, her spiritual realm reached the mid-stage of the mortal realm.

This makes her soul power sufficient to support the consumption of the soul fire.

After practicing a few times, Little Fairy Doctor will be able to extract the essence of the medicinal herbs very well.

After all, the Soul Fire was still too much!

Xiao Yang did not hesitate and immediately had Little Fairy Doctor begin trying to fuse the pill.

This step is indeed very difficult for beginners.

However, it is very simple in the face of the fire of the soul.

In just one night, Little Fairy Doctor successfully concocted a batch of blood clotting powder!

The Little Fairy Doctor was extremely excited after refining a first-grade elixir and immediately gave Xiao Yang a speech.

……

Two hours passed.

Xiao Yang glanced at Little Fairy Doctor, who was recovering her spiritual power, and then took out his Heavenly Profound Cauldron.

He was preparing to try refining a fifth-grade elixir!

This is the freshman dormitory.

It was relatively quiet because the new students hadn't arrived yet.

Xiao Yang had nothing to do during this time, so he used it to refine elixirs.

Before that, of course, we need to create a mission.

[Quest: Become a Rank 5 Alchemist. Reward: +1 Xuanhuang Flame, +10 random high-grade medicinal herbs.]

Holy crap!

Xiao Yang was somewhat shocked when he saw the mission rewards.

This time, the reward is actually the Xuanhuang Flame!

Even though the Xuanhuang Flame is only the lowest-ranked of the different flames.

However, even the lowest-ranked different flames are still different flames!

Looking at the mission rewards, a hint of excitement flashed in Xiao Yang's eyes.

The reward for a fifth-grade alchemist is a different kind of fire.

What would be the rewards for sixth-, seventh-, eighth-, or even ninth-grade alchemists?

At this moment, Xiao Yang couldn't help but feel a little expectant.

After a while, Xiao Yang came to his senses and created another task.

[Task: Refine three Grade 5 pills. Reward: Grade 5 pill proficiency +1, one Grade 6 magic core.]

Once Xiao Yang's alchemy talent reaches the advanced level, the difficulty of his alchemy tasks drops dramatically.

Moreover, the rewards haven't been reduced!

Without hesitation, he began refining the medicine.

The first one to be refined was, of course, the fifth-grade Rejuvenation Pill.

The Rejuvenation Pill and the Qi-restoring Pill actually come in grades one through nine.

Xiao Yang had no idea whether this was invented by alchemists from the Dou Qi Continent or added by the system.

Basically, among all grades of pills, except for the first grade, the Rejuvenation Pill and the Qi-restoring Pill are the easiest to refine.

Soon, Xiao Yang refined the fifth-grade Rejuvenation Pill and Qi-restoring Pill.

Because making fifth-grade pills is quite difficult, even Xiao Yang, who had reached the minor completion level of proficiency, failed once before finally succeeding.

Next, all that's needed is to refine one more to complete the task.

Just like before, a fifth-grade alchemist only needs to refine three different fifth-grade pills to become a system-recognized fifth-grade alchemist.

However, Xiao Yang was somewhat surprised to find that his proficiency had increased slightly after he had only refined two Rank 5 pills.

Without hesitation, he directly refined another Grade 5 Heart-Protecting Pill.

This is a elixir that protects the five internal organs and six bowels, and its effects are extremely powerful.

Moreover, the refining process is relatively easy.

Finally, after two attempts, Xiao Yang successfully refined the Heart-Protecting Pill.

The next moment, a system notification sounded in his mind.

[Quest: Become a Rank 5 Alchemist. Reward: +1 Xuanhuang Flame, +10 random high-grade medicinal herbs. Completed. Claim reward?]

[Task: Refine three Grade 5 pills. Reward: Grade 5 Pill Proficiency +1, one Grade 6 Magic Core. Completed. Claim reward?]

Seeing the mission rewards, Xiao Yang was excited and accepted them without hesitation.

After digesting the insights gained from the fifth-grade pills provided by the system, Xiao Yang did not claim the high-grade medicinal herbs and magic cores; instead, he directly entered the Strange Fire Tower.

After entering the Tower of Strange Fires, Xiao Yang immediately took out the Xuanhuang Flame, a reward from the system.
