Battle Through the Heavens: Inward Cultivation, Crying Xiao Yan

It should be noted that fifth- and sixth-rank alchemists are highly respected in Zhongzhou.

"There are many benefits to becoming an elder in our alchemy department."

"For example, you can purchase some high-grade medicinal herbs from within the academy."

"Moreover, one can also enter the deeper parts of the Heavenly Flame Refining Tower for further cultivation."

"Not only that, but every month the academy and our Department of Alchemy will allocate a sum of fire energy."

"If the academy doesn't have something, the Alchemy Department can even issue a reward for it!"

Upon hearing this, Xiao Yang couldn't help but feel a little tempted.

Especially the point about entering the Heavenly Flame Refining Tower for deeper cultivation.

He was aware of this as well.

Because Medusa cultivated at a deeper level.

Furthermore, you can also purchase medicinal herbs from the academy's collection.

In the end, Xiao Yang couldn't resist the temptation and agreed immediately.

“Alright, I can become an elder of the Alchemy Department.”

"However, Elder Huo, let me make this clear first: I probably won't be staying at Canaan Academy for too long."

Elder Huo had anticipated this.

How could a genius like Xiao Yang stay at Canaan Academy forever?

"no problem!"

"You only need to refine a little bit of pills every month during the time you are an elder."

"The medicinal materials will be provided by the Department of Pharmacy."

"As for compensation, you can choose fire energy or go to the medicine management office of the medicine refining department to see what medicinal materials you need."

Xiao Yang's eyes lit up when he heard about the Medicinal Herbs Management Office.

"Elder Huo, could you take me to the medicinal herb management office?"

Chapter 228 Mingwang Dan

Elder Huo agreed without hesitation.

"We can go take a look now."

"Anyway, you're now considered an elder in our Alchemy Department."

"Although ordinary trainees cannot go to the medicinal materials management office."

“But our alchemy department is an exception, especially since you are now an elder.”

"Come on, I'll introduce you to Elder Hao while I'm at it."

Alternatively, Elder Huo would prepare to take Xiao Yang to the Herbal Medicine Management Office.

Xiao Yang didn't hesitate and flew up with Elder Huo.

Elder Huo was also somewhat surprised when he saw the Purple Cloud Wings on Xiao Yang's back.

However, considering Xiao Yang's cultivation level and alchemy skills, he wasn't surprised.

Soon, the two arrived at a building in the inner courtyard.

From the sky, Xiao Yang could still vaguely see several mentors patrolling.

Upon seeing Xiao Yang and his companion descend from the sky, a look of vigilance instantly appeared on their faces.

However, upon seeing Elder Youhuo, the instructors dispersed again and continued their patrol.

Elder Huo led Xiao Yang directly into the medicinal herb management office.

Inside, there was an old man guarding the place.

Xiao Yang sensed that the other party was probably just a Fighting King.

He couldn't help but secretly complain to himself.

I never imagined that such an important place would be guarded only by the Fighting King.

No wonder Zi Yan was able to sneak in and steal medicinal herbs.

Thinking of this, Xiao Yang also became curious about where Zi Yan was.

He hasn't seen Ziyan yet in the few days he's been in the inner courtyard.

They hadn't even heard of Ziyan.

The main reason is that he didn't interact much with other senior students in the inner courtyard.

He hadn't even interacted with any of the new students, let alone the upperclassmen.

Because of Medusa, the other senior students dared not approach Xiao Yang.

The old man at the medicinal herb management office didn't show any particular expression when he saw Elder Huo.

However, the look in his eyes when he looked at Xiao Yang was somewhat curious.

"Old man Huo, what brings you here with a little fellow?"

"Is this your newly accepted disciple?"

Elder Hao looked at Elder Huo and asked with some curiosity.

Upon hearing this, Elder Huo curled his lip and said.

"I also want to take him as my disciple, but I'm not worthy!"

"Neither of us knows who taught whom."

Seeing that Elder Huo didn't seem to be joking, Elder Hao was also somewhat shocked.

He never expected that, in order to look so young, his alchemy skills would be even stronger than Elder Huo's!

You should know that Elder Huo is a fifth-grade alchemist!

Thinking of this, Elder Hao's expression became much friendlier.

"Young friend, is there any medicinal herb you need that you've come to me for?"

He really wanted to get to know such a young Rank 5 alchemist.

To become a fifth-grade alchemist at such a young age, he is very likely to become a sixth-grade or even seventh-grade alchemist in the future.

If I get to know them now, my hope of breaking through to the Douhuang realm might just lie in them!

Elder Huo said irritably.

"This is the new elder of my Alchemy Department!"

“I brought him here to have a look.”

"And by the way, give him his paycheck for this month as well."

Elder Hao was not surprised to hear that Xiao Yang was now an elder in the alchemy department.

After all, the Department of Alchemy is separate from the Inner and Outer Academies and is a separate system.

Therefore, Elder Huo can appoint the elders of the Alchemy Department himself.

All you need to do is tell the other senior members of the college.

"May I ask how this elder should be addressed?"

"My name is Hao Ren, and I am an elder of the inner court."

"I am currently in charge of the medicinal materials management office as well."

Upon hearing this, Xiao Yang clasped his hands in a respectful bow and said...

"Hello Elder Hao, I am Xiao Yang."

"I want to see how many medicinal herbs I can exchange for this month's quota."

"If there are other medicinal herbs you want, I can also trade them for fire energy."

Elder Hao did not hesitate and directly handed a catalog to Xiao Yang.

Now that I want to be an elder in the alchemy department, I am certainly qualified to know what medicinal herbs the medicinal materials management office has.

After all, the Medicinal Herbs Management Office was actually established primarily for the purpose of establishing the Medicine Refining Department.

Other powerful individuals were also unable to maximize the effects of these medicinal herbs.

"Thank you, Elder Hao."

After thanking him, Xiao Yang took the catalog of medicinal herbs and began to look at it.

To his surprise, he discovered that there were quite a few high-grade medicinal herbs here!

However, it is also noted that some high-grade medicinal materials are stored in the library.

Without hesitation, Xiao Yang exchanged all of his "salary" for high-grade medicinal herbs this month.

Not only that, he also used fire to buy some.

Unfortunately, his fire energy wasn't very high, so he couldn't buy many medicinal herbs.

Looking at the medicinal herbs in the herb management office, Xiao Yang planned to spend more time refining some pills to sell directly to the alchemy department.

There are indeed many good medicinal herbs here.

After all, this is the culmination of many years of hard work by Canaan College.

Without hesitation, Elder Hao immediately took out the medicinal herbs that Xiao Yang needed and handed them to him.

"Elder Xiao, these are the medicinal herbs you need."

"Please check it."

Xiao Yang accepted the medicinal herbs that Elder Hao handed over without any hesitation.

He scanned the medicinal materials with his spiritual power and immediately confirmed that they were all qualified.

"The medicinal herbs are fine, thank you Elder Hao."

After Xiao Yang put the medicinal herbs away, several notification sounds indicating that the task was completed rang in his mind.

When he first bought the medicinal herbs, he also created some quests.

"It's right, it's right."

Just then, Elder Hao suddenly thought of something and looked at Xiao Yang to ask.

"I wonder if I could ask Elder Xiao to refine some pills for me later?"

"Of course, I will prepare the payment according to the alchemist's rules."

Xiao Yang agreed without hesitation.

"no problem!"

"If you need any pills refined, Elder Hao can come to me."

As he spoke, Xiao Yang directly told Elder Hao the location of his villa.

He was eager for someone to ask him to refine medicine.

On the Douqi Continent, the rules for hiring a pharmacist to refine medicine are very simple.

Three portions of medicinal herbs, plus a reward.

Moreover, you don't have to pay compensation if the refining fails!

You don't even have to return the payment!

This is the status of alchemists on the continent.

Given Xiao Yang's success rate, he couldn't be more eager for more elders to come to him to refine elixirs.

In this way, he can also obtain the medicinal herbs that these elders have collected over the years.

Elder Hao said that because of what Elder Huo had just said.
